The Gutter Guys

They were really helpful and didn't oversell me which was very important because I just bought this house and I thought I needed brand new gutters. But, he came back and said you don't need new gutters, you just need them to be fixed and repaired so I really appreciated that. He didn't oversell me when he could have said "yes, you need new gutters" and I would have believed him so that was nice. He came out, did all the work and they were done within an hour. I have been very satisfied. The price was good as well.

They were awesome and they were the only people who responded to my request for an estimate. They got back to me within a couple of hours actually and set up an appointment. They came out, took their time and gave me samples and everything. Before I use them I want to contact a couple of other people to make sure that I am getting a good price.

They were great. We have a two story colonial house, ~2000 sq feet.They said they would be here at 9 and they rang the doorbell at 9 on the dot. He was patient in explaining everything, especially our concerns regarding ice damming and the lifetime warranty. The finished product looked great. The installers were just as professional as the salesperson.

I give them all A?s for their services. I would consider calling them back out in the future.

After reading reviews on Angie's List, I phoned and made an appointment for a free estimate. The appointment was timely and the estimator, Matt, arrived promptly. We examined samples, looked at colors, got a detailed written price for the work, including pricing for any repair work, should that becone necessary. We submitted our exterior change application to our neighborhood covenant committee and waited for approval. Once the work was approved, I called Matt, he stopped in several days later to explain how the work would be done and gave us an approximate date of when work would begin. Our materials had to be special ordered so installation depended on that. We received a call to set the exact date about a week later. The crew arrived on time. We met them, then went off to work. After returning home at the end of the day, I spoke with the crew foreman who pointed out the work done so far. He mentioned that both the underground downspout lines were clogged and they had to run the new spouts out into the yard. I mentioned that I'd call a plumber to get them cleaned. Work for the next day involved hanging the remaining gutter and connecting it up to the downspout. I received a call mid-morning to say that they were finished, so I returned home to inspect the job and write a check for the balance. Amazingly they guys had fixed my clogged underground drains, removed the elbows from the day before and reinstalled connections to the now-clean drains! No need to call the plumber. Wow! They also inspected the slate roof while they were up on the ladder, saw that we had made some repairs but spotted two overlapping slates with a hole straight through both to the wood. They inserted a piece of flashing between the two shingles to prevent it from leaking. My heros! Now 2 weeks later and in a period of heavy rain everything works great. Super experience.

They were excellent. They came when they told me they were going to be coming. Their pricing was very competitive with others that we checked with. The service was very good. The people were very professional. They cleaned up well after themselves. We had a 5 percent discount coupon and they offered the discount to us thereby lowering the price. I then found a coupon for 10 percent in another local magazine which I mentioned to them and they said they would send a check back to me for the additional 5 percent. However, I never did receive the check. I assumed that they will do that, but they didn't follow up as they promised.

Estimate was given the day we called to have them come look at the problem. Got a discount because of Angie's List and because we signed to have the work done on the day the estimate was done. Work was done in the estimated time frame. Initial installer didn't clean out the down spouts as promised. When we had problem with water in the basement, Dan came out and cleaned the down spouts and did some other work. My husband was impressed with his knowledge and commitment to doing the job right. The next large storm caused more water in the basement. There was no water in one area because of the new gutters and Dan's work. The water was coming from a different source. My husband called Dan and he made several helpful suggestions and recommended a company to do the new work that needs to be done. A very positive experience with the company.

They came right away and gave me an estimate which was very reasonable. They came out within the next week and performed the job very professionally. They finished the job quickly and cleaned up neatly after themselves. They did an excellent job. I was very happy with the services

Went very well. They came when promised to give us the estimate then returned when promised and completed the work in a timely manner. All personnel were polite and professional. The only negative is that I found several screws in the driveway afterwards and I am glad I did not run over them and get a flat tire. I would use these people again.

The estimate was easy to set up and the employee showed up on time. He did not appear to be in a rush and discussed all of our options. It was nearly a week later when someone called to schedule the service. I was told the day, but not the time and I had to call back to confirm a time. The workmen did a quality job putting in the downspouts but completely neglected to clean one of the gutters. I didn't realize that until later that day and I had to call a couple of times to work out having someone come back and finish the job. However, even despite some rainy weather, two workmen did show up the next day to finish the job.

James arrived at the house for an assessment and work estimate the day after we contacted the company. The work was scheduled 2 days later at our convenience and based on weather conditions. They arrived a little ahead of schedule and carried out their work efficiently and in a professional manner. 2 hours after they completed their work, there was a downpour in the neighborhood--everything tested out fine.

Overall I had a good experience with this company. Estimator was excellent. Price was reasonable. Workers were very prompt and nice. The only problem was that I was told that they would clean up and remove everything from gutter. The three b**** and rubber snake that were in the gutter were simply thrown on the ground and the dirt and muck that was sprayed from the gutter ended up on the cushions of my lawn furniture.

Dan gave us a clear written estimate. When the roofers showed up unexpectedly early one morning, Dan rushed right over and removed the covers. A couple of days later he came back, flushed the gutter system of the roofing debris, and replaced the covers. Dan's responsiveness to the "emergency" was most impressive.

Bob gave us a clear written estimate and did not waste our time in the process. The team showed up on time, worked quickly and diligently, and cleaned up well afterwards. The gutters have been on for three years now (as of today, 5/14/09) and have worked extremely well. They have not needed any cleaning in that time. It was definitely one of the best purchases we have ever made for our house. We called them back to remove the covers in 5/2009, when we had a new roof installed, since we did not want to take a chance on having the covers damaged.

They(3 or 4 guys) arrived promptly @ 9am and finished up at noon. They worked quietly removing and replacing. Excellent cleanup. No sign they had been there save for the metal Gutter Guys lawn sign they left in the front yard . None of the other companies I have used over the past year have left mini billboards so I wasn't prepared to see that. I removed it from the yard and just left it face down in the back in case it had been left bymistake and someone would return for it. Since noone ever called I assume it was an intentional action.

Excellent! They responded promptly, everyone was courteous and friendly. James called to confirm the appointment and offered to come earlier if it worked with our schedule. It didn't, though he was there waiting for us when we got home from work, right on time. We have dogs and he was friendly with them as well. He gave a fair estimate, gave us options to just do the one side, or do both for just a little more. They honored the Angie's list 5% discount after the quote was given. They said it would be about a week to get us in the schedule, but called the next day and had it done the following day while we were at work. The work was done well, AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES! (My pet peeve, see my comments on the last gutter we had installed by another company.) Not a nail, clip or trimmed off aluminum scrap to be found... and no sign of the old gutters. Easy-peezy! A very professional company. I highly recommend them.

overall, ery punctual, professional and did 4000 sq foot house for a good price in about 2 hrs. recommended gutter guard without pushing any product. left bags of debris I wish they had taken with them.

They did a very nice job. I was very pleased with them. They did a thorough job and they left no mess. They were polite. I would use them again.

They were pleasant and called back immediately. Unfortunately, they were unable to come until quite a few days after the originally discussed date due to a back up of work. They did, however call each time and apologize for the delay.

We received a timely estimate as a follow-up to our initial inquiry. After comparing prices and quality with other companies, we selected The Gutter Guys and scheduled the work for about a week to ten days later. They arrived on time and completed the work in the same day. It has only been a couple of months since but we have had no problems with the new gutters; the design and installation seems to have gone very well.

They were quick and reasonable; they did a clean and effective job. They responded to a follow up and cleaned my gutter with a bush. They gave me the bush so I would not have to get up the ladder to clean them at no charge. I am extremely pleased, and would recommend them to anyone.

The three man team knew what to do, worked quickly.
