A nightmare. Large areas of the drive almost immediately started breaking up, but were told that this is 'normal. Contacted them no fewer than 5 times over the last year with several assurances that they would get right back to us - nada - until I contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I asked - repeatedly - for someone to call me when they would come out so that I could show them huge swathes of the drive that were completely breaking down (see attached photo). Of course, no one called me, and after I contacted the BBB, I was informed that someone did come out and that all is well and we will 'enjoy' many years of use. Well, take a gander of this pic - which they said looks fine- portions 1/4 to 1/2 inch of asphalt have already broken away despite being resurfaced twice. We have had multiple contractors doing repairs at our house and all have asked "who did your driveway?' - and not from an admiring perspective. This has been a complete nightmare and we are now looking for someone to resurface the drive. Buyers beware...

I would give them A's across the board on everything. The price was very competitive with everybody else.

The driveway was cracking after less than a year and she was unhappy about that. The driveway started showing signs of cracking along the edges. We just had a guy come look at it yesterday. You are not suppose to take the asphalt all the way to the end of the base for the whip. You want the base to extend. Both our neighbor and I had had the driveways done at the same time and she had like sinking problems in the center first and big crack where water can get in and then pull the base material away and ruin the driveway. I think it was a reasonable quote. I know they came in low for a quote. They used less materials, so if you want to learn a little bit about driveway they can educate you. I don't think they were like drastically lower than anyone, but they have competitive rates because they have a smaller crew, so normally it takes 6 for a paving crew and they have 4. They cut cost there and then with the lack of asphalt, so if you want your driveway to last you will want 4 inches; here they only put two. We tried to get them out here and basically we had them, two recipients of the driveway and two customers and then the other company and then the asphalt guy basically making sure the materials were solid. They came over and they wouldn't even allow the home owners, the customers to talk to the asphalt guy because he was still pissed off and offended. They made my mom and my neighbors stay inside their home.

They did a very nice job. They did both mine and my neighbors. They were top notch.  They were extremely efficient and worked hard. They even took off an old basketball goal and took that away. Their crews really knew what they were doing. They were very cordial. It was a very good experience.

Total frustration - seldom returning phone calls - never setting a date to perform the services - job still not completed after 5 months.  I would not recommend D&H Asphalt to anyone.

Looked okay at first.  There was a large seam down the middle of the driveway.  I noted this and expressed concern for potential cracks only to have the guy brush it off as 'normal'.  Then the driveway started to deteriorate at a much faster pace than is 'normal' for residential traffic.  The driveway has many, many pock marks from where the small stones that make up the asphalt have come loose.  Three years later, the seam I noted turned into an enormous 150 foot long crack splitting up my driveway.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WE HAVE MAINTAINED THIS DRIVEWAY IMPECCABLY.  I mean sealcoating (with D&H) every other year, making sure the edges are backfilled, etc.  Yet, I'm sitting here with a driveway loaded with cracks and divots.  We called D&H and after coming out, the employees decided their boss needed to see this.  So after making time for another appointment the guy literally tells me "Look, I'm not going to go redo this driveway."  I wasn't even asking for that--just a solution so I wouldn't have this ugly driveway on my hands.  Finally after much negotiating he said he'll fill the crack (that penetrates the depth of the whole driveway) for free if I go with him to sealcoat the driveway again.

I thought this just might be a poor job done on our house, but D&H did a good part of the driveways in our subdivision and sure enough, almost everybody's driveway shows similar results.

Go with someone (ANYONE) else.  These guys cut corners like nobody's business.  The quality is subpar at best.

I needed approximately 1400 sq ft of paving done to complete the approach to a newly constructed garage. I contacted D&H and Ken Bullion promptly came out and gave me an estimate. Once I determined to use his company, they were out within a couple of days . They put in the base the first day and paved on the second day. The job was done well and the area left very clean with no mess for me to clean up. Overall a great experience

When they did the original job, they did most of it during the hours of darkness. That caused me concern about the work, but they assured me that that would not be a problem.

They were very courteous and professional. Considering the size of the job, these guys really got the work finished very quickly. The price was slightly higher than expected but the work was OK. I did think it could have been done a little better.
