Mr. Squires was out for an estimate the evening I phoned. Had some good ideas to make the old outlines of the drive more appealing. I asked him to put a raised area at the top of the hill where the parking area meets the start of the driveway down slope to direct water flow and to remove an old asphalt walk. He offered to tie in some stairs and ramps as well as neaten up the entry to the road. They had another job in the neighborhood the next day so wanted to start immediately so I could not arrange a day off, but Mr Squire offered to photograph the job's progress if I wished so we could see he did all he said he would do. The parking area just needed re-coating, but the hilly driveway was all broken up and cracked with sags in the asphalt at the top and a patched lead to the road. He put down heavy layers of asphalt to build it up then a final layer to link the 2 halves together. The final product was beautiful. Neatly edged, everything we asked for completed, no sagging at the steep little bit at the top of the hill and much thicker than the original. The top of the drive was heavily dusted with stone dust so we could drive on it without damaging the new surface. I waited 2 months for the dust to wash away with the rains before posting this so I could properly see the job beneath. My only complaint was that about halfway up the driveway mid point there is an area where the top layer of asphalt was not completely rolled smooth into the other section leaving a small humped line that is visible and can be felt when driving over it. I have not spoken to Mr.Squires about it and my husband does not mind it, so perhaps I am being picky. Best of all there was very little mess left behind. Mr. Squires JR came the night after the job was completed to collect payment. Yes, COLLECT PAYMENT AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE, no down payment, no deposit, they did the job with only our word that we would pay them when it was completed. Who does that these days?! There is a one year guarantee on the work. They have no internet foot print, you have to phone but they are the only ones I called who called back and I phoned 5 different paving companies. Very easy to work with, did what they said they would do, cleaned up after themselves, kept to their quote, and take pride in their work. I have faith if I do have a problem this first year that the warranty will be honored.

THEY WERE REALLY GOOD. THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO, THEY WERE REASONABLY PRICED, AND THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I HAD SOME MAJOR HOLES NEAR THE CITY ROAD BECAUSE OF SNOW REMOVAL, WEAR AND TEAR, AND THEY TOOK CARE OF ALL OF IT.
