It has been almost a full year now since the company installed new windows in the house. The job is still not complete. A marble window sill that was supposed to be replaced has not been replaced. There was a problem with the windows not being able to close because installation was done wrong. Some delays were not the companies fault, but the window sill not been replaced nearly a year later is absurd. The company signed a contract with me originally and then signed a new contract with my father, which was not appropriate. I am the only person with legal authority over the home. The only person authorized to sign a contract for work. The company was well aware of that. My father only indirectly funded the work. His funding is a loan. The wrong tile was ordered for the kitchen floor. The company overcharges for work and has a high markup on materials. The company has taken advantage of my dad trying to be a nice person. He made the mistake of paying the company despite not getting work completed.

The project went well. It took about a week with one carpenter working on the deck. It was also a very hot and humid week so this also impacted the timeframe. Also needed a different part for the railing, and had to order and wait a day or two to install. Company was very responsive to getting me the bid and answering my questions when making my decision on who to hire. My driveway now has a crack from the heavy equipment that dropped off the supplies. The Company agreed to address the crack when the weather cools.

They came, did the work and I didn't have to be there.

They were prompt with coming out for a quote, but it did take them a while to fit us in the schedule (there was a lot of damage in the county from the storm). The siding itself is seamless and looks great. However we also paid for them to match the paint to the other siding and the paint color is much darker than the rest of the siding which makes the repaired part stick out. I am disappointed with the color and wish they would have told us that we should just have that side of the house painted - instead of, let the sun fade the color.

The initial meeting was a no pressure discussion of my needs and the products available. Exteriors was not the lowest bid, but still was competitive. Based on my previous experience I went with this contractor. Basic measurements were taken along with a down payment. The custom windows would be ready in about three to four week. The window was ready as promised, and I was contacted to arrange the installation. This is where the third time proved not to be the charm. In the morning of the install, they called indicating that there was a problem with their truck, and we rescheduled for noon. Around noon they called again to reschedule for late afternoon. They finally arrived at about 3:30pm. They quickly set to work removing the old windows and started to install the new ones. This is when I noticed that the new windows were double pane, and not the triple pane originally ordered. I was informed that my only options were to have the double pane windows installed. I could then leave them as is, have them completely replaced with triple pane window assembly, or just replace some of the window panes. The new assemblies or sash would take another three to four week to order. I opted for the former. While the installers did a good job on the installation and the windows are similar to what I have on the rest of the house, I can’t say that this was a positive experience. Due to the scheduling delays, I was out a day of work. I also have windows that that are not what I ordered. Exteriors offered to take a couple of hundred off the price. I accepted. They also offered to give me a special deal on replacing my roof to compensate for the missed work. Given my recent experience and other roofing reviews, I declined that offer and went with another company.

It went great.??The person who replaced the sidings came when he said he would, he removed the two pieces of siding and installed the new ones. He cleaned up after himself, and the new siding was perfect, color of siding matched perfectly with the siding that has been on the house for a long time.

The work was well done. Keith was my worker and he was very polite. I checked on his work several times and he did not mind when I asked questions on the work being done. I would hire again .

6 months after they finished started leaking again. After a number of attempts of trying to patch it. Then they even built a little box to redirect water it stopped for a while. Months later started leaking again . Hired a other contractor that was recommended on Angie's List this time. It turns out it was leaking in the valley where two roof levels come together because of poor workmanship. Nowhere near where they where patching.

Years ago when my husband and I purchased this home we were DIY crazy. We did our best but we didn't always know the right way to do things. A water stain on the ceiling prompted a call for help and a quote. Within a couple of days the roof and attic had been checked out and we had a quote for the repairs, but more importantly the suggestion was made to improve the ventilation in the attic, redo the bathroom vents as well as increase the insulation in the attic. We really appreciated the overview of the additional items we could consider doing( but we weren't made to feel that we messed up years ago doing the DIY stuff). The crew came, got right to work, cleaned up the area at the end of each day and always kept my husband and I in the loop. They worked like a well oiled machine. The living room window was old and needed to be replaced.....but the new window had to be exactly the same because I loved the look. The old window style was no longer available and it didn't seem that the existing opening would accommodate the same style the way it would be made now. Tim did a lot of research and gave us lots of options....including expanding the opening so I could have exactly what I wanted. He took care of everything and when the window finally arrived it was so much fun to watch it being installed. It was like they had rehearsed this installation, everything was protected, all items in place, very little conversation needed and it was done!! My husband questioned the size of the trim they were using and they explained why......they were right and I enjoy my window everyday. My husband and I have reached the point where DIY projects aren't as appealing as they used to be, so it is very important to know that we can trust and rely on Exteriors of Lansing to keep our home in good repair.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the outcome. The house looks wonderful and the work is very high quality. The only thing I was not happy about is that they did not show up for the entire day if it rained at all even briefly. On a couple of days, I specifically remember that it rained in the morning for a few hours and was over well before noon, but the crew did not show up the entire day. Maybe it's not efficient to set up for only a half day of work. That's understandable, but it was not communicated to us. However, I would recommend them and I would use them again. The house is three stories (the attic is finished).

The work was done on time, looks good & works as expected. Salesperson and installers were very professional. Two small issues however. The salesperson wrote in our contract that they would repair/replace any damaged screens for life of the windows. When I called the receptionist said the salesperson had gotten carried away but they would replace the screen if I removed and brought it to them. It was pretty clear they did not want to honor that part of the agreement. Not a big deal because I replaced the screen myself in about 15 minutes. The other issue was that I have a 3 season room with sliding screen doors that don't work well. I asked them if they could fix them, for extra cost, they said they would. A representative was sent to my home and looked over the job. He took a screen door and I have not heard from him again in 6 months. I will pursue the screen door but follow through on non-standard items is a bit weak. I would do business with them again but would make certain to "lock-down" every detail.

He took a deposit from me on 2/2013 to do a roof. He did the back side. The estimate on one was 4265 and 3785 on the other. He did the back half and then gave me the estimate on the second half. The estimate went up. I asked if the estimate had gone up in two weeks and he said no. I told him I wanted it done first of June and he said the price would go up. He said if I brought the money up front he would do it in June. They broke the birdbath and the fence to the side of the house. They damaged the flowers in the front. He only replaced one board where it was leaking. He didn't replace all the boards. They did not do the part over the dining room. When I spoke to them in June I was told by the installer to go home and count the shingles I had and let them know if they had enough. I told them 13. They said they didn't have enough and they would have to order another case. That was the last conversation I had with them. 8/6 I called with water dripping upstairs after rain. They sent a guy out who took pictures, went outside onto the roof and told me everything was taken care of. It rained again and more water came in. He told me the owner felt it was the chimney and he wasn't going to do anything about it. I ended up purchasing a $1200 chimney 8/21. I contacted them again and told them they never finished the part over the dining room. They said "they're not in a hurry, they'll get to it when they get to it." We had a storm in December and water came through the ceiling again after the new chimney was put in. I filed a complaint with licensing and regulations and they have not heard anything back from them. A builder inspector came out and found: the roof over the dining room had not been completed, roof near chimney is buckling, the owner had the chimney repaired and reflashed prior to inspection, hallway ceiling is cracked apparently from water around the chimney, water coming onto porch board-to be replaced, it is evident that water has entered into the area of the porch for an extended period of time-an inspection as required during construction would have revealed this, did not resheath roof-observed from attic, never obtained building permit, no inspection made for the insulation of the roof as required by law. As of 9/16/14 I was advised from the dept of license and regulations that I had not gotten a response from Mr. Booth and that I maybe should file this with the BBB and pursue other avenues of complaint. He has been notified of this paperwork at least as of February. During discovery I found out I had another situation with him in the past with my car in his auto body shop. He wrote me a check for the damage to the car. It bounced and he then changed the name of his company.

No pressure sales presentation by Kaycee with a no gimmick price quote. Other contractors gave inflated quotes and then discounted then thousands to put a "sign" in your yard. They then continued to offer discounts as long as you showed resistance. Their prices were as much as 3 times that of Exteriors of Lansing. They were the only bidder who gave us pages of references from previous jobs. The quote did NOT contain upcharges for hauling away the old windows, a charge for a dumpster, and etc. Their charges were itemized, reasonable, and understandable. All-in-all a pleasant experience. BTW I first met them at the Home Show at the MSU Pavilion. We were scheduled for installation on a Thursday but received a call on Tu. asking to reschedule for the following Mon. The two man crew arrived on Monday and completed the job in a single day. It included all new window trim and window sills on the interior as well as new windows. The crew was experienced, polite, professional, and did a quality job. They cleaned up after the job was over too. Overall excellent experience with Exteriors of Lansing. I highly recommend them. I contacted them via email. They called me and told me it would be between $5,000 - 6,000 for the one window without looking at the window first. I told him I wasn't interested in that pricing and he did not come out.

The guy from Exteriors Of Lansing who came out was very nice and professional. Their price was fair and it the work was with a warranty.

It went very well. Casey was our salesperson. She is a very friendly person. She also was not pushy, like other salespeople that gave us quotes. The only delay that we saw was that it took 5 - 6 weeks to get the siding and windows delivered to our house but once the materials arrived, the installers showed up within a day or so. The installers did a fabulous job! Our home is very old (built in 1880) and had rotting wood siding. They replaced the rotted wood and built out walls as necessary to secure the new siding to the house. There is an enclosed porch that was added in the 70s that had windows that were not square. The installers worked past these obstacles and were able to make the house look brand new. The only problem we had was they covered an access door to the enclosed porch that we had open to get to our dryer vent pipe. We were not asked if we wanted the door covered. They did offer to cut the door back open for us but we decided to leave it as is since we have never had to access the pipe in the 23 years that we have been at the house. Overall we are very happy with the job this company did. One of our neighbors is a retired sider and watched them do most of the job. He said they did a very professional job.

They're great. The whole crew is great. I've used them before. Anytime I had a question or concern, I never had a problem reaching anyone. Even Tim the president looked over things personally to make sure I was satisfied.

They did the work they promised to do. They were on time and punctual. If there were any problems they fixed them quickly. They also corrected any problems I saw with the work quickly.

Exterios responded very promptly to my inquiry and K.C. came and gave us an estimate a day later. The estimate was higher than another company, but I wanted to work with Exterios and they price matched it for me. The work was scheduled for 2-3 weeks after that. It took longer than that to start, but K.C. kept me updated on the schedule and once we agreed on the date, the Exterios were on time. Our house has a lot of unusual angles, thus it was a challenge to do the sidings well. Al and his team did a great job with all of our angles. We had several palces we did not like, K.C. and Jim were very responsive to our requests and fixed everything we asked for. It was pelasure working with Exterios and the house looks great!

I called for an estimate and Casey was very prompt about scheduling an appointment. When she arrived she asked a few questions and within an hour had written up the proposed work. She gave us references and examples of other work in the area so that we could compare. Everything took about six weeks for delivery. After delivery there was confusion about when work would be completed which end up taking two weeks. Once work began progress moved very quickly. The work crew was subcontracted and there were some mis-communications about the amount of time required for installation because of the shape of my house. Overall, it took about a week and a half off and on to get the work completed. I did need to call the construction manager a few times to have some areas of the installation fixed because it did not meet my quality standards. They revisited and completed the work to my satisfaction.

I had a couple of other bids and they were able to bargain with me to get to a reasonable price. They did a beautiful job. They are very strong, nice windows. They were very fast with their service.

They were professional and polite and I thought they were good. They prices were reasonable and I would use them again if I had to.

I was sent a team of two inexperienced workers who broke one of the windows completely, had no idea how to rebrace the deck as Mr. Booth had described to me, simply hammered down roof shingles, and tried to finish all the work in a matter of a few hours (no regard for quality). I will note that they did good with the door latch (fixing a screw/cost me $25), the work on the bathroom linolum (I had to supply the materials), and the home siding (got good color match, but purcahsed more than I needed and would not reduce the cost estimate). I called Exteriors of Lansing to get the work redone and was sent another worker (Jim who was much better - but who offered me discounts on buying new windows for the projects that weren't done well.) Overall the projects were definitely over priced for the hassle, quality, and I would not hire them again nore recommend them to another customer.

I had the estimator come out and look our house over. On the phone they said Air-Krete was a 5.1R per inch at $3 dollars a square foot. When they arrive they said it was 5.5R per inch and $3.39 a square foot. The estimate came in at close to 10,000 for our house I got curious and looked up Air-Krete on there website it states 3.9R value when I asked Exteriors about this they said they had run independent test and that was there findings!! So I asked which was 5.1R or 5.5R they said it was in that range. WHAT! They are very contradictory which there explanations. We ended up finding a insulation company with way better service and all of the proper records from federal testing as well as numbers of customers to call if we wanted who swear by there services. The total for the new company was $4000 for our whole house.
