Al's Water Heater Sales & Service

My experience was just fine. They had forgotten about me so I had to call him to get something scheduled and he was accommodating to my schedule. I gave him a lot of notice. There was one technician here doing the work and it took less than an hour to complete the work.

He was there on time and did the work quickly and answered all of my questions. I am very happy with this service and would definitely use them again.

These guy were GREAT! Very honest and upfront. Quick, Efficient and funny. Very great service. Would use them again...(hopefully not soon;-) )

He came over for the appointment, he did his job, and he left. I didn't even need his service, because he was flushing out my radiator, but there was nothing to flush out. I didn't have any problems with him, it was fine. He performed the duties that I requested. The price was very reasonable.

We were having trouble with getting enough hot water and he took care of it.

I've never had anyone perform a water heater flush before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Things went well as far as I could tell, although I am not sure they completed every task outlined in the offer. The two gentlemen were on time and very pleasant.

Arrived as scheduled. Even called in advance. Promptly performed service and freely answered questions. Gave helpful tips on how to assess potential problems with water heater. Was highly professional and courteous throughout.

I thought my water heater had broke. I wasn't getting any hot water at all. I found this company on Angie's list. I called at 8:00am and assumed since New Years was the day before, I may have to wait a few days for service. I was told the serviceman would be at my home at 10:30am that day. He showed up on time in the middle of a snowstorm and the roads were a mess. He was great and very helpful and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Al's water heater and will call them in the future.

Problem solved re a water heating/cooling issue, and checked water heater.

They drained and flushed the hot water heater.

I called Al's after I kept hearing popping noises in the water heater (looked it up online and it was probably due to sediment in the tank and all i would need is for it to be drained). We needed a new one anyways, so i called them up and talked to Ryan and he gave me a price over the phone. I wasn't sure about it, since i assumed u would need to look at it first. He assured me the price shouldn't change unless it wasn't up to code. I wanted to still look around and he gave me all the info for me to look up online about the water heater that he quoted me for. I told him I would call him back and let him know. After researching the water heater he quoted me, I decided to hire them. Carl and Adam(I think) arrived the next day and installed it. it didn't take long at all. The only issue i experienced was that the hot water was brown when i turned it on after they left and it took about 3 hours until it was clear. No big deal... HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK!!!! WILL BE CALLING THEM AGAIN FOR ANY NEEDS IN THE FUTURE.... Carl also fixed a leaking humidifier valve for me at no charge since it was a simple fix(i'm not very handy). VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!! They also told me to drain the tank once a year. (he showed me, but again i'm not handy so i rather pay them to come back and drain it for me) THANKS AGAIN!!!

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out well. They did not charge me anything more than the big deal purchase. He was good. The price was good.

Contacted me immediately after purchase of "The Big Deal" to schedule the service. The technicians called to let me know they were running behind. They performed the service quickly and answered some questions for me.

We had recently bought a new (to us) house with an almost new water heater (2012). After a very windy Saturday evening, the water heater shut down and would not restart despite numerous attempts on our part. By Monday the novelly of no hot water was wearing thin and we called Al's. They were very busy but got Al out of retirement to come and look at the water heater. He quickly diagnosed that the main gas valve was bad and told us that it was an expensive part but we could contact Wirlpool to get the part free. He patiently waited while we went through the phone menus and delays to talk to someone at Wirlpool and convinced them that they needed to send out a new part. A caution about the Wirlpool warranty is that it only covers the part, not labor or even shipping of the the part, but that is a different issue. After the part arrived the next day, they came and quickly installed the part and flushed the water heater, charging us only for the service call to install the part. This fixed the problem and kept my wife from going to work looking like a homeless person. Thanks to Al's.

They were very quick. From the time I called to the water heater totally installed couldn't have been more than 4 hours.

They were prompt, looked over the water heater and checked all mechanical parts. Gave me information about caring for the water heater after draining some of the water to clean out any sediment. Advised me about how high the water temperature should be. Reassured me that the water heater is working well and is a good model. I will call them in the future if I need service.

Great. I purchased a big deal to have my water heater flushed for the first time. It took about 15 minutes and gave me some peace of mind on the condition of my water heater. They were able to answer all of my questions and took the time to follow up on a question they did not have an immediate answer for.

The technician was fast, friendly and informative. He arrived on time with a pre arrival phone call when he was about 10 minutes out. Upon his arrival he visually inspect the water heater, commenting about its condition. He then proceeded to drain approximately a quart of water into a bucket and visually inspected this water sample for sediment. He commented that he could tell how much and what type of sediment the water heater contained by this visual inspection. He then drained a larger amount of water from the water heater into the sum pump well. As he performed the tasks of flushing the water heater, he gave advice regarding future maintenance of the water heater. While paying someone to do this rather simple function may seem a waste of money, it gave me a professional opinion about the condition of my water heater and a demonstration of how to flush my water heater in the future.
