Description of Work: They did not complete the job, or return phone calls. Basically just took my money.

Description of Work: I originally left this review under the Livonia location, wanted to put it here because I believe we received our service from the Kalamazoo location. We had a big leak under the basement stairs in the front of the house and a couple of small leaks in rod holes in the back of the house. The company used their Bentonite system 2 times on the outside of the house without much improvement in the stairs leak, so they installed the drain tile system there (no additional charge, covered by their warranty.) This still didn't fix the leak, so hey had to go into the wall to discover holes behind the basement stairs. They filled them and no more leak! They also filled the rod holes in the back which were not part of the initial estimate at no charge. I give Great Lakes high ratings because they honored their warranty and kept coming back until our problem was solved. Their employees, especially Josh, were excellent!

Description of Work: We had a few issues but the bottom line is that I think that it worked for water proofing our 100+ year old house basement though we're still waiting for some big rains to really see if that's the case. Our hose bib got bent and no one mentioned it (they did offer to pay to get it fixed), blobs of clay were left over on top of the soil (they did come back and clean it up after a call), they didn't put cement cove along all the areas we thought they were, basement windows were splattered with the stuff, left over clay in the driveway, used our hose (with a brand new sprayer not now though). Nice guys but just a little careless especially when considering the top dollar we paid. For that kind of money ($6,500) for about 5 hours of work we really did expect near perfection and to be extremely professional. Oh well, no one else does this type of waterproofing in our area so there's no choice or competition.

Description of Work: We purchased our house from someone who had hired them initially. So we are a license transfer of warranty. We had them come out to our house twice to service some water issues and they very prompt, courteous and did an excellent job. It's been around three years now and all is dry..

Description of Work: Warranty work- An area around the front of my house had slight water seepage from the recent heavy snow then quick thaw without the benefit of ground freeze. This area had been treated last year in August. The district Supervisor was the Technical expert who evaluated the situation and did the work. The work consisted of more waterproofing material inject along the basement wall at no cost. The supervisor was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in explaining what he was doing and what had happened. Overall, I/we are extremely satisfied with the Great Lakes Waterproofing and the product. What is also very impressive is the lifetime transferable warranty and the willingness of the supervisor to explain everything in detail and reinforce that fact that sometimes the product must be applied two or more times, And, that he/they are very willing to come back when and if the need arises.

Description of Work: They repaired a crack in my basement wall. They, however, had to do it twice. But they did it without any hesitation and I do have a lifetime guarantee and it is transferable when I sell the house. I'm satisfied with their work.

Description of Work: They waterproofed the leaking wall on the inside and injected a diatomatious earth on the outside wall to prevent migration of water back to the cracked wall.

Description of Work: Had a 20 ft section of our basement wall treated with the bentonite. Won't really know how well it works until we have some significant rainfall. It was rather pricey but if it works it will be worth it. They were here for about an hour and a half.

Their process involved shooting a clay-like substance into the soil around the perimeter of our home. This clay-like substance was supposed to fill the crack and stop the leak. It did not work. We called them a second time, they returned and did the same thing again. It did not work.
