Description of Work: Had a service technician come to perform a diagnostic evaluation of our Heat Pump system, fulfilling the Angie's List deal I had purchased for this purpose. Our Heat Pump had been running on auxiliary heat for a few days, and we did not know the root cause. The technician and his assistant couldn't get the compressor unit started, so they first installed a super boost on it temporarily; they then informed me that my system was operating without any Freon in it and offered a $236 test to determine where in the system the leak was. In discussing with the technician the age of our system (13yrs), and the likelihood of the leak being in the coils vs somewhere in the line, he thought it extremely unlikely for it to be anywhere other than the coils. He estimated replacing the coils at $2k-3k, and said even after that point, there could be issue with the compressor that subsequently needs to be repaired (possibly another $2k). We determined that it was in our best interest to invest that money in a new system rather than repairing an aging system. He was very honest in explaining that there are many different brands out there (we formerly had TRANE) and that he recommended taking an evening or two to do our research and call them if we'd like to provide an estimate (they are a Lennox dealer). We ultimately decided to install a Carrier unit, so we utilized a different company for the purchase & installation of our new heat pump system. However, I wouldn't hesitate to use this company for maintenance if we needed to in the future (once our service warranty with the new unit expires).

Description of Work: I purchased X number of hours of plumbing. However, anything other than looking at pipes had an additional cost. The tech determined that in order to solve the problem he needed to remove the toilet and that was an extra charge. I also asked about a leaky on/off handle and was told that to replace that would be over $500 additional fee. He did other work and it was fine, I was just surprised at the additional costs.

Description of Work: The plumber did a decent job but he suggested that we needed to replace a pipe that would cost anywhere from $3000-$8000. Got a second opinion and they suggested a $10 bottle ever couple months and we have not see any issues since.

Description of Work: Steve from Air, Plumbing and Heating Solutions came by and replaced flappers in two toilets and I was so pleased that I had him order all new pieces for my shower and tub in chrome. He came back and installed them and I was very pleased with the service and the price. Steve was so personable and helpful. I will definitely call them again with any plumbing needs. |

Description of Work: There was a strange smell blowing in through our heating system. We purchased a check-up through Angie's List and found them to be thorough, professional, AND honest. No additional fees...the furnace is only 3 years old, was checked and was fine - just a new filter smell !
