I used them before I left Michigan and they were awesome. They were on Angie’s List and that is where I found them. They were competitive and professional.

This company was wonderful to deal with, from the initial call to the office to the salesman coming out to the 2 men who came out to do the work. They then responded to an additional concern in the same manner.

Did not complete work yet/equipment broke. Could have been a little neater.

We contacted several firms for estimates. We chose USA Insulation based upon reviews, material used and price. The job was well done, workers were efficient and neat, and we saved big time on heating costs this extremely cold winter. Our basement was very warm.

The insulation project involved foaming the space above the cinder blocks in the basement. We have an unfinished basement so that there was no difficulty with access. When signing up for the job I asked the salesman if there was anything I should do to prepare for the work. He said no. When the installers arrived I asked them the same question and they again said I did not have to do anything. I did move a few things from the base of the walls but left the majority of items in the basement where they were. After they were done spraying I used a flashlight to make sure everything was foamed. I found a few areas that were missed but I also found that some things I had stored up in the rafters had not been moved but were sprayed over. There was a curtain rod with some old curtains that got sprayed in place (I noticed this the next day). I pointed out the sprayed over items and the worker fixed the ones I noticed. I called the company to express my displeasure and the owner did call me back to get details. He sent another worker over to fix the issues. As more days go by we are finding more items with over spray. The only protection that was put down was some cardboard on top of our sauna. I would have thought they would have used plastic to protect items from the over spray. The foam insulation looks like it will do a good job keeping out the cold. Overall I thought the workmen were nice guys but did not do a very professional job and could have done a better job cleaning up after themselves. I was glad the owner called me back in a reasonable time and tried to make things right.

It went very well and the work has held up well! This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

I called USA because I had an issue with frost on a few of my outlets with the freezing temperatures. I explained to Bill that I didn't plan to be in the house much longer, I just wanted to correct the outlet problem before it happens again. He provided me with an honest solution that didn't require their work. He was prompt, polite and honest and that is precisely the service I was looking for.

I should be okay. But I did not check as it is in the attic.

There was some confusion about the invoice vs. the quote given to me, but I am glad the owner called to sort it out and honor the quote. The work was completed on time, the technicians were professional, although they seemed relatively inexperienced with the rim joist insulation task. I sure hope I get the energy savings I am hoping to see this winter! The office personnel were very helpful and responsive.

Awesome experience. The guys that came out were friendly and responsive, on time, and did a great job. I bought the angies deal - 300 sq ft of insulation for $100, and they did a spot-on excellent job covering the short areas and empty area over the kitchen.

They scheduled for the 4th and called a week before to reschedule for the 5th. The workers who came out were OK. They cleaned up pretty well and they were about a half hour late as they arrived at about 9:30 on the 5th. The night before, the office called to indicate they would be her about 8:30-9:00 and the morning and the crew called the morning of and it said it would be closer to 9:30am. The sales man didn’t seem to know much about what could be done with the vent areas over the garage. He didn’t explain things very well. The installers seemed pretty knowledgeable. There seemed to be a bit of a miscommunication between the installers and the salesperson regarding the barrier and a few other items. They completed the work in a day, which was within the given time frame. I wish the salesman had explained how the job was going to be done more clearly with items such as temporarily disconnecting the power to accommodate their equipment.

Workers showed up on time, were neat and curtious, insulation added per contract. Contractor did good job of cleaning up when done.

Due to the type of vinyl siding on our home, initial estimate is not accurate. Two more trips to house, one unannounced and still no quote. 11/01/2013 - We have NEVER heard back from this company. Unconscionable after all the time and effort made by us to meet up with them several times and take time out of our work schedule. Hard to believe that the reviews of this company are so high on Angie's List, which is why we originally selected them...fake, perhaps? 11/21/13 As stated above, we NEVER received any voice messages from Tom or Chris after the last visit to our house. Seeing the response below is very informative as we did not know that it is IMPOSSIBLE to insulate from the outside...When Tom came out here and mentioned insulating from inside or outside, he said we probably wouldn't want to do this and we agreed. We never were able to make any final decision as we never heard back from them with a quote which they stated below is "cost prohibitive." NEVER received a final DOLLAR AMOUNT TO EVEN RECONSIDER INSULATING FROM THE INSIDE. Tom or someone dropped the ball and never, ever got back in touch with us. why would we bother to spend time filing this complaint?? Waiting 2 -3 weeks and having to call Tom after his FIRST trip out was ridiculous but we figured he was VERY busy. 11-2013 Chris called and talked to my husband and myself...interesting that somehow the correct phone number was found...He said that he was sorry and basically wanted us to change the review...for naught as we are no longer interested in doing business with this company...my review stands as the facts are facts. 12/20/13 Phone issues go along with all the homes in the area due to storms. Not correct interpretation of the conversation. Interesting that Tom was able to call me directly on the home's second line over and over again during the quoting process and that I called him back after not hearing from him for 2 wks. at a time after his call/promise of quote. We restate we never heard back from the two men from the company to be informed that our job was too expensive, etc. Not "fair " that we wasted all of our time showing Tom around the house, and having two more visits by other co. associates one scheduled and one not then waiting for a quote that you never delivered. Own the mishandling of our situation due to a breakdown in communication within your "team."

-Prompt contact from office after I made "coupon" purchase through angieslist.com -Easy scheduling of initial home visit for appraisal - available early on a Saturday morning to fit my needs. Thorough, professional examination of home and explanation of potential services. No pressure to add on services beyond initial inquiry. -Easy scheduling of installation date. -Exceptionally professional installation crew. Courteous and respectful of my home and space, kept me informed of progress and offered every opportunity for me to inspect work at key steps. -Clean up above average, but did find a small amount of insulation in various crannies in following days (in daughter's shoes in closet where attic access is, for example.) To be expected. -Prompt return of receipt and supporting documentation to me for use in applying for rebate from my energy supplier. Only remaining item: I have been select for an onsite audit by the energy supplier as a result of my application for rebate. This is a routine and random selection. They wish to come to my home to ensure attic work "has been done properly", and my rebate is contingent on this inspection. I will be scheduling this at next earliest opportunity. Should a concern about the quality of the work done by USA Installation arise from this inspection, I will contact them and update experience here accordingly.

Their rep Tom came to my house on time, used various gizmos and checked out my house and gave a quick, honest appraisal which seemed online from my research (no upselling or used car salesman jive). They are very much aware of their Angies List standing so dont forget to mention this when you call. I purchased one of the online coupons and saved about $300. ALSO - I waited for the bottom line and then offered cash- The price dropped another %10. Tom also offered to place some insulation in the nooks and crannies of my basement for no charge. That was nice. The crew arrived a week earlier than scheduled and worked hard for about 4 hours. They were polite and unobtrusive- very professional and well trained. My home was left immaculate and everything was done very well. USA Installation is all good- dont forget the coupons!

Friendly employees. Had equipment issues, had to schedule a second day but completed work and cleaned up. Very satisfied with results.

The home inspection and estimate was conducted promptly and he did a great job walking me through the process and recommendation. The actual work was done within a week after and the reps arrived promptly as scheduled and were clean, efficient and able to do a walk through to get approval before finishing. Overall nice job.

Price quoted was far greater than similar quotes...while high, I don't hold vendor completely responsible...I feel that Angie's List should not offer this type of open ended sale...i.e. it is not tangible like a 46? TV that usually sells for 500.00 being offered for $300.00. This type of product/service just lends itself to pricing abuses by the vendor and I feel that you should not lend your good name to a company that may intentionally or not intentionally have a much higher price than similar vendors.

Everything went well. They were good. There was a little miscommunication between them and the installers. We had different thoughts on what they were doing and what we were paying for but we resolved it all.
