The owner comes out to do the estimate and is willing to anser any questions. The young lade in the office also responded to every concern I had. I ask a lot of questions and expect good service and I wasn't disappointed by BMC. The level of professionalism and service was excellent. The two crews that came to install were very very polite and professional and I believe the installation was well done. Oftentimes the owner comes out and gives a very professional sales pitch but the installation crew are not as professional. This was hardly the case at BMC. The crew displayed a professionalism cna care for service that I rarely see anymore. I recommended BMC to a friend who had installation done by BMC for a furnace and a/c the same week. She also is very happy with the professionalism and responsiveness. I interviewed several companies and I am very comfortable wth my choice.

BMC Clower installed a new Carrier heat pump (model number 25HNA936) and a new Carrier gas furnace (model number 58MVC080-20) in July 2010. We got estimates from four companies; BMC was about in the middle in terms of price. What really impressed us was that the owner of the company came out to provide the estimate; their follow-up proposal (in writing, sent via email) listed four different options (with prices), and they were very responsive when we had follow-up questions on the proposals. After selecting the option we wanted, they ordered the parts and were able to schedule the installation about two weeks later. The installation took two days, and they were on time both days (early, actually). The work was fast and they cleaned up after themselves extremely well. (They also removed our old behemoth 1950s gas furnace, included in the $11,700 price). After living with the new system for one year, we are extremely pleased with the quality of the work and we would definitely recommend them. *UPDATE: We had a problem with the heat pump that started about a year after installation (we didn't notice right away and just assumed that the warmer temperatures were the result of a leaky old house paired with an extremely hot summer); just short of two years after installation, it stopped working altogether. The system was still under warranty, so we contacted BMC Clower. They sent someone out right away, and found that the heat pump was suffering from a common--but tricky and time-consuming to fix--manufacturer defect. They were able to do the repair within a couple days. Since it was under warranty, it was free, even though it took about 5-6 hours of labor. More than a year later, the system is working flawlessly, so the repairman clearly did an excellent job. Long story short, we are still very pleased with the quality and professionalism of BMC Clower's work.

From start to finish BMC was a pleasure to deal with. Beth, in the office, was always prompt about returning phone calls and even contacted me on a Sunday to let me know the owner had a cancellation and could come out earlier than originally scheduled. After I'd gotten the requisite 3 estimates and asked BMC to do the job, Beth ordered the unit immediately instead of waiting to get my signed paperwork back, expediting the process. The job was then scheduled for that Saturday - Beth mentioned the crews don't usually work weekends but she'd contacted them and they said they would. They were scheduled to come out between 7 and 7:30. Unfortunately I work Saturdays but had someone at the house to be there for the crew. The two man crew arrived as I was leaving the house at 7am. I only had a moment to say hello but they were extremely pleasant. I arrived home at 1:30, and was told the crew had left a mere 30 minutes earlier - they'd been working for six hours. The a/c works great and they left a very clean work area as well as alerting me to a problem with the humidifier.

I was referred to BMC by Master Plumbing (another top pick). I called to request a service call because my heating system was struggling to do its job. It wasn't and emergency, which I stated when I called, but nevertheless, I had the owner at my door within 2 hours! I'm a little embarrassed to admit that the problem was just a dirty filter, but we discussed some other issues as well. I will definitely call again when we have heating and air issues or decide to upgrade.

The guy that came out was on time and very efficient. One of my furnaces is in the attic and while many other companies refuse to work on it the worker from BMC was more than willing. Not only did he perform the regular service but he found a problem with the furnace. The worker had to come back to fix the problem and did a great job the second time around and was very thorough.

As part of an overall utilities replacement, BMC came in to replace our furnace and thermostat. The estimate and installation went just fine. Only hitch in the whole process was that BMC was so backlogged with AC tasks that it took three months for them to get in and install our furnace. They did get it in before the weather turned cold.

The estimator was supposed to come between 2-4 PM on a Friday afternoon, so I took off from work to be there. At 3:30, I called Sarah in the office to see what was going on, since no one had showed up yet. She told me that she thought the appointment was still on, and would call me back with further information. I haven't heard from them since.

We decided to hire BMC based on the reasonable price and the thoroughness of their estimate. We were going to be out of town for a few weeks, so signing the contract and scheduling the work was a challenge. This was my only minor complaint - it took a couple of phone calls and emails with the office manager to solidify a date for the work to begin. The work began as scheduled and the workers came every day on time (it was a 3 day job). One day, the workers were stuck in DC traffic and the office called me to advise they were running a little late, which I appreciated. They only arrived 10 minutes late. At the end of each day, I was advised on what work had been done and what the plan was for the next day. They cleaned up the work area daily. The work was done when promised and the quality of the work was excellent. John (the owner) even came out on the last day to inspect the job and progress. When the work was done, the technician spent time explaining the system and how to program the new thermostat. John even called us two days after the job was done to confirm we were happy with our new HVAC system and that the work was to our satisfaction!! Customer service and quality work are clearly the priority at BMC/Clower. I highly recommend them!

We were very pleased with the service technician and customer service. They showed up within 2 hour window as promised. They let us know our options after swift diagnosis. We chose to repair at that time . There was no pressure to sell us a new system . They emailed us an estimate as requested. Our neighbor used them to install thier new system and said it was a wonderrful experience . We are looking forward to replacing our system with them in the fall.The proper name of this company is BMC/Clower. John Clower is the owner .

We called them and they were able to come the same day. They were very responsive, professional, and they educated us well on both the system we had and the new system they put in. Our experience was very positive

I think the job was well-done, but it was not completed on time, causing me to lose rental income and delaying the follow-up contractor who was hired to box in the duct work.

THEY ARE EXCELLENT, VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND THE EQUIPMENT THEY USE IS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES VERY WELL TOO!

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE OF BMC. THE GUYS WERE EFFICIENT AND DID NOT INTERRUPT MY HOUSEHOLD. THEY WERE QUICK, CLEAN AND POLITE. THE COST WAS A LITTLE MORE THAN I LIKED, BUT I AM PLEASED.

BMC INSPECTED THE AILING HEAT PUMP SYSTEM PROVIDED TWO ESTIMATES, ONE A STANDARD EFFICIENCY AND THEN A HIGH EFFICIENCY MODEL. THEY WERE HAPPY TO OUTLINE THE DIFFERENCES IN THE TWO PRODUCTS AND OFFERED SOUND ADVICE AS TO THE PROPER REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT.
