From product selection through installation, everything went beautifully. The installers arrived on time and were very professional. They took great care of our furnishings and minimized the dust. We have already recommended them to our neighbors.

Renaissance Carpet personnel were professional and very responsive to my need to install carpet in condo with a very short time frame. They kept me informed of the status of the order and worked with me on a convenient delivery date. The installers did an excellent job installing the carpet and cleaning up when the job was done.

Renaissance Floor and Carpet were a delight to work with. We visited their showroom in Rockville and were delighted with the depth of knowledge and professionalism showed by their salesperson. Their salesperson came to our home with our choices of tile, carpeting and flooring and worked with us too select the exact colors and quality that we needed to enhance the decor of our home. We changed areas we wanted tiled and the carpet padding; we had a revised contract the next day. Their contract was always the one to beat. If I had any questions during my selection process of contractors or materials, my salesman answered promptly. I knew that I could always count of him giving me a straight and accurate answer. Due to work schedules and travel, we broke the installation into thirds; first the tile, then the carpet, then the hardwood flooring. Thus our upstairs was finished before we started our first floor. Renaissance informed us as to when their installers would arrive and how many days this work would take. They showed up as promised and finished on time. Their workers listen to concerns that we had before they started and added little touches that we hadn't even considered. They were very professional and took great care with our existing furnishings and home. They always cleaned up before they left for the day. Our friends who have seen their work have been greatly impressed and we continue to rave about this company and recommend them to everyone we talk to.

We have had Renaissance Floor and Carpet replace the carpet in the main floor of our house with hardwood. They have done an excellent job, right from the sales consultation to the installation and clean up. Sales consultant was excellent, no high pressure sales pitch. Provided the right amount of information for us to make the choice. Scheduling for installation also was very good. They were ready to accommodate our schedule. Installation was scheduled for two days. But they brought in more people and completed the job in one day, working almost 12 hours, which was extremely helpful for us. People who came for installation were also wonderful. They have done an excellent job, very nice and polite. They moved the furniture around very carefully and put them all back in place. We are extremely happy with the job they have done. After the installation, they took away the old carpet, and cleaned up the surroundings, even though it was already dark. Overall we are extremely happy with the project, quality of the project as well as the service. We have already recommended Renaissance Floor and Carpet to our friends and relatives.

Everything went extremely well. They did an absolute amazing job. I dealt with Amir from the beginning. He was friendly, professional, and honest. He came to my house personally to do the measurements, and to match the existing wood I have on the first level. In less than two weeks from my initial phone call he had done the measurements, ordered the flooring, and had it installed. I must say the end product was even more beautiful than I expected. Not one flaw! To top it off his price was 3k less than another company had estimated. I will definitely be using Renaissance again in the future, and would highly recommend this company to all my friends and family.

I got maple flooring done in two bedrooms and a loft. I already called few other companys and they wouldn't give me a written estimate or the drawing of my rooms unless I sign a contract with them. Bassir from Rennaisance came and he was really nice and gave me the written estimate and the worker they sent was really good. The quality of the maple was amazing. I am very happy with them and I still need more flooring done in the future. When I'm ready, I will definitely use them again. Thank you Rennaisance:)

Latif, the sales associate was very helpful and friendly. Communicated the cost upfront and the installing team was very good. They were professional and communicated the whole process. If you want a good experience at a fair price this is the place to go.

I went to the carpet showroom to discuss with Mr. Amir, the manager, my questions about carpets that resulted from my research. He answered my questions about types, materials, styles, and brands clearly, patiently, and respectfully. We also discussed my questions about how much recycled material was used in carpet manufacture and about allergic reactions to volative compounds in new carpets. Once I had chosen a set of colors and a type of carpet, he showed me examples of different weights and densities, to show the range of prices I had to decide upon. We agreed that I would take home three large samples after the first discussions, to see what they looked like on my floor. I took home a second set of samples on the second day. A staff member, Mr. Latif came to make the measurements and since I was ready to sign a contract, we agreed on a downpayment and an installation date. On the day before the agreed date of installation, I discovered a wet portion of the old carpet that indicated that there was some water seepage along the house foundation. I called Mr. Amir to request a postponement until after the source of the moisture was blocked off. It was during a period of several rainy days and the postponement worked out for everyone. The floor had to be dried out with a large fan trained on it for two days. On the next dry day, the installers, Jose and Omar, arrived promptly at 8 in the morning, and worked carefully and efficiently, moving our furniture around, laying out the carpet,and hauling the trash away. In all, it was an excellent job, and I am very satisfied with my purchase (a SHAW carpet, "Anso nylon," with R2X treatment) and with the individual people I met in the company.

This was my third time using Renaissance Carpet, which says a lot. I've worked with Amir and Bassir, and both are always completely pleasant, professional, and helpful, even when I couldn't make a decision. They maintained great communication throughout each process. I always feel comfortable that I'm getting a good price for quality carpet and workmanship. I did a ton of research before finding them, and I'm so glad I did. Without question, I will go to them for my next flooring project.

Latif was very helpful in the office helping me pick out the floor I wanted and schedule the installation. A one man crew was very punctual delivering the wood to house the week before to stabilize. The two man crew spent 5 days (8AM to 5 PM) on a Tuesday through Saturday installing the floor. They started at the top of the house and worked their way down. They used the deck to cut the boards as they progressed and put town paper walkways to protect flooring that wasn't being replaced. At the end of each day they returned everything to operational state as much as possible. They also consolidated their tools out of the way so they were ready for the next day. I stayed home to be available but the crew worked independently. It is useful to have as much of the loose items moved out of the way before the work starts.

They were all just great! Latif was so very nice and helpful. They showed up on time and were very professional and did an excellent job! I would highly recommend them!!!

This event started with dropping off wood three business days before. Came on the day as promised on time. Though they said that they might be able to finish on the same day they were not able to. It took around 3 hours the next day which is fine since they were very professional and well-behaved folks. They knew what they were doing and also explained our questions very patiently. I had seen before some other company do work for my neighbor and this service way better. On the first day at the time of leaving they cleaned the whole work area and made sure they did not leave any nails or anything sharp this is very important because we have a 4 years old at home and he is a handful. All in all I am impressed with their work and attitude. Kudos renaissance team.

Installers arrived promptly at 8:00 and worked non-stop until they were finished. They previewed the area and estimated moving times and spaces for existing furniture. They worked efficiently, going down to the van for more supplies only when they had a full load to take down and were ready to bring back the new pad and carpet. There were a few pieces of furniture that were quite large and the two workers were flexible enough in how they were shifted to allow for installation around them.

The job last two days. The installer did a very good job and pay attention to details. I'm very happy with the workmanship and will call them again for my next project.

It was great. This new floor looks so great! Great choices, value and rapid installation. Cleaned up after well too. I would hight recommend this flooring company for their exacting personal service--so good to work with!

Once again I'm very happy with the work that was done. The bathroom has been totally transformed. The new tile that was done on the main floor also looks beautiful. The workers showed up on time and kept me updated on the progress. Once everything was complete they completely cleaned up the areas of the house that they were working in. I've used Renaissance multiple times over the last few years. They've also installed new carpet and hardwood floors and I have always been more than happy with the work that was done. I look forward to working with them again in the future. I highly recommend them.

Laying new flooring in a fully furnished area where people are still living is complicated. Much time is spent moving things around---from one side of a room to the other or even to another room. Nevertheless, everything went more smoothly than we anticipated and we are extremely pleased. Our salesman, Bassir, brought samples of hardwood flooring to our condo and explained pros and cons of different options. There was a slight delay in the shipping of the flooring, but we didn't mind that at all. In fact, it worked out better with our own schedule.. This company hires and trains their own personnel to lay their products rather than subcontracting the work. The two brothers, Francisco and Amada, who laid our flooring were great! We were so impressed with how carefully they protected both our furniture and the new flooring, taking extra precautions and keeping things clean as they worked. They were really skilled at moving my huge (7' tall x 6' wide) heavy desk, our large refrigerator, the stove, etc. They worked conscientiously, with few breaks. They covered our small outdoor balcony where they sawed the pieces of flooring, with pieces of the removed carpeting, making it easy to capture the sawdust and saving time in the final cleanup. Work that is done carefully, efficiently, skillfully and safely---what more can you ask for? As for price, some might consider our cost to be unduly high. We are satisfied that we got a good-quality product installed by well-trained professionals. And, we got a 5% discount for being members of Angies list!

The showroom had a broad selection of carpets to choose from, and the salesperson helped guide us. It was easy to place the order. They offered to call me when the carpet was in, as it happened I had to follow up with them instead, however all the other communication was quite responsive. The installer showed up on time. He mentioned that a few pieces of the movable furniture had rotten wood at the base (due to water damage, which we knew about) and suggested putting extra pieces of carpet underneath them to protect the new carpet. We thought that was a very good idea. They took away all the trash and left the rooms clean. For the fixed pieces and unusual parts of the rooms, the carpet was trimmed perfectly, nor can I see any join marks. We've been living with the new carpet for a month so I would have spotted errors by now.

From estimate through completion of the project this was a positive experience. We have worked with this company about five years ago to install carpet and had the same experience. Price was very competitive. Installation crew was excellent. They were courteous, precise, and always cleaned up after the job each day. Overall quality of installation was excellent, they clearly want to do a high quality job. There was some minor drywall damage which was quickly addressed with no problems. Would highly recommend.

Extremely impressed with Amir and his crew. Amir came out and showed and explained all the possible options for my basement flooring. He provide good information and did not try to sell me something more than what I wanted. We chose to install laminate floors by Armstrong and Amir was very helpful in selecting a nice piece of carpet to replace the carpet on the stairs. His two men came out a few days before our scheduled installation to deliver the floors. The day of the installation, they removed the old carpet and went to work to install. It took 2 days for the installation and it went very well. They did a beautiful job with the installation and were clean. It really was effortless and I can't say enough how impressed we were with the quality, professionalism, and customer service provided. After the great installation, we had an incident where our landscape folks who were fixing our patio gradation, ended up getting water into our basement and under our brand new floor installation. I called Amir right away and he had his guys come first thing in the morning to assess. Needless to say, we will have to fix and/or reinstall but Amir was great with his response. I highly recommend Amir and Renaissance Floors and will definitely be using them for our future flooring needs.

He was knowledgeable about the types of padding and provided advice to guide my selection. Installation was scheduled for 11/9/13 at 11 AM. When the installers had not arrived by noon, I called the store and found out that they were running late. Walter & Alfonso arrived at 12:20 PM, moved some furniture, and lifted the existing carpet. They installed the padding purchased and put my carpet back. As requested, they trimmed a door, so that it would swing easily. I received a 5% discount for being a member of Angie's List.

The entire process from meeting the salesman at the store to the installation of the flooring in our family room was wonderful. The salesman understood exactly what we were looking for and showed us several examples that met our requirements; he did not try to upsell us. This in itself was unlike the other flooring places we had visited. The flooring came in when they said it would, the crew was exactly on time for the installation and the men were polite, quiet, considerate and quick. The work was finished far sooner than I expected and looked great.

Overall, things went well. Latif came out to do an estimate to install new flooring. He was very punctual, and he thoroughly took measurements and explained the process. He left with me feeling like I could trust the company and he wasn't trying to sneak extra material charges, etc. into the quote that I would be unlikely to catch (although at this point I'd had two other quotes and had a very good idea of what would be needed so I would know if someone wasn't being forthcoming). Amir and Latif followed up the next day, and this was likely a contributing factor as to why we selected them -- they were friendly, professional, and eager to earn my business. Their quote was also very competitive with other companies that also had very good reviews on this site. I decided to have Renaissance do the work, and a time was scheduled to drop off the material and start working. The gentlemen dropped off the material right on time. Regarding the start of work, unfortunately we had a significant amount of snow the day before, and I knew there would be a chance that this could affect the schedule. This was one of two areas that issues arose when working with Renaissance. I called to confirm that the workers would still be doing the job the following day and was told "yes," but I was assured that if anything changed I would receive a call. I got no call and I worked from home the next day thinking I would be having workers in my house starting at 8:00am. By 10:00am, there were no workers and I called the main office to inquire. I finally reached someone when the office opened at 11:00am, and it turns out that the job had been postponed but they forgot to call and inform me. The lack of communication was obviously frustrating since I could have very well have taken off work assuming that the job would be completed that day and also because I'd moved all the small items out of the room the day before (we have a baby, this was not an insignificant amount of stuff), but we got everything rescheduled. However, we again had another issue with communication. I initially agreed to reschedule for a Saturday, but 30 minutes later I called the office and requested the work be done Friday. I was told this was fine, and it would be added to the schedule. I called the office Thursday night to confirm that work would be done Friday and was told that I was still scheduled for Saturday because the change in time had not been communicated to the scheduler. This being the second time that a big failure in communication had occurred, I was a bit upset. However, Amir handled it well and got me rescheduled for Friday. The team showed up promptly on Friday morning, moved the furniture, removed the carpet and got to work. They finished that afternoon and everything looks great. So in summary, if there was a grade for communication, I'd rate Renaissance a "C" for this job. However, the price was still good; the quality of work was high; and Amir, Latif, and the install team were pleasant to deal with. We had a bit of an unusual circumstance with the weather during this job, and the issues that arose wouldn't preclude me from working with Renaissance again.

Renaissance and Amir are the best. I have dealt with many contractors, and this company is the gold standard for quality. Not only are the prices competitive, but Amir does not "nickle and dime" you. Many things that are usually extras with flooring companies are included. My only complaint is that I wish Renaissance did more than just flooring. I would not hesitate to hire Amir for all of my home renovation needs. It is deflating to have to work with other companies after experiencing the best.

Amir the owner came out and gave me an estimate the following morning after I contacted him. His responsiveness was great and he stuck to the estimate that he gave me. The workers worked till the minute they got here until the end of the day. The overall experience was great and I was very satisfied with the end result.
