+ 0 moreThe estimate was free, They were, by far, the most. They were just far and away the best. The estimate consultation was very detailed and very thorough. They kind of go out of their way to make sure that you understand every element and every part of what they're going to replace. Like, what they're going to replace it with, the product they're going to use, how it's applied. It's a very thorough consultation for your estimate. Just about every part of it was well done. They were the quickest to respond. They came out right away. I guess, if they could improve one thing, like they do the pricing on the spot. I guess one thing they could do, they could still do the thorough consultation, but the actual numbers they could workout after they're gone from your house and just send you the number. That would have cut like a half an hour out of the consultation if they would have done that.
Description of Work: They gave us an estimate for putting on a new roof and I asked them to quote replacing the gutters.

Description of Work: They were hired to install tile in a small 5x5 bathroom. They contracted it out and it just went downhill from there. The main issue was communication between the first guy that came out and took the estimate from Lowe's, the Lowe's install guys in flooring, and Andonian's Carpet Warehouse. Poor communication resulted in numerous phone calls and wasted hours, including taking a full week to be contacted by Andonian even though I was told by Lowe's I would get a call the next day. In fact, I finally had to call Andonian myself. When the install guy arrives at 10:55, he was within the 3 hour window 8-11. But he had to call Lowe's because he wasn't going to put the tile on top of the linoleum like the Lowe's estimate guy said they would. But that got worked out. But this was the first sign of poor communication. We paid for caulking the tub and toilet (itemized on the receipt) but didn't notice until the guy left that that he didn't calk it. I was ready to caulk it myself but was denied by the wife :). "We paid for it," she said :). So we had to wait another two weeks for the guy to come out again. He made no apology or acknowledgment that the caulking wasn't done just to be polite, but instead he said they "never caulk toilets and tubs" and complained about having to drive 30 minutes. Andonian's guy was unprofessional, never asked us to inspect, communicated very little, but our contract was with Lowe's. Just bad communication. If you're going to contract out, you have to do better than that. Paula from Install at Lowe's was the only bright spot.

+ -1 moreThe Hispanic technicians who did the work pounded the tongue-and-groove sections together too hard so that all the seams show. I don't think the guy who installed could see too well, I think he should have been wearing glasses. I guess I should have spent more and bought the type of laminate that just snaps in place, no pounding required.
Description of Work: I had laminate flooring installed of the tongue and groove type. The technicians came and removed the furniture a section at a time, then took up and removed the old carpet and padding. After laying the laminate they replaced the furniture.
