The work went very good.

Arundel Cooling provided next day service following our telephone call and sent a service technician to troublehoot our Heat Pump. He quickly determined that the compressor was grounded and needed to be replaced. This heat pump had been installed by our home's previous owner and I did not have any documentation. In spite of this, Arundel office personnel using the serial number determined that it was three years old and that the compressor (but not the labor to install it) was within the manufacturer's original ten year warranty. Within a few hours, they called with this information and provided a fixed price for labor.The replacement compressor was installed five days latter.

Everything was fine, Checked all parts of the system and gave me recommendation about better air flow upstairs.

Our air conditioning failed during the first heat wave of the year. When I called for an appointment, they said the earliest they could schedule was the next day, but they would try to do better. Given the situation, it was not an unreasonable answer, but I hoped for the best. Turns out they came that same evening, after calling ahead to see if that was ok. Of course, it was more than ok! The service person clearly had had a long day already, but he was very professional and knowledgeable. He knew immediately what was wrong, gave me an accurate quote, and went to work. Ten minutes and a new part later, I had cooling.

I did not care for Arundel's service. I had to have my gas shut off because they did not connect the gas line back correctly. They used inferior hosing which acceptable by our heating company, but the plastic hosing began to melt behind the furnace. The workers were very professional and arrived on time. They cleaned up after themselves, but I would not recommend them solely based on the potential dangerous gas line problem.

The workers were terrific, they came promptly to diagnose the problem, presented us with a proposal before we left for work, went to work removing the old boiler, the next day began installation of the new one and finishing the next morning. They worked hard, cleaned up completely, carted away the dead boiler, made sure we understood how the furnace needed to be maintained by us and generally seemed to care that the job be done well. We would definitely call them again and plan to use them for boiler maintenance.

I called and made an appointment for them to come out for a service call. I took off a day at work and they never showed up at all. I asked if they could come the next day since they missed the first appointment and they told me that they couldn't because they were booked up. I was just frustrated because I was never told why they didn't come.

This company came out and did an excellent job for us, they lived up to the ratings that they have on Angie's list. They came out on time and took care of the problem and were very open to questions and gave us great feedback and explained everything.

The pipe was causing considerable flooding in our kitchen and bathroom. The technician was extremely professional and went out of his way to help us, even when he learned the problem was plumbing rather than HVAC related. He spent well over an hour trying to find the drain for the condensation outside our house. He even attempted to blow out the pipes in an attempt to clear the blockage. Overall he went over and above what was necessary in an attempt to save us money by not having to call out a plumber.

They were OK to good on the phone setting up the appointment. The technician who came out (Bill Mayo) was great -- informative, professional, organized, neat, clear. The fall maintenance was the price they had quoted me, and determined that the furnace was working fine except needing a new belt. Turned out that the thermostat he brought out that first visit did not fit in the odd spot where my thermostat is. So, the company called me a couple days later and we made a second apt to replace the belt and bring a differently shaped thermostat. Mr. Mayo came again and was similarly great. Showed up when we had agreed (not late!) was informative and replaced both.

From the beginning, this company was very customer-service oriented. Henry, the sales person was very knowledgeable and made several visits to make sure that we had all the information we needed and that the job was done properly. We had to have the furnace replaced and the new unit wasn't going to fit over the old furnace and the cost was definitely competitive with other estimates. The job was completed in two days and when there was a last minute glitch with a switch not working, the service manager came out the very next morning to take care of it. They also made adjustments to the work based on suggestions made by another company whose price was double what Arundel charged. They also cut a new vent in a bedroom where air flow was a problem and put aluminum tape all throughout the duct work in the basement to take care of any leaks. They definitely went above and beyond what we had expected.

Excellent and punctual service. One of the few local A/C contractors who actually even bothered to call back.

They were very good, there sales man knew what he was doing in recommending the system for the whole house. He did under estimate the materials needed for the sun room, but they gave us the heat pump for no cost because it was an mistake on there end.

When I realized that my aging heat pump system has to be replaced I requested estimates/ proposals, on the internet, from five HVAC companies for a new system. My requests were sent out late at night. The first call I received was from Arundel Cooling & Heating, the next morning to arrange an appointment for the next day. Walter Boushell arrived a few minutes early, reviewed our system and gave two estimates and recommended that we take the better unit which was only a few dollars more because of $1000 factory rebate from Carrier. I told him that I was expecting other proposals and will make a decision in a week. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. By the way, when I told Walter that his company had very good ratings from Angie s List I got a $100 reduction in the price. I got four more proposals; the least expensive was $971 MORE and the most expensive was $2,725 MORE than the Arundel Cooling price; for like performance and quality systems. I signed and emailed the contract the next week, Wednesday, and agreed for an installation date on the next Tuesday. The installers arrived right on time and by 4:00 pm the installation was complete. However, when the system was tested it would not work. Within half an hour two technicians showed up to diagnose the problem which turned out to be a computer board in the air handler and the control unit both needed to be replaced. The next day at 1:00pm new board and control units were installed and the whole system works perfectly ever since. We are now enjoying the much better performance of the new system and looking forward to lower electric consumption. Arundel Cooling & Heating did an outstanding job at a very reasonable price and all the employees we have contact with were professional.

The maintenance man came out, assessed the problem, quickly resolved it, and then showed me how to fix it so I wouldn't need to call them again. While he was in the house for over 45 minutes, he only charged me the fee for them coming to the home, because the problem was so simple. The company was superbly professional, calling me a 1/2 hour ahead of time to let me know that the truck was being dispensed and quickly resolving the issue. While there service fee ($99) was a bit higher than other service companies, they were so quick to respond, and so helpful in responding to the issue that I would definitely use them again.

Henry Vox came and gave us an estimate and returned when we needed to ask more questions. He was very friendly and there was no hard sale. He was very knowledgeable about the Carrier equipment and the size system that we would need. The job was scheduled within days of signing the contract. The company called the day before coming out to do the job. Bryan and Matt the installers arrived on time and were able to get most of the job done in the first day. They returned the next morning and finished up within a few hours. The old system was hauled away and the entire area was left clean. Bryan went over the operation of the system including the digital thermostat and how to replace the filter. We were told to call right away if we had any problems. I would highly recommend this company!! Professionals from the start to the finish.

My overall experience was great. After having dealt with numerous sub-standard businesses in Baltimore-DC, this was a refreshing change. The team (predominantly Bryan and Matt) were professional, on-time, courteous, efficient and hands-down FANTASTIC. They finished the job ahead of schedule, did a very clean job, did not mind our inquisitive Great Dane peeking in from time to time, and cleaned up after the work was completed. With respect to the price, I didn't have too many offers as many companies did not think the job was possible, but Arundel managed to perform the job for almost $6,000 below the closest estimate.

I've never had a problem with them and they are very professional. I would highly recommend them to others.

We have a contract with AHS and the companies they send varies. In this call, which was for a non-functioning heat pump, the technician went over and above the call of duty. He explained exactly what was wrong. He returned with the part to fix it the next day. He ordered another part to cover it. He installed our filter for us, and gave advice on how to deal with dust. He was the best tech we have ever had repair our furnace. Note, we paid $55 which is what our cost per service is with AHS.

I was very satisfied and would use them again.

Installation appt was between 0830-0930. Techs arrived at 0845, began work almost immediately. Techs went about their business professionally, quickly, and cleanly. They made almost no noise, a minor miracle considering that some components are made out of sheet metal. Installation took about 4 hours, and the techs worked steadily through the morning. Installed new slab for new unit, which was larger than the old one. After installation, they cleaned up everything, showed me the new features, what maintenance would be needed, and the service schedule. Year's worth of maintenance included along with the warranty. Overall, they exhibited the utmost in professionalism.

Henry Vox was knowledgeable, trust worthy and did not try to sell me something I did not need or of which I could not take full advantage. Installation guys, Brian and Adam, were top notch. Excellent, friendly and proficient.

The individual sales rep, Henry Yox, provided me an estimate on the cost and feasibility of the installation during the rough framing. Our construction crew continued work with the intent of installing the unit over the French doors on the back of the house. Unfortunately, Henry got the dimensions wrong and we had to change the location of the unit after all the construction was completed. He didn't understand the necessity to have clearance above the unit for the return air and he then suggested that I needed to remove the door molding so that the unit would fit. In the end we had to move the unit to the stairway. Definitely not the best place for it. Overall, the installers were VERY professional, clean, and punctual. They removed all trash and were considerate of our pets. If you will use this company, I suggest asking for another sales rep other than Henry Yox.

I HAD CALLED THIS COMPANY AND DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING WITH MY FURNACE. THEY TOLD ME THE SOLUTION TO MY SITUATION AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD BE OUT THAT AFTERNOON TO FIX IT. AFTER A SHORT TIME, IT WAS FIXED IN A NEAT AND CLEAN FASHION. I WAS HAPPY.

TWO MEN WORKED IN AND OUTSIDE THE HOUSE, AND INSTALLED AN A/D UNIT AS WELL AS THE COILS IN THE BASEMENT ABOVE THE OILBURNER. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND CLEANLY, AND REMOVED THE OLD UNIT.
