The men arrived on time and were very professional. They got the job done quickly and we were pleased with how it turned out. We will definitely use them in the future for other projects.

There were complexities in installing the dimmer switch, so a second appointment was needed. As far as the recessed lights are concerned, they were installed on the first appointment. Generally, there were no problems although recently I have had to spackle a few small holes, sand them down, and repaint over the spackle.

They had one of his guys here within the hour. It turned out to be a very serious problem with the power coming from the pole. He thoroughly checked it out, isolated the problem and then sat with me while I waited for BGE to come. When BGE arrived, they agreed and told me I was lucky that it didn't start a fire. As a single mom, I was so happy to know I could call Bailey & Shipp and get the help I needed, quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a small project or a big one!

Overall this company does stand-up work and goes the extra mile to make sure that you're happy with the result. Unlike other companies that were consulted, Bailey & Shipp was the only company that went over everything that would be needed to properly complete the work including dry-wall repair. Definitely the most reliable and top quality work that I'd hoped for from the beginning. Great Job!!!

Bailey and Shipp came out to troubleshoot some problems I was having with a diesel standby generator that came with a house I recently purchased and to perform routine maintenance. Matt really impressed me with his knowledge of my (obscure) system, his patience in explaining things and answering my questions, as well as his overall customer service. He really went out of his way to ensure I felt comfortable with the repairs, understood how the system operated, and that the whole process was easy for me. He even came by one evening after the work was done to walk me through everything one more time. I'll call this one above-and-beyond.

Showed up on time and called before to confirm the appointment. Very competent work. Easily completed all of the work. He repaired 2 outside light fixtures that weren't working (especially when it was wet). He did some wiring work in the electrical panel to prevent the issue from happening again. I expected it to take a few hours, but he got done so quickly that for no additional charge he fixed an electrical outlet in a bathroom and a light that wasn't working above the hot tub. Fast, efficient and reasonably priced. I would recommend and use these guys again in a minute.

Everyone was very professional & responsive. The guys were great dealing with our inquisitive 18mo old & our dog, and I also felt comfortable leaving them to work unsupervised when just my mother was around. They took pride in their work and everything is still working beautifully today. I'm finally getting around to filling out this review because I'm calling them back to troubleshoot another room and install new recessed LED dimming lights there too.

There was some difficulty with getting a price for the hookup; I thought it would be an easy switch from an old broken tub to a new tub but, in fact, it was not. The previous owners had not installed an electricity disconnect, so I needed far more work done than I had hoped. JP came out to look at the situation and gave me a price; we agreed on a date when the tub would be delivered and hooked up. Unfortunately, his workers called out on that Saturday and JP himself was out of town. He finally came over late Monday night and spent quite a long time in the dark finishing the hookup his guys had begun earlier that day. JP was very competent and professional.

They came to my house and informed that they could not do the work. They were pleasant, professional and on time.

They were really nice and did the work very well. I didn't spend more than the $199. It was one guy, he was good and his timing was very good. However I didn't think they would send only one guy, had they sent two it wouldn't have taken as long as it did. The one person did it in the right time but had they sent two it would have been better. The lights work.

Electrician was punctual, professional and friendly. He skillfully completed the job in about one hour.

I was happy with the work. They were here for about an hour and a half. I had to wait awhile to get something scheduled since they were really busy due to the big deal.

The service went okay. There was some drywall damage where he installed the light switch for the dimmer. He also cut too far in the ceiling and I have to hire someone to repair the drywall in those areas now. I had to pay an additional fee to have the better set of lights installed. I feel like every time I purchase a deal I am always charged much more for the service they actually do. They did come as scheduled. The staff was polite and nice. I am pleased with the lights that were installed. The technician was knowledgeable about their product and was happy to demonstrate to me the difference between the two different set of lights.

It went pretty well, there was an additional charge at the end of $500.

No service done. He did get paid though. Paid for the all day electrician. Money down the drain.

The technician who came out was punctual to the appointment. When he looked around at the work, he was upfront and explained that additional drywall work would be needed and there would be additional costs. He acknowledged the fact that this should have been covered or explained in the deal. We had to cancel the deal and had it refunded.

Lights work great, look wonderful but he tried to charge us to fix the drywall he cut out. around $100 a patch - SUPER high. I think this should have been part of the service.

The service went smoothly and we had no problems. I ended up upgrading the regular lights to LED lights and they installed an additional six lights and switch. The technician was in and out.

Excellent experience overall. Very professional. Appointment confirmation by e-mail and timely arrival. Work was done quickly and neatly with clean up afterwards. Planning on contacting back for more work to be done.

The electrician, Ashton, arrived on time the morning of May 23. I showed him where I wanted the lights and he immediately got started. He was very professional and did an excellent job. I was satisfied with the new lights. A day or two after the lights were installed, I discovered that my dryer wasn't working. The dryer outlet is on the other side of the wall where the dimmer switch is located. Believing that this problem had something to do with the switch being replaced, I contacted Bailey and Shipp to inform the customer service representative and ask that the electrician come back to correct the problem. One of the owners, Johnathan, responded wanting to know whether the dryer was gas or electric. I informed him it was electric. He responded to let me know that since I have an electric dryer 'that means that it is a 240v 30-amp circuit' and 'the work that Ashton [did] could not have affected the dryer. The switch could not be on the same circuit as the dryer, it is not possible. We would be happy to come out and fix the electric to your dryer, but we would have to charge you $125.00/hour to do so. Let me know if you would like to get you back on the schedule, sorry for the inconvenience.' That response didn't sit well with me because anything is possible. To gain and keep a customer, a company should exhibit good customer service. I decided not to respond immediately to Johnathan, but rather to eliminate other possibilities. I made a service request to General Electric to have a service technician come out to service the dryer. After about five or ten minutes, the technician told me and showed me that the outlet was only getting 120v and that's why the dryer wouldn't operate. I contacted Bailey and Shipp again with an update. This time around, the other owner, Rich, responded. He offered to come out to see what the issue was. He checked the work his electrician did, the fuse box, the dryer outlet and some wiring. He couldn't determine the exact cause of the outlet only receiving 120v. He suggested running a new line to the dryer outlet. So, I had that work done by Bailey and Shipp as well.

They did a good job. I am happy with the recessed lighting. He was trying to upgrade right away and the technician approached me right away to upgrade as well. The additional wiring was an exorbitant amount and it only took 15 minutes. He could not find a place to put the lamp in. I was left with 5 holes in the ceiling, size of the head of a screw driver. There were holes the ceiling and walls for the switch plate. I had to spackle the ceiling. He was on time. He did what he was suppose to do. I had to contact them to schedule an appointment which I was ok with . I will not use them again because of the exorbitant cost.

Communication from Bailey & Shipp when we ordered the work through Angie's list was very good and the work was scheduled at a time convenient for us. We were quite pleased with the final result although an initial scheduling mix-up delayed the installer from arriving when they were supposed to in the morning. Instead of having to reschedule for another day they were able to get to us in the afternoon of the same day. The installer was professional and very fast- had the whole job done very nicely in just over an hour including cleanup. The standard fixtures we chose were nice but the standard 60 watt incandescent bulbs were not quite bright enough for us so we replaced them with a slightly higher wattage halogen after discovering the fixtures could be adjusted to accept a different bulb dimension giving a more recessed look. We are having additional kitchen cabinet work done by another contractor found on Angie's list and when he came to measure he remarked that the lighting job was done very well and confirmed it was an excellent price.

Contractor was timely and professional. They did everything they said they would, and at the cost. Overall, they were very impressive.

Everything went as planned. The provider showed up on time and after discussing the placement of the recessed lights he went right to work. He asked my input every step of the way and did what I wanted him to do. Cleaned up afterwards and tested everything he was supposed to test. I would recommend him for another job.
