Very well, The people who answer the phone are amazing and very responsive. The workers were fast and professional and the job is beautiful!

I had two floors refinished years ago and they are still as beautiful as the day they were completed. Functional Flooring did an AWESOME JOB!! Everyone was so nice and professional!! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

I would highly recommend Functional Floors and Finishing, the experience from initial contact for a quote until the completion of the job was very professional and met our expectations. The work crew were punctual every day, and keep us informed on the progress of the job. They were also very respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves, which is not always the experience with contractors. Our floors turned out awesome, we couldn't be happier with the quality of work put forth on our project.

This was such a great experience. Our old and light yellow hardwood floor is now a beautiful medium brown. The employees were polite and professional. I am a perfectionist and they exceeded my expectations.

Both times I had them come out they did a great job and I have loved my floors. Will be calling them back again to refinish another room that I finally got the carpet removed from.

Everything went according to plan. They did a great job and were easy to work with, making a potentially stressful event, easy for me. They moved all of my furniture for my entire house into the basement, removed my old carpet and refinished the wood floors, repairing the boards as necessary.

I was really happy with the work they did and the team whom did it. The gentlemen at the house were knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. In the future if budget allows, I hope to again use them as I have 3 bedroom that I too want sanded with the 3 coats of poly. Maybe a stain added to one room? I would feel confident in hiring them again.

Their work was SUPERB. They also patched an area of floor where I removed a wall. The quality of the patch and overall finish is great. Very, very highly recommended.

Hardwood was refinished beautifully, but the baseboard was installed very sloppy. Caulk was globbed on the top of the baseboard and often smeared 1" on to the wall. Easily fixed, but shouldn't need to worry.

Tear out, flooring installation, staining and sealing were great. Love the finished look. The finish work needed some attention. Our concerns were addressed and corrected.

Functional Floors did an amazing job on our floors. They updated them from a golden/maple color to a rich dark brown. The rooms look so beautiful! All the personnel were friendly- Fred completed our project, he was extremely professional, kind, ans punctual. We appreciate their hard work and will definitely go with them again when we need to buff our floors. Thank you!

Finally a contractor that gives you a professional firm quote, arrives on time, does good work, and even cleans up. Why are they not all like this!

The job was completed in timely manner, no problems, for agreed-upon price.

Actually it went better than expected. After taking the carpet up that's been there for over 30 years the floors were in horrible condition. I am in awe of the work that Tom performed I would recommend him without hesitation. I am so impressed with my floors....GREAT JOB!!!!

Brian performed the work at my house and did a wonderful job. He was nice and professional and finished exactly when he said he would. Another wonderful person to work with is Mary. She set up my appointments and called to see how everything went. Truly and wonderful company.

Dust free equipment was at another job site so my house was covered in dust. They cleaned up NOTHING. I’m sure a lot of dust got into my polyurethane. Floors were rough after they were complete. Base boards really banged up. Horrible experience

Someone came out to measure the floors then a week went by and I never heard from them. When I emailed about the quote the person that did the measurements called me and gave me some BS excuse that his boss didn’t want to do the job. I guess it would have been to much trouble to let me know sooner. Very unprofessional company.

Disappointing. While they showed up on time, the quality of work was lacking. The floors were not sanded smooth and had to be redone. Trim was installed and had to be redone due to inconsistency in color, nail holes, and improper mitering. In addition to this, our curtain hardware near the floor was damaged. Took numerous calls to the owner to get the results we paid for. This company outsources Mr. Fixit to handle the removal and reinstallation of the toilet. The guy spilled water all over our newly-sealed floors as he tried to carry the toilet back into the house.

Not the cheapest company you can hire, but you get what you pay for sometimes. Work was phenomenal quality..

From start to finish the work was amazing. We felt so comfortable with the entire process, they were very professional and walked us through the entire process. Our floors look beautiful, they didn’t take long at all to confirm the date to start and the timeline was on point. I would strongly recommend Functional Floors to everyone.

Overall, we were satisfied, but we felt like what was promised in a few cases was not delivered. It is possible that we misunderstood. However, we had "matching baseboards and vent covers in our quote. We received the vent covers, but at completion of the job, we had to place these ourselves. The baseboards were not "matching", just plain white.

Did a great job. Price was a little steep.
