Very pleased. The owner ,Jon, is very quick to respond with any questions we had and to schedule the service. The installers also deserve a Kudos for the work they did. It was extremely cold and windy that day, but they did the job just as they described they would.

It went very well! I was very pleased with the communication between myself and the owner. He was very friendly and fair! I also enjoyed the crew that came out to install the radon mitigation system. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and fast!

I first emailed the company via their website to request an estimate. With no answer a week later, I called them (figuring that they are the highest rated and worth pursuing) and got an appointment for an estimate. The technician came on time, took a look, and left, stating that the owner was on vacation, but he would get back to me with an estimate. Not receiving an estimate in a timely manner, I called them. Received the estimate, but the proposed approach did not make sense based on the layout of our house -- it seemed that the estimate was for a different house. Called the owner (who prepared the proposal) to ask for clarification. He told me to call the technician. Called the tech. Our basement was just recently refinished, so we wanted to know exactly where they were going to install the system, and would have appreciated the opportunity to discuss our options. I could not get a clear idea from the tech of where the system would be located or where the vent pipe would be routed. I asked if he could come to the house again to give us a clarified proposal and answer our questions, but he could not do it for another week since he had to come from Loudon County (to Fairfax...). Overall, I did not find the people I spoke with highly motivated to serve or talk to me (one of my questions was laughed at) so I went with another provider.

Prompt, professional, and courteous. Installed the system in a few hours and provided test kits for us to use to verify that the installation solved the problem. Came in at the lower end of the estimate. Would definitely recommend to a friend or family member.

I?ve detected a high level of radon in my house with a Corentium meter -- 30+ in the basement and 15+ on the main level. I contact Radon Abatement Services through Angie?s list and the owner, John, responded to my inquiry very fast and answered all my questions. He did further explaining during his visit to check the house. His installers were very professional and willing to work out the best installation solution for the house. Within the first day after the installation the radon reading in the basement dropped to below 4, as promised by John, and a week later it dropped to below 2 in the basement, which means it?s even lower on the main level. I highly recommend this company!

I was extremely satisfied with the services received by Radon Abatement Services. They installed the system quickly and left no mess behind. They explained how the system worked thoroughly and answered all my questions.

The installation crew was punctual. We don't have a sump pump in the basement, so they had to make a hole in the slab. Luckily, our house has gravel under the concrete slab, which, as I was told, is not typical for older house like ours. Because of the gravel, the installation was simpler and did not require another opening in the slab. During the installation, the crew chief readily answered my questions. The installation went smoothly, and the post-mitigation radon levels were almost non-detectable.

They came and completed the work. The most important is that since the completion of the work I have asked John many related questions and he always answered. The questions include how to do a short term and long-term radon test. John has provided valuable answers and suggestions, which saved me a lot of time. In the past four years, we have wrote each other about 60 messages. I believe he is an excellent provider.

The technician arrived on time and had a fantastic attitude. He had a very professional manor and a teaching spirit. He explained the work ahead of time and made us feel comfortable with the decision that needed to be made. He performed the work in a timely manor and explained the system afterward. I will definitely call this provider if I ever need service in the future.

They were really good. It worked very well. The levels went down to practically nothing. We had asked about it and whenever I asked anyone who had a great experience, they had used this guy so he came highly recommended.

Owner was very quick and responsive. We traded emails and talked on the phone within an hour of my initial inquiry. I asked for help on Tuesday, he has a team out the next day. His crew was courteous and competent. Very happy with the service.

Owner was responsive to all questions and the crew that came out and did the work was efficient and professional. They pointed out possible issues and explained everything as they went along. I am very please with how the installation went and have already recommended them to a neighbor.

The radon levels in our basement were right on the "action level" and we decided it was probably worth doing something because we'd probably have to deal with it 5-10 years from now when we sell our house. I emailed Radon Abatement Services and they called me back right away. They provided an estimate of a likely solution and cost right over the phone. I had them come out a few weeks later for a proposal. Thankfully, the solution wasn't going to involve digging up the floor or going in to the part of the basement we just finished, etc. I had them come in a few months later to perform the work. The technician showed up on time and immediately got to work. Work was performed within a day and cost was as quoted. Once he was done, the technician went over the work that was performed and showed me how to read the meter that was installed as well as perform the short and long term tests provided.

The team that came to do the work seemed to have not talked to the guy who made the initial inspection. I was sort of alarmed they apparently barely had any discussion with their boss about the work prior to arriving, and there were several variables that made it more complicated than usual, I was told earlier during the first visit. They asked me where to start drilling; thankfully I was the one at home and knew where to install it. They also dumped all the vac debris on my lawn and tore up my grass with their truck. Could have been much more professional and on point.

Great service and very reasonable price. They even pinpointed aspects of our home that limited the cost.

Work went as described and the phone consult prepared me for potential issues and an accurate estimate.

The vendor was very responsive through email and messaging and punctual on service day. They had to reschedule from morning to afternoon but they give me advance notice with enough time to afjust my schedule.They did an analysis of the building, a new and finished basement. I'm very impressed by their level of craftsmanship. They have done a clean job, both inside and also installing the pipes and electrical on the outside. Upon self test, radon levels were down to 0.7 from 4.5. I'm very happy with them and recommend them for radon mitigation.

Excellent service. John was very responsive and gave me a price quote in a timely manner. The people who came out to do the job, three men, were courteous and finished he job in about three hours. They also did a great job of explaining what was done and how to use the follow up testers to make sure the radon levels were still below the threshold. I really appreciated that they put a cloth on the floor to walk on so as to dirty the floor and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. They really left no trace. Overall, this seems like an honest company with reasonable prices. And most importantly, the radon levels in my home were significantly reduced.

Overall, I could not be more pleased with my experience with this company. After contacting them through Angie's List, I received an email and call from the owner John. We spoke on the phone about the work, and he was very familiar with the homes in my areas, issues to expect, etc. He was able to provide an immediate estimate, and followed up with an emailed quote. Scheduling was simple, and my first choice date was available. On the scheduled date, Walter and his crew arrived promptly and were very courteous and professional. They explained the steps in the remediation processes and worked very efficiently. Even though two holes were required to be drilled, they completely the work well under the estimated time and left my basement cleaner than they found it. Walter then thoroughly explained the installed system (mirroring what John had described over the phone) and provided the short and long term radon test kits. The provided test kit showed that radon level post mitigation were below the detectable level, and my home radon meter backs these results. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone with radon issues.

Exceeded all expectations: Mr. Swett set up an appointment to evaluate the scope of work and was punctual, very professional, knowledgeable, and informative. He suggested a course of action; how the work would be done; explained the costs and charges; and answered all of my questions. Mr. Swett said that his crews were experienced and reliable and they delivered everything and more. When Mr. Leiva and his crew arrived (again, when expected and on-time), they were polite, clean, and began the work immediately. Mr. Leiva is EPA trained and tested; explained in detail what he and his crew were going to do; verified where I wanted the radon evacuation duct to be drilled in the slab, how the ducting would run, and where the duct would exit the house. All of the work done was impeccable, professional, neat with a high attention to detail, and their clean up left no trace of anything done (which included drilling a hole in the basement slab and the exit point for the discharge duct. Even the discharge duct that was run outside of the house was done in such a way that it is unobtrusive and blends in with the exterior of the house (the duct was run up next to a downspout that helps disguise the duct work). Mr. Swett also provides services to replace the radon exhaust fan in the event that there are any problems. I highly recommend Radon Abatement Services for any radon mitigation that needs to be done.

The entire experience was first-rate. Mr. Swett was punctual on the day we arranged for an estimate and was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done. I felt the estimate he provided was reasonable. His crew was also punctual on the date of the installation, and they clearly knew their business. The work was completed in about four hours and they carefully cleaned the work area when the job was completed. They carefully explained what I needed to know about the warranty and how to monitor the system. Overall, I am completely satisfied by the work done by the firm and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a radon remediation system in the Washington, D.C. area.
