Paul spoke with me extensively over the phone to assess my concerns. Once we agreed to work together, he provided a straightforward contract for the work to be performed, as well, as the cost for his services. His schedule was flexible and he came out within 48 hours after the contract was signed. He addressed all of my concerns and his evaluation took approximately one hour. He provided additional recommendations for other issues that he found during the inspection of my home. He provided a report of his findings and recommendations within 12 hours of his in-person assessment. Paul was not only professional and knowledgeable, but he was also very personable. I would recommend him for any structural engineering needs.

We hired Parsoneault Consulting. LLC to inspect the foundation of our house, inside and out, due to water seepage. We had done our research prior to hiring a structural engineer. Mr. Parsoneault was 100% on point with regards to his evaluation, verbal and written communications involving the assessment and recommendations of the existing problem, as well as solutions. He was readily available to respond to follow up questions, verbally and in writing, after submitting his final results.

We hired Paul to do a structural evaluation on a fixer upper home we were purchasing. Paul resopnded immediately to our request and scheduled an appointment right away. He was so kind and patient with our questions and concerns while making a thorough analysis of the property. Paul informed us of a few issues that needed to be remedied. Without his expertise we would have never known about these serious structural flaws. We received his report that same evening, complete with written details and pictures. Pauls report gave us peace of miind, knowing exactly what needed to be done to make the home structurally sound. Once we purchased the property we knew the only person we wanted for the project design was Paul. We would give him a 10 star rating if that was possible, and submit our highest recommendation of Paul Parsoneault.

When you are spending a stupid amount of money for builder grade, it s worth it to have a third party inspect along the way so thankful for Paul and his time, knowledge and years in the business.

Paul was awesome! A true professional worked directly with the builders and provided me with guidance on how to handle things. He was prompt and very knowledgeable about plumbing, electrical, and structural work.

We needed advice regarding issues with the floor and it's capacity to carry the weight of a heavy countertop. The work was done in a professional manner, our questions were answered in detail in the report we received and verbally during the survey.

Paul is an exception PE. Goes beyond the call of duty to make sure what he will propose exceeds the minimum standard and guidelines. His honesty, promptness, knowledge and patience are exemplary. My project was a small one (deck, structural flush beams and stairs), but he held my hand and stuck with me until fruition. Not to use Paul for any structural project would be to shortchange oneself.

I hired Paul to inspect our 20 year old second story wood deck because I was concerned that it needed replacing. He provided lots of information and advice on repairs to make. Good news was that a new deck is not needed. He suggested specific hardware to purchase for the repairs and showed me exactly how to make them. It was great working with him, and he saved me the cost of a new deck. Thank you Paul! I have already recommended your services to a friend and will call in the future if we need your expertise again. My advice to others - call Paul first if you wonder about needing to replace your deck.

Paul called immediately after submitting my request to Home Advisor for a Structural Engineer. He was pleasant, quick, no nonsense, and patient. My project involved removing some lolly columns in my basement. His calculations/drawings helped me get through the permit process quickly and he provided some recommendations to make the construction easier. Would work with him again on future projects.

Mr. Parsoneault was very knowledgable and able to help us with all of our needs and questions. He was thorough with his inspection and took the time to explain what he was doing and why he was doing it. He was able to point out areas we should examine further and make appropriate recommendations for our project (we had floor issues and also wanted to open up a load bearing wall) Would highly recommend!

Paul was very helpful on a unique problem with an old stacked stone retaining wall. Very reasonable $ for the initial consultation.

I consulted Paul Parsoneault when I discovered trusses had been cut by the roofing company I hired to install skylights in our home. The roofing company insisted that our roof was fine but after speaking with Paul, we realized that building codes had been violated leaving our roof structurally unstable. For more than a year and a half, he helped us successfully negotiate with the roofing company to get them to repair our roof and cover all necessary expenses related to the repair. During this time he oversaw every detail of the process, which included assisting us with an MHIC complaint, reviewing their design drawings to build custom trusses, reviewing their design drawings to repair roof structure, writing up a thorough contract to protect us, consulting with local building authorities, and attending our preconstruction meeting. Not only is he an exceptional engineer with an impressive resume, but he is also very knowledgeable with the laws and acted like a lawyer on our behalf to get the roofing company to repair our roof. His persistence to get things done right was admirable. He was a godsend to us. Without Paul's guidance, I don't think the roofing company would have properly repaired the damage they did to our roof.

Everything you look for when you hire a structural engineer. Reliable, knowledgeable, objective, really helpful. We almost made our decision based on the opinion of a home inspector. Paul came and showed us that there is a lot more to it. We are very grateful for finding him. We will use him for all our engineering consultations.
