Description of Work: I use Gelinas for heating and air conditioning. They were doing a service checkup for the air conditioner the last time they came out.

Description of Work: Repair a burst frozen pipe. Figured out where the source was quickly and also was able to do it same day. They give priority to previous customers which is great.

Description of Work: CAME OUT FOR INITIAL ASSESSMENT (COST just under $100) ON A/C. THEY SAID NEEDED TO DO FOLLOW UP WORK. DID NOT HEAR FROM THEM TO SCHEDULE FOLLOW-UP FOR MORE THAN WEEK. I FINALLY CALLED THEM AND NO ONE RETURNED CALL. I CALLED A WEEK LATER-SAID THEY MAY BE ABLE TO GET OUT END OF WEEK. THEY DID NOT CALL. ON MY LAST CALL I WAS TOLD THEY ARE BOOKED 5 WEEKS OUT AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO!! GOT PINE STATE TO COME OUT SEVERAL DAYS LATER. PINE STATE FIXED THE PROBLEM THAT DAY.

Description of Work: repaired the water heater...excellent service as they are very professional and efficient. I have used them many times over the past 10 years and would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: While I only used limited actual service for a condo that I am currently renting while preparing to "build" a pre-fab house one of the owners, Bill Gelinas, has been extremely helpful and generous with his time in helping me to resolve questions with the operation of the HVAC system in my current rental and more important with helping to educate me re various HVAC options with the prefab that is to be built for my wife and I. I am not sure at this point as to whether or not we will be able to utilize their services for our prefab adventure but if there is any options to use him and the company for that or any other HVAC and plumbing needs that we may have there would be no question as to using them. They definitely seem to be a top notch outfit with really generous policies and willingness to help out.n/a

Description of Work: Gelinas was originally hired to install a metal chimney for our furnace. They subbed much of the work to A Top, but their rate was competitive, they did a good job, and were very professional. Because of this experience, we hired Gelinas to purchase and install a new water heater. We were also very satisfied with this work, the plumber, Jeremy Marston, was excellent to work with (we had many questions on different models and the sizing of the unit, etc, and he researched and answered all questions). We would definitely hire them again. In fact, we have recommended them to our neighbors.

Description of Work: I used Gelinas HVAC Services last year to hook up a washer.

Description of Work: We had a Heat distribution problem with one of the home heat "sectors." The co-owner (Mr. McLellan) was prompt, thorough, and always willing to share his thinking as he worked out the problems . We discovered both a problem with the temperature control system and the placement of installation. This consultation followed the services of another company which created so much chaos that they did not charge us. The charges from Gelinas were very fair.The services was timely, the communication clear and polite. I would (and will) use them again. Incidentally, we have a plumbing problem and they have recently added a plumber to the team.

Description of Work: Bill installed an air conditioning system in our home and also performed some repair work on our heating system.

Description of Work: Bill and his team were absolutely terrific. I had checked out a couple of other local companies and his bid was the lowest. The work to be done was complicated only because of the gas company. But even that was handled professionally. Gelinas HVAC is a sub-contractor for Unitil so both parties are familiar to each other. When there was any issues (only one) that Unitil had, Bill sent a tech immediately to remedy the problem. Now that's service! What I especially appreciated is that Bill had given me his cell phone number so whenever I had any questions he was just a call away. As far as the install that went very smoothly. I was replacing an old FHA oil furnace with a NG furnace. The techs set it up to use propane until the natural gas line was brouht to the house. I initially asked Bill about what he would charge to covert it back to NG and told me there was no charge since all that it required was changing the orifices. I didn't tell him that the other outfit was going to charge me another one hundred dollars to do the same thing. I would recommend Gelinas HVAC to anyone looking to install or replace their heating system.
