Glenn was referred to my wife for this tree job by a co-worker who occasionally works with him on the weekends. After an original price of $4250.00 on 4/1/13, he called a couple of months later with the price of $2900.00 as he had an open day on Fri. 6//14. Glenn came out with his crew that Friday morning. My wife and I were not home as we had family business to tend to. We didn't get home until 2:30pm or so. Glenn had quite a large crew (6 to 8 guys) and some heavy duty equipment (bucket truck, monster chipper/shredder stump grinder etc) that he borrows from Spears Tree Service for tree jobs. Everyone was really working their tails off, and knew what they were doing. They were truly professional tree guys, and most of them were here until it was almost dark outside. We were very happy with the work that was done, it was a very big and a very dangerous job. They had to access neighbors yards for some of the work, they had to drop power, cable and phone lines for equipment access, and overall it was a huge job. We live on a corner lot, so the bulk of the lumber was stacked on the property between the fence and side street. Glenn assured me that someone would be by monday to take the wood away, and that he would be here Tuesday to repair a chain-link fence rail that was damaged and fix the ruts and gouges in the lawn that were a result of the heavy equipment removing lumber from our property (They put down heavy duty composite mats that do keep the equipment from sinking into the lawn, but you still get soil compression that we knew that we would have that to deal with) We paid Glenn in full that night with the understanding that he would be back on Tuesday for the clean-up and repair work. The problem arose when Glenn did not return on the promised date to repair the damaged fence rail or fix the extensive lawn damage (gouges, ruts and bumps caused by equipment driving off of the mats and sinking into the lawn). After several unreturned phone calls & messages, we gave up on Glenn keeping his word, now we will have to hire someone to fix the fence and try to fill in the yard damage ourselves. We cannot recommend Glenns Everything Outdoors because he did not keep his word and has had 2 months to do so before this review was written. If everything had been completed as promised his ratings would have been much higher. To me a job that is not finished rates an F. Do yourself a favor, and find another company to do business with!
Description of Work: Cut down and romoved two large oak trees from backyard and ground down the stumps. They were very large trees that had huge branches hanging over dangerous power lines and three different neighbors' properties ( sheds, fences, a garage). It was not an easy job.
