It went well. The technician was professional and discussed everything he was doing prior to proceeding, including cost and the time the job would take. As mentioned above he also looked at a couple of other things just to be certain things were working correctly. This company is great to work with, they are trustworthy and punctual and they guarantee their work for 30 days. We have worked with them before and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

They have come to my house twice and have been very good. Very reliable. They don't over charge and they always come out quickly. Very reasonable.

They were very willing to talk to me and answer my questions without coming out. Once they did come out, I was really disappointed. The in-house service person was able to give me more information than the service person that came out to my home. He seemed to be very knowledgeable when he gave me the information and pricing, but most of it came from brochures instead of giving me verbal information.

It was wonderful. They were helpful from the salesman to the installers. They were neat and cleaned everything up. They did a very professional job. They sent a technician out later to check on the furnace and now they have arranged for me to have the city guy out, so they are very good.

The salesman was very helpful and we didn't feel like he was trying to push something on us that we didn't need. They had been out before to inspect and work on the unit a couple of years earlier. It was older and it was no surprise that it needed replacing. He gave us a discount. We received an additional discount for paying cash rather than using a credit card, which we thought was great. They were in and out in a few hours. They also threw in a free thermostat for the entire house for the heating and cooling. It was a digital thermostat that was quite nice and we could program it. We were quite happy. We would definitely use them again.

Can't even remember the name of the guy who came out, but he literally gave me the impression, without saying so specifically, that I would never see or hear from him again. He left saying he would send me a bid....and it would be competetive.....while showing me his back as he literally ran out my front door. I can only guess our job, which was a bit involved, was more than he was willing to take on. (I have said this on another post, but I was very surprised in getting estimates at the number of companies who came and never followed up. I had 6 estimators come out, three of them left and never followed up.) A follow up to at least say thanks for giving us the opportunity to look at your job, but they did not want to bid, or the professionalism to tell me that is the case on the spot, would have been a better impression.

They could not come out immediately after we called but it was only a couple of days delay, not bad considering that the weather has been blisteringly hot and there are probably a lot of A/C service calls. The Serviceman arrived on time and took a look at the furnace, thermostat, and A/C unit. He asked a number of questions to find out what was happening with the unit. He told me I could have it checked for leaks and recharged or just have it recharged. He was able to give me enough information for me to decide to go ahead and just recharge with some confidence that there was probably not any leak. A leak check was another $100. Afterwards, he confirmed that the unit only took 2 pounds of coolant, not an unusual amount to leak over the 7 year time span since its installation, and was holding pressure. He advised me to have it checked every other year in the future and to get it checked for leaks if performance is poor again next year. Everything seems to be working like new.

The service was prompt and all technicians were very professional. I will definitely use D and G for all my heating and cooling needs.

We had also used them where we were previously living, and my family has used them for years. They have always been fantastic - I find no defects. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

This is the first time I had interaction with them. I think the technician knows what he was doing. He was courteous. He showed up on time. I can't really compare the price very well but they were able to get here on short schedule. They were responsive. The price was probably reasonable considering the work they did and cost of the service call. I can't really rate the price because I don't have a comparison but I think I got my money's worth. I would use them most likely - I would use them over some of the others I have had.

I called because our heat began to perform very poorly with the upper floors of my house only reaching 60 degrees. They were unable to come out because they were swamped with emergency no heat at all calls but they were very nice and walked me through how to check the heat seating on the broiler myself and where to find more information. We will definatly rely on them for our future service needs.

Dand G was a real pleasure to deal with, at all stages through the process. The salesman came and provided a very good consultation and estimate. This is not trivial our house, approx 90 years old, and a fair amount of time was spent discussing the challenges that our old house presented. Helpful information regarding the various government and energy utility rebates would apply to each type of system was provided, and a competitive quote was obtained promptly. The removal of the existing system and replacement went flawlessly, with a crew of 3 to perform the work. The crew was clean, courteous, busy, and professional. They had brought all the necessary equipment with them, and clearly knew their jobs very well. When installation was completed, a technician came out to perform the final checkout and go over the care and operation of the new system with me. Just as the case with the installation crew, the technician was a complete professional and very polite and helpful. All permits were pulled correctly, and final payment was arranged with the salesman a few days later. A week or so after that, the rebate forms for the furnace and A/C arrived by mail, and thoughtfully were already partially completed by Dand G. There was nothing negative about this experience at all, and the professional attitude and courtesy of all Dand G employees was very reassuring. I recommend Dand G to anyone that is looking for quality HVAC work at a reasonable price.

My humidifier is very old, and barely worked last year. I decided to get a new one and was quoted a price of $385 for new humidifier and labor (over the phone). When Bill and Ed showed up they decided that I really didn't need a new one after all, and instead suggested they just replace the "saddle valve" for $16.00! Labor did take a little longer than they thought it would, but they saved me $275!!! They were very professional and polite, and how often does a repairman talk you OUT of spending money??? I'll definitely use this company again!

I called up Dand G and spoke with Dan Donaldson. I asked for a price quote and he was able to give me a price over the phone. I scheduled the appointment. The technician who did the job was very proffesional, pleasant and did an outstanding job. He also was very honest. The new humidifier looks and works great. The furnace is clean and inspected. I would reccomend Dand G for heating and cooling work. MY experience with them was excellent.

I called this morning at 8:30 am to report that my furnace was not working. The answering service said she would contact the person on call and have them call me back. When I had not heard anything by 10 am, I called back. The answering service said that they found out that D and G was still on summer hours and was not on call at all, and thus, would not call me back. I pointed out that it was cold in my house, that I had two kids, and that no one had told me that there was no one on call. If I had not called back, I would never have known that they had not passed on the message, and that no one was going to respond. Bad service!

Dand G Heating and Cooling were very reasonably priced. We have a home warranty on our home for a year. Once that is up I would set up a contract with D and G Heating and Cooling Co. to do our heating and air-conditioning. There were 19 reports about them on Angie’s List at the time I checked, and they were all very good.

I thought my A/C unit was running weakly and probably needed additional Freon. I called Dand G to come out and clean and inspect the unit. I also asked them to check my heat exchanger. I was able to make an appointment for the day after I called!! They called about an hour before they came out and they did a very professional job of checking everything and explaining what they were doing. The technician gave me some options on replacing the air filter and also explained that I should have a damper in the humidified duct. They did the job and asked me before adding Freon to the system. He also did a nice job of checking the heat exchanger and kept everything clean - even wore booties over his work boots when he came in the house. Very helpful and professional.

I have to admit that as both my husband and I are laid off and money is a little tight I was worried about calling in someone to do service - you never know who will show up. Thank goodness Will showed up and did a great job of putting us at ease and fixed our problem in no time at all.

One company came in and said the heat exchange was bad. Someone from the same company came out again and said that he was wrong, so I had D and G come out to give a second opinion. I thought they did a really good job. They were very thorough in checking the furnace. They did three different test of carbon monoxide and a video scope of the inside, so they could see the heat exchanger. The person who did the work, Will, was very knowledgeable and he answered all of our questions and we had a lot.

I called for service when I discovered my air conditioning was not working. The service dispatcher was kind enough to suggest checking a couple of things such as a blown fuse in case it was a minor problem I could fix. The problem was more serious and I called back for a service appointment and they came out promptly. The service technician spent lots of time trying to resolve the problem and then called the office to verify his findings. The diagnosis was that the compressor was bad. It was not a shock, since the unit is 25 years old. This company had installed the air conditioning system for the previous owner of my home. During the last 21 years I have lived here, I have had minimal problems with the air conditioning and it has always worked well, which is a testament to the quality of materials and installation job that was originally done. I have also had this company install a gas hot water tank in the past and was very satisfied with the results. I have a boiler for heat, so duct work had been installed when the unit was first put in the home by the previous owner. Also, the air handler is in the attic, which is a much more difficult installation with added labor cost. We had the option of fixing the compressor or replacing the compressor and air handler with a seer 13 unit to make the entire unit more compatible and less likely to malfunction. The installers did a fine job on the installation and cleaned up after themselves. The owners of this company take pride in their work and care about the customer being satisfied. I would highly recommend this company to other members.

My initial contact with Don Green of D and G Heating and Cooling Co. to purchase a replacement hot water tank was by telephone. He was pleasant and helpful, answering my many questions. I contacted other contractors by phone and in person and settled on D and G for their time in business, the confidence the company radiated, and for my satisfaction in a replacement furnace they had previously installed in my home. The price I paid turned out to be the lowest I was quoted for a 40 gallon power vented hot water tank. The installer came on time and was pleasant to deal with. I was pleased with what I considered a professional installation in about two hours. He cleaned up and took the old tank. I am pleased with my new Bradford White Defender 40 gallon power vented hot water tank.
