First appointment - never showed. No phone calI. I called him and he said he got held up at another job. Rescheduled - never showed. No phone call. I'm not calling again.

Excellent. Jeremy diagnosed the problem and solution over the phone and we scheduled a time for him to come out. Over the phone he said he thought it would be somewhere between $600 and $1,000 to do the job. He and his colleague worked for about 5 and a half hours designing a pathway around my ceiling joists and drilled through the brick wall to create a vent to the outdoors. They hoisted open a stuck window to gain access to the outside airshaft and even cleaned up the air shaft, which was full of leaves and screens that had fallen from neighbors' windows. They were very polite and explained everything they were doing and cleaned up after themselves. They charged me $650 and I paid them $700 to include a tip for going out of their way (cleaning up the airshaft, dealing with complex structural issues). I actually have no idea what the market price is for this work, but it seemed like a complicated tough task requiring specialty supplies and knowledge, so I was surprised they didn't charge me more.

Swift Vents came out and replaced the dryer vent and brought the vent out through the roof. When I made the initial appointment, Jeremy was able to give a rough estimate over the phone just by asking a few questions - location of the dryer, type of hose, etc. They managed to install the new vent in very tight quarters, and did decent job cleaning up when finished. Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable. It took them about 3 and half hours to complete the project.

A real person answers their phone. They are polite and helpful. They want your business. They are professional. The person who answered my phone call knew all the right questions to ask. He even gave me an estimate over the phone so I knew about how much it would cost. The repairman came right on time and did the work just the way it was described. They charged $45 more than what was estimated on the phone. However, the estimate was sight unseen so no big deal.

It went great overall -- took less time than I expected, and I got a good outcome.

Very pleasant and prompt. Provided an accurate estimate over the phone and were able to schedule the work within a few days. Arrived promptly and seemed knowledgeable, giving explanations and recommendations. Didn't clean up dryer vent lint in the yard, though.
