Great service from start to finish.

I first contacted Chris via email. He got right back to me, and we set a date. He arrived on time, and was professional and polite. He had the job done in an hour. He took away my old fan for disposal. The new fan looks great and is running great. I would definitely use Ryan Electric again.

We sent an email first; after waiting a week with no response, we left a telephone message. After waiting an additional 2 weeks with no response, we gave up and called another company. If the job was too small for Ryan, it would have been nice if they had returned our email or call and said so. Instead, we wasted 3 weeks, and another week for the other company to come out for the estimate, and another 2 weeks until they can do the work.

I contacted Chris about the recessed lights deal by email but wanted different materials than offered. He worked with me individually for pricing. He and his helper are very clean and detail oriented. I appreciate the extras such as the laser light to line things up, the drop cloth to keep everything clean. Even the screw heads on the light plates were lined up! They didn't balk at my adding an additional dimmer and 4 LED installs, and taught me how to do the LED inserts myself for my other recessed cans.

Chris was VERY responsive and helpful in the placement of the lights. In todays day and age I'm not use to such great service. He went about this job in a workmanlike manner and did a beautiful job. I will use him in the future and highly recommend him and his company to everyone on Angies list. Thank you Chris.

Chris and his helper arrived exactly at the time that he said. They put a new electrical outlet in the bathroom and one in the living room and fixed three already existing ones. I was extremely pleased with the work. They were pleasant and very professional, worked quickly and cleaned up any mess that they made. Plus, I thought the charge for the service quite reasonable. I would happily recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work.

I bought their coupon on an Angie List "big deal" to install a ceiling fan, and ended up needing more electrical work than expected. All of my questions were answered and they did not balk at the extra work on site. They were very courteous and professional.

I needed 2 surge protectors installed and got a timely response back with a quote and had quick installation to fit our busy schedule. Also, added on a ceiling fan installation at the last minute and is wasn't a problem at all. Ryan Electric provided great service and a great attitude. Will definitely use them again.

Within a hour and a half they were finished. The work was very professional with no additional plaster work needed to the ceiling as they discussed as a possibility. Because my original light switch was efficient, that cost was subtracted. I think I will get all the rooms done by this company.

I set up an appt for Chris to come by to install 4 recessed lights and then, due to their incredible work and professionalism, I decided to ask them to do some more electrical work. I was very pleased with their workmanship, attention to cleanliness, their punctuality, and friendly demeanor. I will invite them again in the future should the need arise.

I had an appointment with Chris on the first day of hurricane Sandy to give me an estimate for the job. He was ontime. He went throughout the house to see what I wanted and made various suggestions which reduced my costs. I should mention that I had three bids on this job and Chris was the best. He emailed me the estimate for the job a few days later. He was the best price and I felt very confident with him. He came on the day scheduled, on time and completed all the jobs except the light fixtures to be installed in the bathroom. The fixtures did not fit so he had to get a different set and come back to install them about a week later. He did an excelent job,was timely,professional, very tidy, and our communication went extremely well. We did much of our communication by email. In addition, I sent Chris an email of what was acceptable to me on the replacement of my heater fan, light exhaust fixture in the one bathroom. I will hire this firm for all my electrical work in the future. They are a gem!

I purchased Angie's List big Deal to have 8 recessed lights to be installed in 2 bedrooms. The company was prompt with responding to my email to set up a installation date. The 2 workers arrived on time and quickly got to work. The completed the work in less than 3 hours. They cleaned up prior to leaving. I am pleased with the job.

Chris has done several projects in a very challenging 1920's house. He is very creative and provided some excellent recommendations.

I was extremely pleased with the work done by Ryan Electric. From the start they were prompt in responding to my request for information. Although I initially contracted to have 8 recessed lights installed, I asked Ryan Electric approximately how much it would cost to add more lights to my order. I was given a per light price and told to let the electricians know what I wanted when they arrived. The electricians were very punctual on the day of the installation, they worked hard, they paid particular attention to keeping any mess to a minimum, and they were extremely polite and professional. I added an additional 6 lights to my order, for a total of 14 recessed lights, and the electricians did an absolutely fantastic job.

I am very happy with this company. They were able to schedule my job within less than one week of my purchase of the Big Deal for ceiling fan installation. They were about 15 minutes late, but worked very quickly and finished the job in about thirty minutes. They were courteous, respectful and professional. The job was well done. I will definitely call them when I need more electrical work done.

Chris was very punctual. He and his helper were very efficent and cleaned up after themselves.

Chris and Brian arrived on time and carefully covered the work area with drop cloths. He removed the 4 existing flush-mounted ceiling fixtures and installed 6-inch recessed "cans" in their place. He replaced the wall switch with a small dimmer switch. He took 2 of the ceiling fixtures from this room and hung them in 2 other locations after taking down older fixtures. All work was done neatly and professionally.

After the generator was in place we contacted the plumber whom they recommended and he determined that we needed a larger gas meter and a city permit. He was helpful in contacting BGE to have the old gas meter replaced and handled the communication with the city to obtain the permit. The city inspector found that the generator had to be moved farther away from our house in order to meet code. We contacted Ryan Electric again and they moved it promptly to the inspector's specifications. The plumber completed his work, which added 50% to the overall cost. At that point before the final inspection, the derecho storm hit and the generator was fried. Since the generator had been installed it had to be repaired under warranty. Generac's representative in the area removed it and repaired and replaced it within 2 - 3 weeks. The generator worked beautifully during a 14 hour power outage when Hurricane Sandy hit. After a longer than expected process, we are very happy to be able to rely on the backup generator.

I bought the Deal for my daughter-in-law as she and my son moved into a new house. The generator and the installation worked out just find, but the follow-up work did not, specifically getting the proper permits so an inspection could be made. We finally worked everything out, but it took much longer than it should have.

Performed tasks in minimum amount of time and was courteous

Called to make an appointment early on Friday and couldn't reach anyone by phone on any phone number listed. Called back on Monday and again had no person answering phones. Left a message on both occasions with detailed contact information. No one EVER called back, not even to apologize. Went with Blue Jay Electric, recommended on this list, and had fabulous service.

I called and left detailed messages on two separate days and received NO response from either message. Not even a call to say they were busy and would get back to me. So much for great customer service.....business must be good!! Went with the next guy who actually answered his phone and got me an email estimate the same day. Now that's service.

Chris gave me an estimate over the phone when I described what I wanted done and was able to come out on a Saturday. I provided all the materials, except for some wire, though he recommended different smoke detectors than those I had already purchased, so while he was working on the outlets I went and got the ones he suggested. None of the work was major, but there was so much of it I thought it would take most of the day, but he arrived at 8:30 in the morning and was finished before noon. He was pleasant, extremely competent, and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use him again in the future and have already recommended him to my friends.
