We didn't have a water softener and they were great to help us with the best one.

Salesman Ben is great. They give you a discount if you schedule when it is convenient for them. The installer was a bit rude and scratched our floors and front porch by dragging the heavy unit around. The unit itself seems to be functioning fine but is much louder than our old unit. It is louder than the dishwasher and it is all the way down in the basement. Not sure if that is to be expected, but it is only periodic so I can live with it. Recharge happens in the middle of the night so no issues with that. Overall, it was a mixed experience. I would like a quieter unit and wish that greater care had been taken when moving the unit through the house to prevent damage to the floors. It is the first time I have had a new softener installed by someone else, so it has been a learning experience for me. 

Ben the sales mgr and the young man that installed our system were very knowledgeable and professional. Answered all our question,s and did not try to push us into a sell. A very nice experience.

I would highly recommend them! They were professional, knowledgeable and installed our new system and removed our old water softener in less than an hour. They took the time to show us how to make the very few adjustments ( set the clock, etc)we may need to make in case of a power failure. The system is maintenance free - just need to add salt! Very pleasant to work with!

I was very pleased with the work performed. The company did not try and up-sale me products I did not need or that were more expensive and explained why the system I was looking to purchase would be the appropriate system for my home. I would recommend them to anyone.

The installation was rushed and ended up taking shortcuts and mistakes cutting out copper pipe and replacing it with pex. Sloppy and hurried job with water spilled on the floor and the drain tube poorly installed into the drain.

I can actually drink the tap for the first time in the 20 years I've been her, and showers are so much nicer with the softened water. Very happy!

This is so important for me to mention: NO SALES PRESSURE. When I called 1st Choice Water Solutions, it was after hours, and I got an answering machine, and left a message. Donâ t laugh, but I was truly relieved that I didnâ t get a 24/7 call center in some other part of the world that wasnâ t asleep yet!! My hunch was right when I actually received a call and talked to a real person, and not a call center. In our case, when in the process of purchasing a new house, during our home inspection, we discovered that our arsenic levels were 75.5 part per billion (ppb), The EPA/FDA set the maximum limit at 10 ppb. These numbers were so high that the previous home owners were immediately contacted and provided with the test results to seek testing for Arsenic Poisoning. Because I was aware of these numbers going into my search to remove Arsenic, I was fielding seemingly hundreds of sales calls, from companies trying to sell me every kind of water system under the sun. Darn downside of otherwise awesome search engines! Ist Choice Water Solutions talked with me about an Arsenic filter. Also about the amount of arsenic recorded on the home inspection, and the different sizes of tanks, and it was quite simple to figure out which size tank was required for the number of ppb in our water. BONUS: They were able to install the unit along side an existing water softener and on the first day we took possession of our new home. While 1st Choice Water Solutions was here installing the Arsenic Filter, I noticed that our toilet was running, I pulled off the cover to the tank, looked in, and in went my glassesâ ¦ bigger problem was that the tank water was so thick and gray, with bacteria floating around the flushing mechanisms, that I couldnâ t even see my glasses! I called Ben into the bathroom, and after tests were run, and I myself noticed a few more things that I asked about on the existing softener tank, it was confirmed that the water softener tank was a cesspool of bacteria, no longer working properly and on itâ s very last leg, to the point that there was no fixing it. Again, numbers, testing, common sense. It was driven by findings and the independent testing done during our home inspection, and confirmed (for free by the way) by the QA Water Specialist at 1st Choice Water Solutions. I trust 1st Choice Water Solutions to provide me and my family with what we need at a fair price and were there when we needed them. I have had three appointments scheduled and each have been on-time, quick and tidy, without a problem after. My reverse osmosis system was installed and they even thought ahead to include a matching fixture to my kitchen sink nozzle. Itâ s the little things like that, that really add up, and have helped me check off the boxes, big and small! This is a local, top notch family run business that seems to treat their employees (even those that arenâ t actually family members), like family too. I learned that Ben has been with them for 32 or 33 years! A huge plus is that they have kept up with technology as well! I have been signed up to receive reminders of when my filters should be checked, when I should check on salt levels in my water softener. 1st Choice Water Solutions has won our business and will be my on-going first call! No more unwanted sales calls!

Everyone I dealt with in this company was professional, courteous and conscientious of my time. They also were the only contractor who provided a solution that would fit in my utility area. I work extensively with contractors in my professional life and I always evaluate them on these three tenets: price, quality and customer service.
