Dear Sir, Belair Engineering has been providing top notch AC service & installation for over 53 years. One of our MD HVAC Master Technicians performed a FREE site survey at your home that also included digital pictures and detailed measurements. Our HVAC Master Technician was certainly able to provide you with any replacement proposal. We install about 4 new comfort systems per day and we’re very familiar with the climate, codes & construction in your neighborhood. I also did an Anne Arundel County Online Permit Search on your property. I did not see that any of your required permits were pulled or any inspections were scheduled or completed. I would suggest that you contact the person that did your installation and demand that an AA County electrical permit & mechanical permit be pulled and then the work be inspected by the AA County permits Dept. to make sure that it’s a legal installation. Also you should make sure that your manufacturer warranties have been submitted so if you have any future warranty issues your manufacturer will honor them. It costs a lot of time, effort, licensing and money to do these things and we pull permits and stand inspections on all we do. Description of Work: My heat exchanger failed on my 22 year old furnace. Had to get anew furnace as well as a new A/C unit. They were able to install everything in one day. Excellent job but very expensive!

Description of Work: .Belair Engineering certainly did work on my home. They called repeatedly wanting payment in full when they did not receive payment in full. Why would they do this if they did not work on my home. I see I'm not the only person giving them and "F". They are terrible, don't use them.

Because Belair Engineering has NEVER WORKED at your home, I’m wondering how Belair Engineering is able to garner an F-Grade on Angie’s List for work that we NEVER did? Description of Work: I was over a 10 year customer when I requested a proposal to upgrade my entire HVAC system. There initial service for several years was good, but for the last couple of years it dropped off and I had to complain. Service then returned to a good level. When I decided to upgrade the system I decided to give them the first choice. There proposal was promised in a few days, but I did not get it on the date promised or a call, so I decided on another company. PS - their representative did hand deliver proposal a day late.

(though we do try). I regret that we were not able to provide you with the level of service that you deserve and that we try very hard to provide all our clients with. In the heating and cooling business we often go 0-100 mph in 3 seconds as demand heats up rapidly. We try our best and I instruct our technicians to provide a superior service experience to each and every one of our clients. When we show up to your front door its showtime! Sometimes we may have an off night but we will always do what ever it takes to make things right for our valued clients. We realize that it's important to have a good working relationship with an HVAC contractor because it's very likely that our clients are going to need our services when the weather is bad. Description of Work: Extremely competitive pricing for new HVAC system. Entire system, along with condensate pump and humidifier, was replaced. Done punctually and professionally. Two year service contract, with bi-annual inspections, included for free. When equipment is under service contract, their response time is fabulous. Technicians are very courteous and highly skilled. Best heating/cooling company in Prince George's County.

Description of Work: They charged $149 for an estimate. They did no testing and used the markings from the previous estimate to determine the problem. I was given a vague estimate spanning $3000. They wanted another $450 to do another test, which I later learned I didn't need. I told them I would call them, but they called me to try to set up an appointment for someone to come out to give me a realistic estimate.

Our dispatch fee is the charge to have a factory trained technician in a well stocked van stop out at your home and determine your system's malfunction. We do NOT charge a cheap price just to get in your door and then try to upsell you on something you may or may not need just to $alvage the call. The $450.00 leak search requires us to reclaim your refrigerant, pump up your system with nitrogen to find the leak, fix the leak or leaks, change your refrigerant filter/drier, put the system under vacume to make sure there are no leaks then pump up your system with refrigerant. This takes most of a day. The $3,000 ball park quote was for a new AC and coil. We advise our clients to replace a system if it's over 10+years old and has a large refrigerant leak. A new system comes with a 10 year warranty instead of just 90 day warranty for a repair. Belair Engineering is celebrating our 50th year serving our clients many of which are Angie's List Customers.
