Al was very courteous and thoughtful in performing the water heater checkup. There was some confusion initially regarding the scheduled appointment, but he was very responsive and completed what was expected. He even returned later to provide a written receipt of the work performed. I also appreciated the ease of scheduling up-front, being contacted directly after I had purchased the Big Deal.

This morning my hot water heater busted a huge leak and had to be completely replaced. I had to turn my water off due to the leak. Al took my call and was at my house to assess the issue within a couple hours. He was able to turn the water back on and drain the tank immediately. I had to leave my house by 4:30pm and he managed to get his team here a couple hours after that and the hot water heater was fully replaced in an hour and a half and 45 minutes later I had hot water again. I cannot thank him and his team enough for their quick response and great work ethic. I would highly recommend Al to anyone needing assistance with their hot water heater/tank.

Al himself came the house, was very nice, very honest. Said my water heater was in surprisingly great shape for being 12 years old. Nice and courteous service.

The process went much better than I had anticipated. Al arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. The cover of my floor drain in the basement was too tight, and he had to spend a few minutes working around the seal to loosen it enough to gain access to the drain. Due to the years of build-up in the drain, he also had to use a plunger initially to keep it from overflowing too much. Once the flushing was complete, Al wiped all the remaining water from around the drain, then checked the pilot light and indicated everything looked good. He gave me information about the age of my unit and what would be needed when it came time to replace it, and answered all my questions. I was very pleased with the work he did, and the information he provided. I will certainly give him a call if I have any repair issues, or when it is time to replace the unit.

He had to special order the water heater. It went very well! He was excellent!

UPDATE: After the initial no-call no-show (and no attempt to contact) I agreed to give them a second chance based on a contractor friend in the area. This time they arrived on time (a little early actually) for the consultation. Work was performed the next day by two professional workers. I am pleased with the service and would use them again if the need arose. ---------------------------------------------------- Called and made an appointment. No call-no show for the agreed upon time. He then calls at 8:30pm (a full 4 hours after the agreed upon meeting time) and leaves a voice mail trying to get me to agree to have them come out the next day to replace my water heater - Without looking at my existing water heater, without going over options or providing an estimate for work to be preformed. Never acknowledged missing the appointment or gave a reason that I wasn't notified the appointment would be missed. Stuff happens all the time on site, but with cell phones on both sides a quick "Something came up, can't make it" goes a long way.

We called Al's when our water heater stopped heating the water. Al came out within a hour on a Saturday to take a look at it. He advised it was time to replace it and said he could do it Monday. We scheduled for Tuesday due to our schedule. After Al came out we relized that this repair my be covered by our home warranty. Al and his guys (I believe his name was Carl) made a few phone calls to our home waranty company to help us get reimbursed. It was a few extra hoops they had to jump through but they were more then happy to do it for us. They showed up on time (Carl called and asked if he could come a little early cause he was done with another job early which we were happy to have them early). There were a few complications due to some equipment on our end (an outdoor wood furnace hookup that used to heat the hot water. We wanted it disconnected because we don't use it) and they had no issues working around that for us. The place was clean after they left. The heater works great. We are very very happy with Al, Carl and the other guy that was here. If you need work done then look no further then Al's!

I called Al's and explained my problem. The pilot on my hot water heater kept going out. I could relight it, it would heat a tank of water, then the pilot would be out again. Al asked me a bunch of questions regarding the age, type, and make of it and wanted to know if I'd be at the house THAT day. He was going to squeeze me in, even though he was already busy! I insisted that I was an expert at relighting the pilot now, so the next day was fine. He scheduled me for 1PM and said he'd give a call prior to heading to my house. He called, got the serial number and model number to make sure he had the appropriate parts on hand, then came over. He quickly replaced the thermocoupler and tested a few times to make sure the pilot stayed on. Sure enough, it was fixed! I asked him some questions on pricing for new water heaters, given mine was about 13 years old and he was able to tell me the pricing for different options. He knows his stuff and I know I'll be using Al's in the future for any of my water heater needs.

Great service. I signed up to have my water heater inspected and drained on Friday and Al called on Monday and came on Tuesday. AL is very pleasant on the phone and in person. He was right on time. He showed me what he was doing. He finished in about 30 minutes. He did not try to sell me anything. Al did a great job.

It's nice to find a company that says what they will do and then deliver exactly as stated; all in a very professional and courteous way. If you have water heater problems, give Al a call and you won't disappointed

They were fine. It did take a little bit of time to schedule the appointment.

Arrived on time the same day I called. Cleaned and tinkered with the water heater, and like magic I had hot water again! The service man was very nice and explained what he did.

He did not check to see that either of the water heaters were working. In fact the larger tank had a frozen blower motor that was not allowing the flame to be lit. I finally called another company who replaced the larger water heater.

My hot water heater was leaking. Went to Angie's list to search for a service provider in the area.....and I called Al's. He answered right away, asked a few questions, and then found a way to fit me in the very same day. They were a wee bit late arriving due to another customer emergency but had called to let me know so it was no big deal. They assessed the condition of the existing unit, determined it did in fact need replacing, and had a new one installed within the hour. They protected my floors with drop cloths and not one drop of water was left behind when they were finished. Very professional people doing a very professional job. I would recommend them to others and use them again without hesitation.

Was fast and checked water heater looked at sediment that came out, Checked burner, and gave us a card so we could contact in the future. Took about 20 minutes total in house.

Working well now. They were prompt, professional and patiently answered all questions. Trifle pricey for what they did, but I was impressed by their professionalism.

The crew was very courteous and scheduling was easy. My water heater checked out just fine so not much was needed in terms of flushing. They gave me tips on its maintenance.

It was terrific and I was very happy with them. They got the job done in about an hour and a half. The scheduling was very easy. They sent one person out to do the job.

There were no troubles with scheduling and he was able to come out the next day. The technician was nice. He completed the job quickly and told us that everything was fine. Myexperience was fine.

A few days after purchasing the Big Deal, we received a call to get preliminary information about what we were looking for, address, etc. A few days after that, the technician called to set up an appointment, but also said he was in the area, and if it was convenient for us, they could stop by and perform the service that day. We were able to make it happen, so they stopped by and performed the services, which took about 15 minutes. Our water heater is about five years old, so it didn't have a ton of sediment. However, we had some mineral buildup on top of the water heater due to a leak. However, Al's technicians told us it was previously fixed, so it shouldn't cause us more problems, but that we should periodically check for moisture, just in case. Overall, we were happy with their services and communication. We'd use them again for other issues.
