This was my first time using my membership and it was a wonderful experience. The furnace cleaning big deal was $59. The technician was on time, quick and efficient. He advised us to get a humidifier filter and we did ($40, from him). he came prepared, so we don't have to worry about that (purchasing and installing). The 15 year old furnace was running loud, like it was on its last legs and now we can barely hear it running. The tech said it was in good shape and just needed a good cleaning. Although this was an excellent deal, the best thing was not to have to worry about being scammed. Thank you Angie's List, this is the best thing I could have done.

DTE decided to condemn my moms furnace leaving her with no heat. I called Harriman just before Christmas. We needed a new furnace installed ASAP. Harriman delivered. Other companies tried to sell us a huge installation, Harriman listened to our needs and gave us a absolutely fair price. From first call to completion, I spoke with with sales, the office, the owner, and two great installers. From first contact to completion, everyone at Harriman was very professional and accommodating. I received a fair price, quick installation, and prompt courteous service. What more can you ask for on a tight timeline with a difficult installation seeking a fair price? These guys were great and I will not hesitate to do business with them again.

Technician showed up in the stated time frame. He explained everything he was going to do and performed the maintenance. He found an item that will likely need to be replaced in the future. He explained what the issue was but didn't pressure me to replace now. Very satisfied with service.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It went really well. They did a good job. He was very professional, but while he was here I had him check my thermostat, it wasn't working as well as I thought it should and part of it was broken on the inside. It couldn't be programmed, so I had him put a new one in.

I sad thanks but it don't have that kind of money. And I will try to find someone that can fix it. What a surprise that the guy tells me that something like that can not be repaired. 10 minuts later he calls me back and says that he mixed up the 240v and 120v motors and the one I need is going to cost me 500. So I got home later that day and decided to call down river hearig as cooling suply to check what it would cost to buy a new motor. They had one on the shelf for 215.00. And that's the average joe price. So the tech probably could buy it for half that price. And shire enough I found the same motor from amazon for 89.00 needles to say. I bought that one. Claimed under the house to put it in and decided to see what it would take to get the old one working. Took it of put some lube in the bearings. Spun the motor throught manually. Put it back on and what a surprise. It works. So I paid for a cleaning and lube service and that's exactly what the furnace needed. No I didn't call them to complain about it. What's the point? I did the rest of the lube and cleaning myself while I was under the house. So if you cherish your money. Don't believe a word of what they tell you if it turns out that something is broken. I spend 30 minuts to find a part price 6 times less than what I was quoted by the tech and didn't even need it in the end.

I was not impressed. The service man spent 10 to 15 minutes checking furnace out. Told me I needed a new motor which would run $439.00, he didn't specify if this price included labor. I asked how long the present motor would last - he said it could last 3 months or could go tomorrow. I told him I would think about it. My nephew (who's an engineer) stopped by shortly after that and found the motor on line for $149.00. The estimate from Harriman was quite a mark-up. Nephew ordered it and put it in. Took him less than 10 minutes.

I found this company via the Angies List prepaid deals, I paid and called on 10/11/13, they sent me an email immediately and scheduled my visit a week later 10/18/13, they allow a morning or afternoon time span, I chose the morning 9 AM to 1 PM, they were within the time frame, my tech name was Rob, he was AWESOME!, Rob was very nice and friendly, he showed me some things about the furnace I was not aware of, he gave me tips, he did a thorough job cleaning the system, and even cleaned off the water heater (this was not a part of the job, just excellent customer service), furnace began to hum a lot quieter before he was finish. I was totally satisfied, I will Definitely be recommending this company to friends and family.

I had initially contacted Harriman through an Angie's list deal for a seasonal furnace tune up. He spoke to me about the issues I was talking to and knew his stuff. Unfortunately he found a hole in the secondary heat exchange and that was it. Time to replace. Naturally I used Harriman for a quote and Norm (salesman who came out) was very friendly. He actually suggested the model of furnace I was leaning towards without me having said anything either. I got a couple more quotes from other companies and found his was the best. Harriman even negotiated the warranty limitations on labor with me. Also the fee paid for the annual tune up on the old furnace that never worked was refunded to me as part of the price. Installation was done quickly and they answered every question I had. They even improved upon the set up that was there. I noticed an issue with something after they left and the installer was back the next day to look without any problems. There ended up being no issues, but he was just fine in coming out to check. The ONLY negatives I'd have (and these are slight) were that appointments were confirmed without actually confirming with me (I called to double check only to find that they had already booked things) and I was told about a discount that wasn't available to me (overall the price was very competitive anyway). I will definitely be using them for annual check ups and and give first refusal to them for other HVAC jobs if needed.

Very Well! We received usable information on the care and maintenance of our systems and low cost suggestions for future repairs and purchases. Very friendly and helpful service technician was thorough on time for both appointments.

They were very professional. The representative who came out was very friendly to talk to and he did a couple of maintenance checks and told me how to maintain it.

Everything was basically fine. Technician recommended furnace be replaced in a few years. All is well.

I decided to try Harriman Heating when they offered a furnace cleaning deal on Angie's List. The price was very reasonable compared to other businesses I'd used before. I was quite pleased with their service, too.I believe they came out within just a day or two -- no long wait. They were on time, courteous and professional. I was so happy with their service that I used them again in the summer to clean and inspect my air conditioner.

They did the work and handled everything professionally.

Inspected A/C coils, furnace, vacuumed out vent pipe, inspected outside air conditioner. Found a problem and with A/C switch and repaired it.

Over all it went good. The service man was informative and he checked my freon levels but the inspection went so quickly I don't know if anything else was checked or cleaned.

The service turned out well. The service did cost a lot more than I thought it would as I needed a coolant charge in addition to the air conditioning check. The work was done very well and the system has run well since.
