Remodeling Pros Inc.

A part of the work was covered by our Home Owner's insurance. When the contractor from the insurance company came out, he said the job was too small for him to do at that time. He brought Jason from Remodeling Pro's, Inc. with him. Jason quoted the job March 27, 2013. We tried to get competative bids both before and immediately after March 27 and were unable to get anyone to come quote the project in a timely manner. We looked on Angie's List anf found Remodeiling Pro's listed; with one review for a hardwood floor installation. It was highly favorable so we decided to take a chance. We notified Jason that we wanted him to start the job on April 8, 2013 as per his quote. It was with the understanding if we paid up front he could do the lower bathroom in 2 weeks and the upper bathroom in an additional 2 weeks. Originally we wanted to have the downstairs completed then decide if we wanted them (or any contractor) to do the upstairs. Jason insisted he would not do the lower bathroom unless he could also do the upper. He also wanted 50% of the money for the upper bathroom to order materials at the same time. We later learned he did not order the material in advance. Jason and a full crew started on time working for 2 days then disappeared for days on end with no phone calls. When we would call him, he did not get return calls. When we left upset messages, he would stop by and accuse us of being "un-Christian" and un-reasonable. Sometimes his crew would come to our home for an hour then leave to do a re-modeling job of a Pool Hall and Bar in Brighton. Sometimes they would come for an hour, do very little then leave because Jason did not show up with material or supplies This went on for weeks. The project was begun on April 8 and despite many broken promises, was not finished until July 3. This July 3 completion was accomplished because of an agreement we finally had with Jason in the last couple of weeks of the project that ONE of his workers would come to our home every OTHER day until the job was complete. This worker did good work, was good to get along with, kept his promises and showed up when expected. My wife had a broken leg at the time. Having the bathroom torn up and having construction materials about were not only stressful (as most re-modeling projects are) but also very dangerous for her. Due to the uncertainty of the work schedule, I had to stay every week day for almost 3 months.

The floor is great! They did an excellent job. They were very professional and very honest. We would definitely work with them again. Response time was excellent. Very easy to talk to and work with. We would highly recommend them!
