The problem was a bath tub faucet that had become separated from a pipe behind the wall. So when we turned on the faucet, the water would pour out behind the wall. I thought this would be a complicated job -- certainly beyond my own capacity to handle. He arrived on time, immediately diagnosed the problem, knew to look for a trap door behind the tub (that was hidden in my daughter's bedroom closet. He discovered that the copper pipe had never been adequately welded to the faucet. This guy is VERY bright and honest.

We had a hard time re-creating it, but he stuck around and tried enough things that he saw it, and figured out the problem. He had to try several parts off his truck, and replace more plumbing than he originally planned, but he got it fixed, and did not increase the price for the work. Very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely call them again if I need plumbing work.

Work done on time and as requested

Looking for a Plumber, I search AL and saw reviews for Payless. I called and left a message. I even mentioned that I knew that I was calling before Thanksgiving and that of course we could do something afterwards. After Thanksgiving holiday I tried several more times to call but with no return calls. This review is for non response to my calls. I always understand that we are all very busy and even sometimes overwhelmed during the holidays. I made plenty of calls, left plenty messages, and gave them time to return my calls but I never received one call back, even to say we are booked. Sometimes that's all we need. I gave a C grade b/c AL doesn't let you grade overall just on non responsive businesses. I don't want to totally penalize a place for work not performed.

A pinhole leak occurred in the copper cold water pipe in a concealed location. I patched it temporarily, but because of a history of pinhole leak problems in copper pipes in areas serviced by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, I decided to replace most of the horizontal cold water pipe. Zivko of Payless Plumbing did the job for me at a very good price. He arrived on the dot at the appointed time, he was very professional, and he did excellent work. I'm very pleased with the results, and I definitely will use his services again

They unclogged the disposal and stopped some leaking under the sink. They were terrific It went really really well.

After dealing with a disappointing general contractor, I turned to Angie's List to find a real professional to complete HVAC and plumbing work at a fixer upper that I recently purchased. Shortly after I called Payless Plumbing, Zivko and his associate arrived and to provide an estimate. I told them that I needed them to repair the furnace, AC and water heater. They inspected these items and clearly explained which items could be repaired and which required replacement. They also discovered an unsafe condition with my AC that my home inspector had overlooked. When they learned that I was a new home owner, they also took the time to explain the operation of each system and offered suggestions as to how to operate them most efficiently. Subsequently, they promptly returned and completed the work in one day. They arrived on time and were professional during the entire project. I was so pleased that I hired them again for additional work, which they also completed skillfully. Mr. Grozdanic saved us! I had a pinhole on one of my pipes that traveled above a ceiling. The water caused my drywall ceiling to collapse. I called Payless plumbing in the late afternoon to see if there was anything he could do. He was able to to come that same evening and repair the leaky pipe. I mentioned that my ceiling had collapsed. Well, while he was repairing the leaky pipe and having an open view to the space between the collapsed ceiling and the above floor, we also noticed that I had a really bad leak coming from one of the toilets upstairs. We shutoff the water to that toilet and Mr. Grozdanic came back first thing the following morning, removed the toilet, explained and showed me why the toilet was leaking (improper installation), made the necessary repairs, and all at a very reasonable price. Mr. Grozdanic of Payless Plumbing is very skilled, professional, informative, and very competitive with his pricing. We would not hesitate to use Payless Plumbing again should the need arise!

From start to finish Payless has been easy to work with, responsive, efficient and extremely professional. In addition to being multi-talented, Zivko?s attention to detail is laudable. He uncovered a potential serious issue when he noticed, through a floor opening, that a sink in the half bath was not connected to the sewer line, but rather draining to the crawl space! The area was exposed as a result of having new floors installed. He fixed it on the spot and the floor project was able to continue without delay. Zivko is a truly great plumber. He is very hard working and fair in prices. We had a job that we told him needed to get done ASAP. He worked on Sunday, to complete it. The gentleman who came was extremely professional. He explained what he needed to do and explained why the previous company had not identified the problem. He was careful about protecting the floor from damage and KIND to my little cat. Rarely have I encountered such a positive experience.

Payless Plumbing responded to my Friday evening call to repair a pipe that had burst in my basement, and we set an appointment for the next day. I lost power, as did many homes that evening, and by Saturday had lost phone service in my home and had very limited cell phone service. Even though I had trouble contacting Payless Piumbing to communicate my lack of power and to possibly reschedule, the repairman still showed up on time and was able to complete the work under less than ideal conditions. I was impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the repairman. The price for the work was excellent, much less than I expected. I highly recommend Payless Plumbing and will use their services again the next time the need arises.

Job completed quickly and professionally.

He was the least expensive in the entire area. He came the same day we called him. He is the most reasonable of anyone and he’s very nice. He fixed it in under an hour and it cost $80. No one else could give me a rate like that. He does free estimates which is very rare. Everyone else estimated it would cost $150 and they couldn’t guarantee they could fix it. He is super professional, he’s wonderful, and he loved our dog. He rocks and we love him. I would definitely use him again.

It went great. He was able to come out the same day (that morning in fact) to fix it. We spoke on the phone, he asked me some questions and then explained the process and provided me with a quote. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was able to fix the problem within 15 minutes and charged me exactly what he quoted.

When I called to explain my problem and find out when he could come, he asked me some questions about the problem and what kind of toilet I had. He gave me an estimate and set an appointment. On the day of the appointment, he called ahead to be sure the time was still agreeable, and he arrived on time. As my house is currently under repair from previous storm damage, the air conditioning isn't working. It was extremely hot in the house with just a fan running, but he didn't complain and didn't rush through the job. When he discovered the problem, he explained to me what he needed to do. Once he was finished, he flushed the toilet to show me that the problem was fixed. He charged me the amount he had quoted to me.I was very pleased with his professionalism, the quality of his work, and his pleasant manner under uncomfortable conditions. I would definitely use him again.

We can't recommend Zivko highly enough. He was prompt, responsive, nice, knowledgeable, and thorough. You also won't find a better price. He takes time to explain what he's doing and is patient - this job took hours, but he made sure it was done right. In fact, the inspector came the next day to certify the water heater installation, took one quick look and slapped a "pass" on it. He said it's clear when a job has been done correctly and well. We'll definitely be using him in the future and recommend him to anyone.

Payless Plumbing came in to install a Delta Faucet in my kitchen. Ziko was prompt to respond to my email inquiry - within 24 hours. He approached the project energetically, explained, and cleared some of the stuff blocking access for a faucet replacement. the area was not tidy at all and he dove in. He explained the general situation, also identified the limitation of the faucet I bought. I had other concerns - he took a look and assessed and probably saved me money for paying for unnecessary work on my toilet. He was clear to explain that additional hoses were needed and because the existing ones were not serviceable. More amazing was after he departed my door- I had the cleaning grew in-when I returned to personally use the kitchen faucet- the water flowed straight down,It was not being captured. I called and he reappeared at my door instantly. He explained that the cleaning crew pulled too much on the faucet and as he forwarned if one pulled too much the system would not function well. He made the proper adjustment and I have no complaints. He disposed of the existing faucet.

PLUMMER SHOWED UP RIGHT WHEN HE SAID HE'D BE HERE. LOOKED AT THE TUB AND ASKED WHEN IT WAS LAST SNAKED OUT. TOLD HIM NOT IN THE 40 YEARS I'D LIVED HERE. HE SAID HE MAY HAVE A PROBLEM SINCE THE TRAP WAS OLD AND HAD A VERY TIGHT ANGLE. HE THEN GOT A SMALL ELECTRIC SNAKE FROM HIS TRUCK AND GOT IT TO WORK GOING THRU THE OVERFLOW DRAIN. AFTER A WHILE IT SEEMED TO CLEAR THE BLOCKAGE AND THE TUB DRAINS THE FASTEST SINCE I'VE LIVED HERE. VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK AND THE PRICE. WILL USE AGAIN WHEN THE NEED COMES UP.
