Great service by Mitch. He was VERY thorough and answered all my questions. He inspected everything and measured all sorts of items. He was carrying all the appropriate and professional tools. He took his time and was gentle on the machine. He didn't pressure me into anything, or try to scare me into buying anything unnecessary. I was happy with everything he did.

The service tech informed us that Harriman didn't install proper 4" filter opening during install five years ago. Norman, their manager gave us one choice, which wasn't correct for our home size. The business manager acted as if they had no responsibility to fix the issue, and quoted us an additional $1700 price to do what should have been done five years ago.

Service Tech Brent was able to diagnose and fix a problem with my Lennox HE furnace that only happens occasionally. He traced the problem to a bad pressure switch that only failed under certain operating conditions and replaced it (part under warranty). Brent and Harriman Heating were prompt both in the initial service visit (the same day I called for support) as well as in getting the replacement part and returning to install it -- I actually had to have them wait an extra day after getting the part so that I could be home, as they got it faster than I'd anticipated! This is the second time I've used Harriman with great satisfaction; while my furnace is only 5 years old, the original installer is no longer doing residential service.

Fantastic service from Harriman tech Justin! When I turned on furnace for the first time this year (five-year-old high-efficiency Lennox), it would shut down, giving an error code for the blower motor. After several days of trying other companies, who all declined my request to help (or simply failed to call me back at all), Harriman took my call and had me on the schedule within a few minutes, with a tech arriving later that day. Internet searches suggest Lennox furnaces can be particularly tricky to service, and mine was no exception. The error code given by the furnace only indirectly showed where the actual problems were, and Furnace Tech Justin had to spend long periods of time on hold with Lennox to verify his diagnosis and receive clearance to replace the parts under warranty, including two trips to a dealer location half an hour away to find the appropriate parts (the logic board and the motor control unit). For the price -- a $99 initial service call and $300 flat-rate repair fee -- I received exceptional value from Harriman. Not only a large chunk of Tech Justin's time on the direct problem, but plenty of guidance on thermostat use for optimal heating performance, etc. Next time I have any heating needs, Harriman will definitely be my first call (rather than my 12th!)

I would highly recommend Harriman. Everyone I interfaced with from the office staff to the field personnel were polite and professional, they patiently answered all my questions & they did a quality job. Howard did the estimate and he was great. He came out a second time when I wanted some printed info and quickly answered text questions I sent. He didn't try to oversell me and I felt I got a very honest assessment of what I needed. Jessie and Shaine did the install. They did great work, cleaned up everything and went over the furnace & AC after completion. Very happy with the experience.

Our 2.5 year old top-of-the-line water heater, which we purchased from this vendor stopped working on a late Friday night. We paid for an emergency call, only to discover that the vapor sensor had been overcome by the fumes of having our hardware floors resealed. He took the sensor outside to air it out, reset it, and put a plastic bag around it until our floors dried. Luckily for us, the owner of the floor company reimbursed us for the service call.

I got charged a $99 service charge and an additional $253 to furnish and install a $50 part. Serviceman used a total of 1.5 hours, including his roundtrip to get the part. $352 for this job, in my opinion, is extremely excessive and borders on racketeering. Totally got taken advantage of in an emergency situation... Never Again!!

We do not charge separately for labor and all of our costs are a flat rate cost for repair. The $253 charge was our flat rate price for the part that was needed to fix your unit. You agreed to the price and for our technician to continue with the work before he proceeded. I apologize you feel our prices our excessive, but they are the same price whether it is an emergency or not. I am sorry you feel taken advantage of, that was not our intention and we hope you will use us again in the future to change your mind."

Strange service call. They drilled holes in the old furnace walls to inspect the heat exchange. Got a second opinion from Alert Heating and Cooling. They confirmed the furnace did not need an exchange repair and patched the inspection holes (that were not necessary!) Sorry, but as nice as these guys are personally, we will not use Harriman Heating Inc. They call us every season and give them the same answer and reason. Never heard back from Harriman about our complaints, even though we purchased a new furnace elsewhere in 2017 based upon their original recommendation?

I had rental properties that I used them to service. The last time they serviced one of my rental properties, I had to replace a furnace, and they sort of gouged me on price. So I will not be going back to them. I had been using them for 6 years before that. I expected some kind of discount since I had been using them for so long. It was the middle of winter, you got a new born in the house, and you have to replace the furnace right away because it dies. When they get you over a barrel like that, for not a normal customer you would expect to be gouged, but since I was a regular customer. They serviced the house, they did replace the hot water tank a year prior, and I had gotten the A/C units from them in the house 6 years ago. I would have expected better treatment and I didn't get it. I made it well known for them. after the fact, that I would not be using them anymore. I was not happy.

When it comes tho the cost of our units, it depends on more than just the furnace. Our prices include the cost of the equipment, materials needed (which you needed additional materials because you also needed a chimney liner), labor and the cost of permits which are required by the city you reside in. The cost that was given to you was a standard price given to all of our valued customers and you were treated as one. So again I do apologize that you did not like our cost and we do value you as our customer."

Went great, Jeff and Brian got in checked the furnace and filters, and did a great job cleaning up the furnace. Secondly, I have to note that last summer we had an AC problem and Harriman came out and fixed it. At the time I paid for a maint package with the furnace cleaning up rolled in the price. Harriman nicely called and reminded me of the services to be completed and scheduled a call within the times I was available. Kudos to Jef, Brian, and the Harriman team.
