Metropolitan Moving & Storage

Metropolitan Moving was a dream to work with. The contact people at this local DC company were on the ball and coordinated very well. The two drivers/movers drove from DC to Madison and then back, needing overnight stays for safety rules. They were experts in wrapping and delivered everything on time, and in good shape. They even carefully handled an old Grandfather clock move. Especially when you need a direct move, Metropolitan fits the bill. I recommend this company highly.

I'm a pretty particular person and the move required a high level of finesse and thoughtfulness. Our moving team was amazing. From the team leader through to all of the workers, everything went beautifully. In addition to all of the complexities, we needed to make the move in two parts. It all proceeded according to plan. The second team had a different supervisor which concerned me. How could they both be excellent? Well, they were. I wish they had a New England division. The materials being moved were not traditional household items. The packers did not seem phased by any of the issues. The only thing that was a problem for us was the space required at the receiving end. We needed to go into a storage facility and had to scramble for additional space. Part of this was due to needing to have space to maneuver in the units. My word of caution for this situation is to secure more space than you think you need.

The people from Metropolitan Moving & Storage were awesome from my initial phone call inquiring about what was involved in a move to a different state to the day of the move. The quote was quickly delivered, follow up questions and concerns were answered immediately, the movers arrived at the time they promised, the actual move was trouble-free. The three gentlemen who arrived to pack up my home in Pennsylvania worked tirelessly and efficiently to load up the truck, and they were equally efficient unpacking at my new home in Maryland. The movers were respectful of my belongings and of my time. Noting was broken or missing. I would highly recommend them for your move. They were AWESOME!!!!

It went smooth and faster than I thought the guys moving we're professionals. They did it really fast got everything situated in my house that I needed. Everything was wrapped and blanketed and loaded professionally in the truck and load unloaded professionally in my House

Luis and the crew did a fabulous job of moving us from Northern Virginia to New Jersey in March. They were so pleasant and professional. They worked hard and efficiently. Everything was wrapped, moved and packed with the greatest care. We really enjoyed working with them and nothing was a problem for them. They even offered to unpack and assemble some items for us. Would definitely recommend them!

Work was fast and professional but cost was a little above others and we were charged for an additional service we agreeded on not being charged for a the start. In the end we got half the price for additional item back.

The service they provided was awesome. Cassie was so easy to work with. She is kind and patient and had no problem answering questions from concerned parents 3000 miles away. I would highly recommend this company.

The original estimate was on the high side of the moving companies who came out to give estimates. However, I felt that the estimator had the experience to know exactly what it would take to move our entire home. He estimated 5 guys and 10 hours for the move. In the end, it took Mario and his crew ~7 hours to complete the move. They were friendly and professional throughout the process. They had to take a couple pieces of furniture apart and reassemble them, which they did without complaint. No damage on any items or either of the homes. Overall, I was impressed with Metropolitan Moving & Storage and would recommend them to anyone looking to move from or within the DC area.

We used them based on their A rating on Angies List and we were not disappointed. Their rates were good, both packing day and moving day went excellent. They showed up on time, polite, professional and took very good care of our household goods. Being former military, we have moved many many times and this was easily the best move we have encountered so far. I would highly recommend Metropolitan Moving and storage! Justin and his team took very good care of us.

Beautifuly. The movers were punctual, pleasant, very professional. It was raining/snowing/sleeting during our move but that did not stop them or slow them down. They took considerable care with everything, so nothing got wet, broken, or lost. When they moved stuff into the house, they were very careful to put boxes and furniture exactly where we told them to. Best move ever.

Very timely and efficient with our moving and storage needs as we had to empty our house for a renovation. A team of 3-4 movers came out and was able to pack everything in to trucks within a day. We didn't have to do any packing on our end as the movers took care of it all. They were responsible for storing everything and were very easy to work with to get everything out of storage. I had to change delivery dates on them a few times and there was never an issue.

Wonderful service at a very affordable rate. The Metropolitan Moving and Storage team is very professional and prompt. I will continue to use them and suggest them in the future!
