Description of Work: Painted all my cabinets in my Kitchen

Description of Work: I set up appointment with John Knoppe to come out for an estimate on kitchen cabinet resurfacing. The time came and went, no John Knoppe. I called 30 minutes later to see if he was coming and he stated "oh, ah yeah, I'll be there in 30 minutes". [ he obviously forgot, but gave another excuse.] I said, well you would think you would've called to tell me your going to be an hour late. He responded by saying, "I can see your upset, why don't we just forget it." I said, yeah, we'll forget it alright. I'm just glad he didn't start the project. Fortunate.

Description of Work: He refinished our kitchen, laundry room and bathroom cabinets. He did a great job for us. He is very responsive, punctual and reliable and we would definitely recommend him. In fact, after he did our cabinets, my parents hired him to do theirs. For us, he did a complete color change and for my parents he matched their existing cabinet color perfectly.

Description of Work: We hired Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing to paint our kitchen cabinets. We recently purchased a home that had dark brown cabinets that were structurally sound, but not a color (brown) that we were happy with. We wanted to paint the cabinets white to "refresh" them and significantly brighten the kitchen which doesn't get a lot of natural light. I contacted Jon Knoppe through Angie's List and received a very prompt response to my request for an estimate. We scheduled the work to begin in mid-December. Jon and his team arrived at the scheduled time and cleaned the cabinets as well as removed the doors and drawer fronts which were taken to an offsite location to be painted. In early January, Jon contacted me to schedule the remainder of the work which included painting the cabinets and then reinstalling the doors and drawer fronts. The onsite portion of the work took about 3 days. There's a lot of labor involved with taping off/masking the counters and other surfaces that are not being painted. This allows the contents of the cabinets/drawers to remain intact throughout the process and saves the time and inconvenience of emptying everything from the cabinets. They did an excellent job in this regard, protecting the contents of the cabinets/drawers from the paint Concurrent with the cabinet refinish, we replaced the old counter tops with granite and installed a new sink, faucet, cook top, etc. so we have now have a kitchen that looks very close to "new" for a fraction of the cost of replacing or refacing the cabinets. Jon and his team are great to work with . . . very polite, punctual, professional, etc. We plan to use the company again soon to paint the kitchen walls and possibly some other rooms in our home. This was a great experience and results overall and we would highly recommend Knoppe Cabinet Refinishing.

Description of Work: The Cabinets look AWESOME! Such an update to our kitchen and worth every penny. He did a great job and they look like brand new cabinets! |My only recommendation would be to remove all items from the cupboards/kitchen. There is a heavy dust and even some paint on some of the items in the cupboards and it was a lot of work cleaning it after so if you use the service remove all items from kitchen prior. But overall extremely happy with the results!

Description of Work: Called for a quote on painting my builders oak cabinets painted off white (same as my trim), and they came the very next day. After explaining the process and thoroughness they use for the job, I will be calling within the week to schedule getting the job done. I feel completely confident in using them for the job based on the unique process they use for completing a quality job. Quote seemed fair, so we're excited to get the job done.
