AG Floors

Both Carlos and Edgar were great - showed up on time, solved all problems with building maintenance, were patient and professional. The floors look great. Yasmin provided very good office support. The company could have shown me, however, more choices of hardwood samples - they only showed 3 samples of engineered wood. I could have picked something different if I had more choices. Overall, I am very pleased with their service.

Floor refinishing was never completed.

The crew and office staff were responsive, always on-time, fair in price, and delivered exceptional service. I don't usually give praise, but this company did a phenomenal job. My floors are beautiful and it was a pleasure working with them.

AG Floors did not give us the lowest bid, but they won our job because of their excellent and responsive customer service. Honestly, we had no idea what was entailed in a job like this, and they patiently answered all of our questions. They were responsive and flexible in visiting our house to give an estimate, and the team doing the installation were prompt and did the whole job in one day. There were a few details they missed (forgot to stain the bull nose on the landing), but the company sent someone out immediately to take care of the few outstanding issues.

After getting an estimate, I really liked the pricing (more affordable than another company I got an estimate from) and the person doing the estimate. I just became the owner of a 1920s row house in dc with termite damage. They helped me figure out which floor boards to replace and were very helpful and friendly. I have original wood floors, and the previous owners did not keep up with the care of the home. My floors had lots of stains and ware and tare, but after ag floors finished with my floors I could not be any happier. I went with a darker finish (to cover up the imperfections in the floors) and they look amazing. Im really happy with the service they provided and their friendly and helpful staff. I kept calling them to ask for advice and questions and they were always helpful and patience with me. I would highly recommend AG floors!

Sam came out to give me the estimate. I was very impressed with his professionalism and how complete he was. When the crew came out for the scheduled appointment, they showed up on time and they carefully moved the furniture, which had to be moved downstairs! They set up plastic barriers to minimize any dust or debris, which I appreciate! They had the proper equipment and were able to close the doors and hang the plastic appropriately. They removed the carpeting and refinished the floor. They put 2 coats on the floor and they finished very quickly! They worked efficiently and were very thorough. They started at 8am and finished by 8pm. By 11pm, we were able to walk on the floors. In the middle of the day, Sam dropped by to make sure we were happy and to answer any questions we had. The next morning, they came to move the furniture back upstairs. I would definitely use them again for any other flooring projects I may have in the future!

The installation was quick and of high quality. We particularly like the bamboo floors recommended by the company.

AG Floors is fantastic! From the beginning, they were a pleasure to work with. We had the estimate done a few months prior to the job, and the entire team was communicative and professional throughout the process. AG Floors estimate came in at half what a big-name company wanted to charge - very reasonable. When the project began, the office manager (Evelin) communicated with me multiple times a day and was very helpful. The crew at the house did an amazing job, they were efficient and professional - so glad I took his advice on the stain color. We are THRILLED with our new floors and will definitely use AG Floors for future projects.

It went great. The guys showed up at the approximate time given and the one day they were stuck in traffic, they called to say they were several minutes away. I was very pleased with the floors and they way in which they worked. They took the time to provide me several colors on the floor for me to select from before starting and also took special care to make sure the plastic was up to protect whatever needed protecting. My only con is: My husband accidently made a scratch moving a piece of furniture into place in the dinning room after the floor dried (the dining room was stained on May 15-16). They workers restained the scratch area during the 2nd phrase (May 19-20) but did let us know and/or mark the area off so when we came home from work, we walked on the wet stained area. We were charged another $125 for them to come back out. When the worker (Jorge) returned he apologized for (1) not letting us know the spot was wet or cordon off the area. In my opinon, since we were not notified that the area was wet, I don't think we should've been charged the additional money

This is my second time using AG Floors - and this is my second amazing experience. They are professional, they call every step of the way to keep you updated on when they will arrive, how the work is going, when they will be finished etc. They do amazing work and their estimates are always spot on. They are friendly to work with and flexible. They seem to try their hardest to accommodate your schedule/move/timing. If you need hardwood installation, or need floor refinishing you would miss out by not contacting them. I will be loyal to them in every house after seeing the quality of work they do. In my last home I had a very short time frame to have old floors ripped out and all new floors installed - they worked a miracle and the quality was perfect. I did not even ask other companies to bid on this job this time around - that is how confident I am in their service.

They were quick, easy to work with, and did a great job.This was the second job that they have done for us.

We got estimates from three companies and they were the lowest cost by $700-1500. Ordinarily I would have been concerned about that since I believe you get what you pay for. If they had not been rated so highly on Angie's List it might have been a red flag. I found out that two friends also used AG Floors and hired them. The floors look beautiful!! The two men were at my house for two days, alone since I had other things to do, and updated me by cell phone as to their progress and when I could return home. I would highly recommend AG Floors!

From start to finish--initial quote to final inspection by Mr. Angel, they were A+. They provided us information on what to expect and how to prepare our home and affected rooms for the work, they called each day to see how it was going and to arrange for the next day's work, guided us on the do's and don'ts while the work was progressing, and then gave us instructions on the care and maintenance of our new flooring. Bought a town house, and decided to rip up the old carpet and found hard wood floors below. decided to restore the floor and replace the rotten boards. These AG Floors, gave the best estimate, were most responsive, friendly customer service and the worker they sent out they sent out to do the wok were excellent and very friendly.

We recently renovated our home in Bethesda and were not happy with our builder's floor recommendation. I actually joined Angie's List to peruse options and this is how I found AG. Simply put, I am blown away by this company. Evelyn was my first contact there. We were under time pressure to get someone to start the project. Within 24 hours of my call to Evelyn, our rep Yasmin Caragena arrived and gave us a very competitive proposal on the spot. They started work within 72 hours and color matched a cabinet stain that I wanted for the floors. The team of two workers was punctual, polite, very enthusiastic about the work and did an absolutely PERFECT job. We have had to have a couple changes made (due to our choice, no errors on their part), and the crew has been at our house within 48-24 hours of my phone calls. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I have already referred them to two other friends who were equally impressed with the quality, price and professionalism of AG's operation. Hire them. You will NOT be disappointed.

From start to finish, working with AG was a pleasure. They gave us a timely quote, great pricing, and were responsive when we called them back to patch and finish a couple of minor nicks they'd missed the first time around, rushing over within an hour to get it done. Our floors look great. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend AG Floors. I was out of town while the work was being done, but the process was smooth and completed on time. They were a bit concerned about one section of our floors - a dining room with an "engineered" floor. Despite my concern, and theirs, they managed to refinish it so it looks better than it did new! I love my new floors, and hope to have them refinish the upstairs floors, as well.

We requested an appointment for an in-home estimate and received a response by the next day. We had an appointment within a week. Yazmin came timely and expertly took measurements. She gave us a written estimate on the spot. At the end, we went with AG Floors because they promptly and completely answered all of our follow-up questions after the initial visit and they were the lowest estimate of three which we received. They also had an Angie's List coupon which was applied to the job. Since we were extended our hardwood into the kitchen, we were concerned about matching the current hardwood with the installed hardwood. As we were getting estimates, we had different contractors telling us different things. Yazmin said our current floors were white oak, while another contactor said it was red and white oak with knots (which would have cost more). We told our concern to AG Floors and they scheduled another in-home visit with floor samples. Samuel was super friendly and answered all of our questions. After reviewing the floor samples, it was apparent that our current hardwood floors were white oak. Samuel also gave us the brochure of Minwax stain samples. We selected two walnut stains to sample, and he suggested the provencial which he though we'd like. We ended up choosing the one he suggested after AG Floors came for a third visit to show us the stains and drop off the hardwood. The workers on this third visit were professional, efficient and polite. We were not at home during the three-day installation and resurfacing work. However, we received frequent updates from Evelin. Overall, the work was expertly done and we are very happy with our floors!

They did an excellent job. Every task was scheduled in advance and the workmen showed up promptly. They completed the work as scheduled and did a very professional job in all aspects. We are completely satisfied with the cost and the resulting floors which look great. We definitely recommend them to anyone needing refinishing work or new flooring installation. Things could not have gone better.

Their offer was really good and were finished in 2 days. Smell was a little strong.

This was an extremely wonderful experience. The company exceeded my expectations for refinishing my hardwood floors. The floor in the living room and one bedroom had dark spots in the wood which they were able to completely remove. I had a concern that the old wood floors would not match the new laminate floors that were being installed in the family room. However, was I WRONG!!!!!. They were able to sand the floors to no color and match the new and old floors perfectly. Everyone I dealt with in the company was professional, courtesy, knowledgeable and worked with me to give me the best price possible for the work that needed to be done. They also, gave me their professional advise on whether I should use hardwood flooring or laminate on a concrete floor. This too was very helpful for my husband and I too make the best decision for the floor.

They arrived on time. They worked hard all day and were able to finish in one day, which meant that they had to work overtime. The flooring looks excellent, even now, which is a year and a half later.

They did a very good job. They were incredibly neat and clean. They took off their shoes and swept and cleaned. I’m very happy with them. Their professionalism and cleanliness stood out to me. I'm really pleased with them.

The experience was fine. I choose them because I knew what to expect form the reviews I read. The house was completely empty when they did the work, which made it easier for them. They were professional and on time. They were advised to wrap a bag around the fire alarm so the saw dust would not get inside it and activate the alarm and they did. Overall, I was pleased with the work and the price was very reasonable.
