Description of Work: I used Carpet and Floor Express to have DuraCeramic tile installed in my kitchen. The price I got was very competitive. I worked with Tony. I just love the tile and the way my kitchen now looks with it. It took quite a while for the tiles to come in, which was surprising to me. I honestly thought I was getting a runaround. The installer worked with me to make some changes that worked out quite well. I would have given the overall rating an A, but the installer had to return to correct the lifting of two slivers of tile right underneath the threshold into the room. That was taken care of immediately when I showed Tony the picture of what had happened.

Description of Work: They installed some laminate flooring for us as well as some carpet. The laminate was great, the carpeting installation was not as impressive. They actually had to come back out and adjust the carpet as they did a hasty job on it in the first place. Not sure if I would ever use them again for carpet.

Description of Work: ordered wall to wall carpet in living, dining, stairs, hallway. They arrived on time, were knowledgeable and pleasant, and completed the job efficiently. Really like the new carpet. Selection, pricing, ordering, and installation were all smooth and easy. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Purchased a carpet to be bound as a rug. Finished and installed by seller personnel including furniture move back. Excellent overall. Good sample selection. Good pricing. Scheduling to suit our needs. Pleasant installers. Happy to recommend.

Description of Work: Provided basement carpeting, including stairwell. Mis-measured largest area but made good on fix, which was handled in a professional manner. Contract installers were excellent.

Description of Work: Replaced carpet pad and reinstalled carpet after flooding damage required the original pad to be replaced. I was most impressed when the technician first arrived and critiqued the job Stanley Steemer had done in removing all the water in the first place - they hadn't effectively completed the job. The technician recommended I have Stanley Steemer come back and finish their job before they got started, which I did.

Description of Work: I wanted my stairs from the main floor to the second floor carpeted. I have a traditional center hall Colonial, so the stairs are the first thing you see upon entering my house. I telephoned and was happy to see that Carpet and Floor Express was open late on Saturday. The owner was very helpful, and even though the selection of runners was limited, I found carpet that I liked. The installers came within a week and did a great job. The stairs look fine.

Description of Work: No worries here. After visiting several carpet stores we consulted Angie's list and came to carpet express. Tony listened to what we wanted and helped us pick out a carpet that fit our needs. He didn't try to upsell us. He also arranged to have the carpet delivered early as we were waiting for installation to move into our house. His crew arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job on the install. The cost came out right at the estimate.

Description of Work: I had an addition built off my family room as a sun room and decided that we would carpet it instead of going with tile or hardwood. I also had a runner put up my hardwood stairs (I have hardwood throughout) so that our dog could go up and down more easily, not to mention we could too. I used Tony because he carpeted my basement and did a beautiful job. I couldn't be more please with the customer service and the expertise of the carpet installers. Tony was a big help in picking out just the right carpet for me since I have 3 cats and a dog. It was a wonderful working with Tony and I have now decided that I want to have a rug made to go under my coffee table in the new addition and will have Tony do it for me. I can't say enough good things about this company. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable about their products and will steer you in the right direction if you are unsure about what you need. I have already given their name out to several friends so I hope they will call them.

Description of Work: Great experience from the moment I entered the store on Rockville Pike until the crew left after installing new carpet throughout my condo. Tony was great in suggesting carpeting suitable for the residence (absolutely no effort to push higher cost selection), afforded the discount for Angie's list membership, and went out of his way to be accommodating regarding the installation schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family or friends or to use them in the future!

Description of Work: In short, they're great, and I highly recommend using them. I was moving to DC from out of state and thought I'd go to Carpet Express based on the Angie's List reviews. I am very happy I did! I visited the showroom, had help picking out carpet for my basement and a bedroom, and found them to be punctual with the site visit and installation. They gave me the Angie's List discount, treated me with respect, and delivered on everything they said they would do. They removed old carpet and installed new wall-to-wall barber as well as delivering a bound carpet for a child's bedroom. They gave me off cuts for my utility room too. I plan on using them again in the future!

Description of Work: How can this company say they do carpet repair if they state you have to buy the carpet from them! I'm guessing they think they can match my existing carpet exactly?! Need to change it to state they install carpet and remove the REPAIR!

Description of Work: Called the company on April 18 and an estimator came on April 19 with a good selection of the type carpet I specified (medium quality/price). I made my selection and the installers came at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 to install my carpet selection. They worked for nine hours with just a short break at noon. They installed the carpet at my townhouse in the living/dining area, in the downstairs hall and the upstairs hall, the stairs and in three bedrooms. They were very good professionals. They cleaned everything up and left my townhouse looking great!

Description of Work: Tony has been my go to flooring guy for 10+ years. As a rental property owner I have used him to replace carpet in my homes, sometimes with carpet and sometimes with laminate flooring. He is a no nonsense professional, he knows what I am looking for and is able to match the carpet to the clientele I am trying to attract while keeping the price in-line with my budget. Tony consistently meets my expectations in terms of installation timelines and is willing to work with me when need be to accomodate other contractors. He has also installed carpet in my personal residence.

Description of Work: We needed new carpet in the basement of our rental home. I contacted company, they were prompt in sending out someone to measure basement, after we decided on a carpet and price they were able to put it in within 3 days of our initial conversation. They were fast, professional and fair. I would recommend them. I am still waiting now over 7 days to get a response from a heating and air conditioning company I contacted regarding a new home air conditioning unit. They haven't returned my emails or calls. I am glad to recommend someone dependable.

Description of Work: We came in late on Saturday. We had discussed what kind of carpet we wanted. That was what Tony presented as the best all-round value. He had us look at different weights and patterns in the carpet etc. So we knew he was really thorough in finding out what kind of environment we had in the home. Then, he said he'd had no business that day so he would cut the price below the sale that was going. Jeff put down a 50% deposit and arranged that Tony would visit his house with color selections because Tony felt that colors should be selected in the light at home. This took within a few days of our visit to the showroom. The estimate came out higher than we expected; but the price was so good that it did not have much of an impact. The installers are coming in the morning to do the whole house.
