I?ve detected a high level of radon in my house with a Corentium meter -- 30+ in the basement and 15+ on the main level. I contact Radon Abatement Services through Angie?s list and the owner, John, responded to my inquiry very fast and answered all my questions. He did further explaining during his visit to check the house. His installers were very professional and willing to work out the best installation solution for the house. Within the first day after the installation the radon reading in the basement dropped to below 4, as promised by John, and a week later it dropped to below 2 in the basement, which means it?s even lower on the main level. I highly recommend this company!

The installation crew was punctual. We don't have a sump pump in the basement, so they had to make a hole in the slab. Luckily, our house has gravel under the concrete slab, which, as I was told, is not typical for older house like ours. Because of the gravel, the installation was simpler and did not require another opening in the slab. During the installation, the crew chief readily answered my questions.

The installation went smoothly, and the post-mitigation radon levels were almost non-detectable.

They came and completed the work. The most important is that since the completion of the work I have asked John many related questions and he always answered. The questions include how to do a short term and long-term radon test. John has provided valuable answers and suggestions, which saved me a lot of time. In the past four years, we have wrote each other about 60 messages. I believe he is an excellent provider.

The technician arrived on time and had a fantastic attitude. He had a very professional manor and a teaching spirit. He explained the work ahead of time and made us feel comfortable with the decision that needed to be made. He performed the work in a timely manor and explained the system afterward. I will definitely call this provider if I ever need service in the future.

Owner was very quick and responsive. We traded emails and talked on the phone within an hour of my initial inquiry. I asked for help on Tuesday, he has a team out the next day. His crew was courteous and competent. Very happy with the service.

Came highly recommended. Spoke with owner on phone and he explained the process, etc. We exchanged series of emails. Owner was responsive to all questions and the crew that came out and did the work was efficient and professional. They pointed out possible issues and explained everything as they went along. I am very please with how the installation went and have already recommended them to a neighbor.

The radon levels in our basement were right on the "action level" and we decided it was probably worth doing something because we'd probably have to deal with it 5-10 years from now when we sell our house.  I emailed Radon Abatement Services and they called me back right away.  They provided an estimate of a likely solution and cost right over the phone.  I had them come out a few weeks later for a proposal.  Thankfully, the solution wasn't going to involve digging up the floor or going in to the part of the basement we just finished, etc.  I had them come in a few months later to perform the work.  The technician showed up on time and immediately got to work. Work was performed within a day and cost was as quoted.  Once he was done, the technician went over the work that was performed and showed me how to read the meter that was installed as well as perform the short and long term tests provided.

The team that came to do the work seemed to have not talked to the guy who made the initial inspection. I was sort of alarmed they apparently barely had any discussion with their boss about the work prior to arriving, and there were several variables that made it more complicated than usual, I was told earlier during the first visit. They asked me where to start drilling; thankfully I was the one at home and knew where to install it. They also dumped all the vac debris on my lawn and tore up my grass with their truck. Could have been much more professional and on point.
