The service was fine. They did everything they said they were going to do including the price we agreed on. They did show up on the day we scheduled. We bought a big deal.

Replaced old air conditioner with new smaller more efficient model -- including updated wiring, etc. They came when promised, and cleaned up everything. They made arrangements for city inspection, etc.., which the owner requested. The air conditioner has been working perfectly. We would happily recommend them to anyone who asked.

Service was to be provided between12-4. At approx 3:30 I called the company to ascertain the arrival time. I was told between 4:00 and 4:30 (I never received a call regarding their running late). At 4:45 I called again, got an answering service and told them that I wanted to cancel the appointment. They said they would deliver the message. Shortly after 6 pm , my doorbell rang and it was my 12-4 appointment and he began with no apology,but telling me what an awful day that he had experienced. I said that my day had not gone as planned either waiting for him. Not being a person trained in HVAC, I cannot tell you if he did a good job or not. The system worked well the year before and in previous years, I have used other providers in the past, but used Angie's list because of my membership. I waited all afternoon and into the early evening, not one word about the delay or an apology. I have better uses for my time. Not happy with this company and would not use them again.

It just went fine. I was able to ask him any questions. It really was a good experience with them. I would use them again in the future.

It went very good! There were no extra charges beyond the big deal amount. He was there on time.

Great. On time. Reported A/C appeared to be in good shape (I was concerned as it's an older model) and didn't try to pitch a new unit on us!

The technician showed up right on time, was friendly, professional, and courteous. He didn't try to sell me anything extra (and I wouldn't have known one way or the other), he just advised me that one component should probably be replaced next year. He was finished within an hour. You really can't ask for better than that.

He was efficient and courteous. I had another air conditioner that he took care of as well. He had the part available and I was very pleased.

Purchased Angie's special 49.99 Tune up for AC. Had not had the AC serviced for at least three years. Service man showed up on time and performed service as required. He found the Freon low in the unit and had to add several pounds. The thermostat was not having the air kick on and was inaccurate. He found the contacts in the AC unit were going bad and he replaced them then adjusted thermostat and calibrated it. When it was over the bill was over $400. But for the work performed it was a fair price and we actually saved some money by having him perform the needed work while he was out here. .

Arrived on time, very nice, showed me what he was doing as he did the work. Identified problems but didn't push me to make immediate decisions on non-emergency repairs. Really appreciated the work.

Very friendly/professional technician. I will use Harriman if/when I need heating/cooling work in future.

He stated that I needed a new compressor. When I told him I didn't have a lot of money, he said the one I had could be repaired. I asked how much it would cost and he stated his boss would call me later that day to give me a price. I never heard from them again. I was left disappointed.

****I am now editing my original review of this company because they came out today to service my AC and furnace. Yes, despite what happened on the phone with the company prior to them coming out and doing the job, I must say I was overall pleased with the service. The tech was very nice and professional. he explained everything very thoroughly. He answered all my questions honestly and gave me his advice on what to do about my AC/furnace issues in the future. I think the only improvements they could make is better communication when you contact the office. They are very nice nonetheless at the office, but the mishap with my original appointment could be easily avoided in the future with better communication. The tech is going to inform the office to put me on a yearly reminder to get my Filters and Freon checked, etc. I'm happy with the outcome and will continue to use them in the future.****** This is my initial review of this company. I purchased a deal for AC tune up through Angies LIst. I purchased this deal because it was advertised on angies list and they had a very good rating. My first appointment was scheduled for last week but they called me the day of and cancelled because they had service calls that I guess were more of a priority. I didnt mind all that much, but they wanted to wait until mid june to come out. I'm 8 months pregnant and really wanted this done right away because I"m not going to use my a/c until its complete. I asked them if they could come earlier. The receptionist said monday, 5/27 is the soonest. I said that was fine and I also questioned her about the fact that it was memorial day and asked 'are you guys working that day?' she assured me that yes they were working. I scheduled the appointment for today between 9am and noon. I called their office to confirm the appointment since it was already after 11am and I hadnt heard from anyone. The answering service had a tech guy call me and he told me they were closed and not working today. I said that was odd since your office scheduled this appointment for me and assured me you were open today. He wasnt all that sympathetic and he hung up on me before I was able to ask any further questions regarding rescheduling my appointment. I called him back and said 'you hung up on me, I need to reschedule and I"m 8 months pregnant and going out of town this wednesday and would really like this to be done beforehand'. HE said 'ok fine, we'll do it tomorrow'. We shall see if they show up or call. I told him I had already paid for the deal and would really like for the job to be completed . I"ll post more tomorrow after they come (or if they come)

Very good! I had a "spring checkup" performed on my A/C unit. The company arrive exactly on time and the tech. did a thorough inspection of the condenser and furnace. He noticed a way that I could improve the airflow to my home and patiently explained how and why in very concise, non-technical terms that i understood perfectly. He offered to wash out the exterior of my condenser, but I didn't have my hose hooked up yet, and told him I wouldn't until I got my sprinkler system turned on. He then told me he'd come back and re-check the condenser for free after I got the hose out since apparently having clean fins in the cooler makes a difference on the amount and pressure of coolant needed.

We added a little bit more to the big deal price because they found some parts that needed to be replaced. They did a nice job and got the furnace running. The house had been vacant for a year, the house is about nine years old, I don't think there had been any service done to this furnace since it's been installed. The humidifier filter was absolutely disgusting, it wasn't operating. They did a nice job of cleaning it up and inspecting it. They came up for a second visit because they didn't have a part that they needed but they came back and took care of that part within a couple of days. We were very pleased with their service and for that reason, we've gone ahead and ordered this other coupon to have the air conditioning unit inspected and that will be happening in a couple of weeks. They were really personable, on time, professional, we didn't have a bad experience with them at all. We will use them again. They spent some time and explained everything that they were doing. My husband was the one who was actually working with them but the repair man just did alternative things that he could do whatever it is that he fixed, he provided lower cost alternatives that my husband can do things himself instead of them doing it to save a lot of money so that was good, it was something that they didn't need to do, my husband was capable of taking care of.

I was told this is out of my area. Yes, if they worked in my area.

That went quite well. I used them a month ago. I bought a deal online. They cleaned the boiler. They did what they were supposed to do. Everything was just fine. The price was reasonable. I would use their services again. The quality of their work was good.

Serviceman was very pleasant, punctual, and proficient. Well satisfied.

Harriman was prompt, professional and polite. I have a very old furnace and he reminded me to keep CO detectors in place, to have it inspected every year, but did not pressure me to buy a new furnace. I was very pleased and will have them back next fall.

The employee checked everything out on the furnace and then gave us several recommendations on how to maintain our furnace. He recommended changing the humidifier filter. He had the necessary part in his truck and installed it. He suggested that we change the settings on the humidifier in order to be more efficient. He was very polite and worked quickly.

First - we got a call from Harriman's proactively - they saw that we bought the big deal and offered to schedule it right away. The lady on the phone was very friendly and polite. She scheduled me for a day I would be home and a four hour window of time. They also called the day of to confirm. James was the service tech that came to our home. He was so incredibly patient with me. Our prior home was boiler heat, so I had a lot of questions about our furnace and why we felt it wasn't working properly. He thoroughly inspected the furnace and discovered..um...lots of toys...down in the coil (s?). When we first moved into the property - we had a lot to do just to make it liveable...and one of the items was that the floors had huge holes where duct work was exposed and in some points you could see down into the basement. Obviously, while we were not paying attention - he was enjoying the sound of huge toddler legos clinking down the duct work into the furnace. Also - the filter was filthy...and come to find out - we also had a baby snake that had long since passed away in there. YUCK. (the house was empty for at least a year - probably two. James explained everything along the way - what he was inspecting, how it looked, how it worked...what it would look like if it were bad - things we should watch for..things we should fix up here and there. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was SURE that I was going to get someone that just wanted to sell me a furnace - and I figured we might even need one. Instead he showed me how to maintain it and how to fix it - then offered to change the filter for me with one he had in the truck..but first warned me that I could probably find one $7 cheaper at Home Depot. The cleaning was $59 and the filter was $39. Overall - his time was worth well more than that. When it comes time to replace the furnance ..hopefully we can get two more years out of it - I will definitely be calling back. Top notch...another Angie's List Big Deal...worth it's weight in gold!! They immediately told me that I had a crack causing carbon monoxide to enter my house. I did not believe them and had it checked by another company-each year of the past two years and no one said there was a crack. They continue calling me asking if I would like to have a winter check up -- five times in the past twelve months. I have asked them to remove me from their list and each time they say they will--but the calls continue. Let me get this straight. I have a carbon monoxide leak--they tell me they could should the unit down and ask me to leave the house. My carbon monoxide monitors say there is no reading, another company says there is no leak, no crack. But they would going to do me a favor and reduce the charge of fixing the leak to only $400. If there was a leak when you were here you would have shut down the furnance. You did not. Enough said.

Since I know that my furnace is old (and neglected) I was afraid that it was going to turn into a situation where I was being pressured into purchasing things and I was going to have a hard time getting the guy out of my house. I was completely wrong! The gentleman that performed the tune up was super friendly and efficient. At the end of the cleaning he laid out some problem areas and gave me his opinion but he didn't make me feel like I needed to made a decision that instant. We talked about the pros and cons of the different ways that I could proceed and he left his business card and was on his way.
