Our hardwood selection and installation was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Latif, (our salesperson) took his time and gave us all the time we needed to understand the entire process and comparisons of different products they offer. Large samples of the products were given to us to take home in order to really be able to make a confident final decision. Jose was onsite to oversee the removal of carpet and installation of our new hardwood floors. Rennaissance Floor & Carpet has done a great job in not only finding polite, punctual, talented employees, but more importantly retaining them! My entire family is absolutely thrilled with our new hardwood floors, including our Labrador Retriever who is very active and hasn't left a mark with those busy toenails!

The crew arrived early and started working just before 8 a.m. they worked solidly all day non-stop. An amazing work ethic and we were very impressed. There was a lot of hardwood to put down but they took it in their stride. They took great care with everything and even put down the old carpet on our back deck to protect it while they cut the hardwood out there, and there was a lot of hardwood to be cut! After they had finished in the evening they put all the furniture back and asked us to go and inspect it all before they left. We were delighted with the result and will definitely be using them again:~) When you are spending a lot of money on improvements you need to trust that a good job will be done and top quality materials will be used. Wonderful experience. We have a very difficult condo association approval process for flooring installation regarding sound abatement. Bassir provided a lot of information and was very patient through the six week process. Delivery and installation happened on schedule. The installers were very thorough and clean. Extremely pleased with the result.

This was one of my best interactions with a service provider. Bassir patiently worked with me for almost 1 month to help me select wood floors for a 3 level townhouse. He was patient and he never once pressured me to make a decision. In contrast, the sales people at another establishment down the street grew impatient (after 10 minutes) and they wanted me to make a quick decision. After this experience, I immediately returned back to RENAISSANCE Floor and Carpet. While I was in the store, I met another lady who was trying to decide on her wood selection for over a month. We both stated that the "Rennaissance guys had the patience of saints". When the carpeting was removed from my upstairs steps accidently by another contractor, Bassir offered to replace this area with hardwood at no profit to the company. The work was done at cost simply to enhance the customer experience. I appreciate that Bassir worked with me on the pricing knowing that my budget was very tight. Overall, the service was excellent from the sales process to the close of the sales. The installers were dilligent and quality focused. The project was completed ahead of schedule. It was a pleasure working with Bassir and his team. I highly recommend Renaissance Floor and Carpet to all.

I have a installation date of October 24,2015.

Nothing happened because they failed to establish any times/dates after speaking with them and trying to get them out for a consultation. We wanted to see samples and the company never really responded. Never followed up!!

Professional in all respects. Working with the Renaissance team was a pleasure.

They did an excellent job. They were prompt, took out the old stuff, even cleaned the flooring after that before putting in the new padding and new carpet. The room is transformed.

Latif was our main contact. He was professional, not pushy, did not try to sell us anything and he was very friendly. We called him several times with questions and he always replied promptly. He was a joy to work with. Jose and his colleague installed the floor. They arrived on time and got immediately to work. Jose spoke fine English. I have never seen 2 men work so hard all day long. They were a real team. Be forewarned - installing flooring is very noisy. They finished four bedrooms plus closets, living room, dining room, office and stairway in 4 long days. To my eye, the quality of the Bruce hard wood flooring and their work was outstanding. I have not seen floors installed by other companies. They solved all the squeaks in the subflooring and steps that I pointed out before installing the new flooring. Waiting to see if new squeaks show up. Overall we had a very positive experience with Latif, Jose and his colleague as well as Renaissance Flooring.

My recommendation is actually positive despite (maybe because of) the problems I discuss below. The project was re-flooring a kitchen, mudroom, powder room, hallway, and foyer during a kitchen renovation. In May 2015, we received quotes from several flooring companies for the project, all well reviewed on several sites (not just AL), and Renaissance fell squarely in the competitive price range; we picked them mainly because they carried the specific product we wanted, and didn't use off-putting sales tactics. We signed the contract June 2, stressing the fact that we needed to coordinate the flooring installation with the rest of the renovation: (1) the kitchen contractor would demolish the old floor and put in a new subfloor, (2) the contractor would install cabinets & countertops, (3) Renaissance would lay the new flooring, and (4) the appliances would go in on the new floor, along with the final plumbing and electrical work. Apart from cosmetic items, the kitchen was originally scheduled to be done by July 10, but had to be done by August 7, which was not movable. Renaissance said that they would call within a few days to schedule installation, which would probably be about 2 weeks after we signed the contract. A week after signing the contract, we had not yet been called. On inquiring, we learned the product we selected turned out to have been back-ordered, and Renaissance was delaying scheduling the installation until they were certain they would have the product in hand -- a reasonable and wise choice, as the manufacturer delayed delivery five times, for about 7-8 weeks all together. Fortunately, that delay did not cause problems, as the kitchen contractor also experienced delays (of course) and we were prepared for all of that, but it chewed up our safety margin. Finally, we set installation for Friday July 31. About a week before then, I called Renaissance to suggest they send someone to look at the new subfloor to make sure it was sufficient. I was told (not sure by whom) that visiting was not necessary as they could work with any competently installed subfloor. On the day of the installation, as the very first tiles went down, we saw a problem: the subfloor, while up to code, was not thick enough for the product we picked to line up to the flooring in neighboring rooms. Technically, that wasn't necessarily a barrier to installing the floor, as they could put in transitions to reduce the tripping hazard, but the height difference was enough to leave a gap to the doorjambs too large to caulk or patch invisibly, such that either we needed a thicker subfloor or else the custom trim on 13 doorways would have to be rebuilt. Had Renaissance sent someone to evaluate the subfloor when I called, the kitchen contractor could have fixed it, but by the install date it was too late, and the problem now threatened too hold up the entire project past our deadline. I did not get to talk with Amir, but I did speak with his associate Latif (apologies if I am misspelling his name) about the problem. He rearranged the work crews so that starting on Monday, the new crew would put down additional plywood and finish the installation by Tuesday; due to the miscommunication, we would only be charged the cost of the extra materials. The installation would start in the kitchen and move outward, so that the contractor could work around the Renaissance crew. Latif personally visited the site on Tuesday, noticed that although the Friday crew had left the tile at our house, they had left no shoe molding and not enough underlayment, and the Monday/Tuesday crew hadn't brought any, so he quickly arranged for someone to bring more -- even if it meant closing the store to do it. The day after the installation was complete (and final bill already paid), Latif called me to find out if I was still satisfied with the product and installation. We love our new floor, it feels and looks great -- exactly what we wanted. The installation crews showed up approximately during the scheduled arrival windows, worked hard, stayed late, appeared (to my un-expert eye) as efficient and skilled, and were courteous throughout. My one big criticism is that Amir or Latif should have been much more proactive in calling to update us on the situation, even without having good news to tell; a few times we felt left in the dark, which is worse than being told there is a problem. That said, and although the process was very stressful, the ultimate service made up for it. I would hire them again.

The salesman, Latif, was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful in guiding us to the best product and installation to meet our needs. The installers were punctual, efficient and skilled. The price was better than we could find elsewhere and the quality and overall experience were tops. Latif followed every step of the process to ensure everything went well, and even followed up several months later to make sure we were still happy with everything. We highly recommend Renaissance.

Every aspect of this job was superb starting with the friendly and helpful service of the person who sold us the job and continuing to the craftsman who installed it. The person we dealt with was not merely a salesman, he took full responsibility for the progress of the work talking with us about it on an almost daily basis as the job proceeded. We feel like we have acquired a new friend. They delivered the specially prepared wood in advance of the job. Individual pieces were crafted in advance to fit our landings and space. They took care that our subfloor was correct and adjusted it where needed. Once the floor was in, they installed molding at the transitions from room to room and around the edges of the rooms. The product they used was first class and the workmanship matched it. The workers absolutely went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied and that the job was done to a high standard. The craftsmen are hardworking and very helpful. They moved our furniture, installed the hardwood floor and moved everything back. They took care to clean up after the job. Our townhouse was newly painted and they made sure to take care not to spoil the walls. The job was done during the recent snow storm. They set up a workspace on our deck -- outside-- and covered the entire space with a tarp so that they could do the cutting outside and thereby limit the dust in our home. They removed the old carpet and took it away. They also provided many extras. For example, before the job was completed, they put felt pads under each piece of furniture so that it would not scuff the floors and would be easy to move. On top of that, each person working on this job had a very positive attitude and was very friendly. They obviously wanted the work a lot and acted as if it was a reward to work for us. The results are simply beautiful. We now feel like we are living in a new house. In short, they not only installed a new floor but delivered a work of art. My wife and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new floor.

We went with Renaissance Flooring because of all the great reviews on Angie's List. Working with Bassir was good from the start- he opened the store on a Sunday for us, was very knowledgeable and responsive, and took our requests for frequent communication seriously. The management clearly values customer service and we appreciated everything they did to make sure we had a satisfactory experience, including touch up work and final walk throughs with the management team.

They had a bit of a delay when they ordered the tile- and for some reason it did not arrive in time and my project was pushed back, which was frustrating, but the job was done well and the installer was great. Worked cleanly and efficiently.

The carpeting was a breeze. Two people arrived with the carpet and padding about 8:30 AM. They worked all day into the early evening, to complete the job and remove the old carpet which they disposed of for no additional charge. The carpet is exactly what I expected, and they handled a huge wall unit which had to be disassembled and moved to carpet beneath it like pros.I expected it to take 1& 1/2 days, but they finished in one and moved all of the furniture. The wood flooring was a more complex task. First all of the furniture had to be moved off the floor into the garage. Next Plastic had to be put up to cover critical areas like the kitchen counters, cabinets, & fireplace. Then the floors had to be completely sanded both by machine or by hand depending upon space. This took the first day. Day two was the first coat of stain. Day three was the second coat of stain. Day four was the poly coating and sealer. When that was dry they were then able to move all of the furniture back. The floor looks like a museum. I could not be more pleased. They exceeded my expectations. I would use them again and recommend them highly.

My entire experience with Renaissance Floor and Carpet was excellent. Latif was the sales manager, and provided good advice on selecting the tile. Renaissance's price for our job was less than that estimated by several other stores. The installers arrived early on the scheduled day, and completed the job very efficiently in less than two days. Communication with Latif and the installers was prompt. Our kitchen floor looks great, and I plan to use Renaissance the next time we need flooring in our home.

From start to finish, my experience with Renaissance was very positive. The service tech, DeJuan, arrived on time and worked quickly and professionally. The sofa has never worked better and I plan to use them again in the future as well as recommend them to friends and neighbors. Great service at a great price!
