Description of Work: There was a little miscommunication as to the date and time that the service was to be provided (gas fireplace cleaning/inspection)but it worked out OK, and I am pleased with the job that was done.

Description of Work: Steven, the owner, did a great job, cleaned and tested everything. He took the time to explain how the gas logs work and listed everything he checked out. He was very thorough and left everything neat and clean. I would highly recommend him.

Description of Work: 2-people came to my house to do maintenance of my gas fireplace. They did not have the tools they needed, made a mess and left my home without putting the fireplace back together! They promised that their other partner will come back with a thermostat to put the fireplace back together. The guy stopped by and could not get my gas fireplace which was working well before (only needed cleaning). Charged me $80 for a thermocouple the is $19 on eBay. Left without restoring the unit to operational status! My son-in-law is a Detroit Police Capitan and he told me these guys are scammers!

Description of Work: Don't hesitate to use this company. My experience with Chris (who did the work) couldn't have gone better. Good communication, punctual, hard working, polite, and he didn't leave a speck of ash in my home. I highly recommend Chris should you require chimney cleaning.

Description of Work: Dean was amazing! He came out to do a dryer vent cleaning and also an estimate on replacing/rerouting our vent. He also came back to do the additional work and was great. He explained everything and why it was needed, answering any questions I had. The work was done well and just as discussed. Ashley in the office was not as amazing as Dean. Our initial scheduled time was wrong and then there was a scheduling issue for the second part of the job. Overall, I would use them again, especially if I had Dean come out. Great job!

Description of Work: Inspection and cleaning of fireplace. They added a chimney cap. The rep raved about this particular cap being far superior to anything at Home Depot or Lowes. We went with his advice. In retrospect, I could have saved a lot of cash compared to a cap found at the aforementioned, which was essentially the same thing. Given the initial cost was low, I don't feel too much of a loss. Do research ahead of time.

Description of Work: He was very knowledgeable and performed very well. My only complaint was he charged more and I don't see any difference in my fireplace and what was covered by the coupon that I paid for. Almost all of the service providers for Angie's list charge more when they get to my home. Taking into consideration that I have a very large home, sometimes we get charged more just because of where we live.

Description of Work: The guy was very professional, explained what he was doing and answered any questions we had and did a thorough job cleaning up after the job was done. We were very satisfied.

Description of Work: On the day of the service, the lady called to tell me that he is delayed and will not be showing up. Literally -- 30 min before he was supposed to show up. Then I was promised he would show up first thing in the AM the next monday - July 6th. I never heard a peep from these guys since that time. I finally asked for my money back and they basically said -- "Sorry, you are out of our hands now. Go deal with Angie's List!" Did not even try to retain me or make amends in any way. Business must be good when they can basically ignore customers!

Description of Work: I scheduled this appt a month ago (thru an Angies List special offer) -- I took a day off work to be here --- I was given a 9a -1p window. I received no reminder call; no contact at all. On the scheduled day, I called to ask if the time could be narrowed down at all so I could run to the market. Ashley told me the service person would likely be closer to 1p. I asked if I had time to run a quick errand , if I could be home by 10:30a. She said 'most likely' & took my cell phone number. (Clearly she had some idea of a tighter window of time!) At 1250p I called to see what was going on & to express my extreme displeasure at having wasted most of a day off! Ashley said she would call the service person & see what his ETA was. At 1:15p the service person called & said he was running late(!), & when asked said he would not even be here for another 45 minutes. I told him not to bother. I called Ashley & told her I would be calling Angies List to get my money back & would certainly not use them in future. Ashley di not offer to do anything to compensate me, except to re-schedule -- which meant I'd have to take another day off! I find this totally unacceptable -- from the lack of contact (at several opportunities); to the wide time frame; to the lack of compensation. This experience makes me wonder about companies that offer their services as these 'specials'. While I was very happy with the locksmith, I will be much more leery in future.
