I will never use Hagerstown Furniture Outlet ever again!!
Description of Work: Back in November 2012, I went into Hagerstown Furniture Outlet to purchase 2 loveseats. A lovely lady named Barb helped me out. After I picked them up..about 4 weeks later. I realized I could only fit one loveseat in my living room. I called the store, told them my error. I was offer store credit of $400.00. I used the store credit for 2 endtables and an ottoman. I love the endtables. I have yet to get an ottoman from this company. The manager ordered an ottoman the first time in the wrong color. Perfect size, wrong color. That had to go back. I then gave a pillow from the loveseat so they could get the color right. The manager said he would personally take care of it. I received an invoice in the mail, assuming it was my new ottoman. I went in the store and they said it had not arrived and that it was NOT an invoice to my new ottoman. It was the invoice for the old one. HUH? A few weeks later I received a call that my ottoman was in. I went to the warehouse and it was STILL the wrong ottoman. The newest one was a small dog bed. Right color. Wrong size. I went back to the store and talked to the manager. All I got was attitude and excuses. I explained that the store credit policy has failed me 2 times and that as a courtesy I should have the remainder of my credit applied to my credit card for a refund. $191.49. The manager said he did not have the authority to do that. Oh really? You are the manager!! I then asked to speak to the owner or have the owner...Donald Risser..to contact me. The manager said he would see what he could do and have the owner contact me. Its been 4 days! I haven't heard from anybody. I have been dealing with this store credit mess for months. I am tired of dealing with this store. I would suggest to anyone...don't shop there!!

We were looking for a new couch and love seat for our living room. We had been shopping around for a few weeks and finally settled on a set that Hagerstown Furniture had. When went back to purchase the set it had already been sold the manager said he was having issues with the manufacturer and that it would be 4 weeks till we could see it he offered us the a lower price and free delivery. We paid half as we was a little suspicious of the story we was told. Fast forward 6 weeks later we never heard from Hagerstown Furniture during the 6 weeks like a confirmation call saying that the order is on the way or had even showed up. So we proceeded to go to the store and found out that they had the set we ordered on the showroom floor with a sell tag on it. NOT A SOLD tag. So when we talked to the manager about it he was baffled about and said that our set was in the warehouse and that we should have been called. Yet another story. So he didn't offer anything else other than free delivery which was already promised to us. Then the soonest he could get it delivered was another week away. Only live 3 mins from the store and the warehouse is right around the corner from us and we had to wait another week. Finally 7 weeks after ordering the furniture it was delivered we did pay the other half of what was owed but no discounts offered or anything else. I don't recommend them ever they may sell American made furniture but the service just generally sucks and also you can tell it is privately runned since they close at 6 on a Friday. I have worked retail for many of years and closing at 6 pm on a Friday is bad business and shows they care more about themselves than making money or helping possible customers.

.We purchased both a king size mattress and frame and also some Best furniture from them. We purchased this for around $3000.00 last September. And since then both the sofa and the bed have been defective. We have had a number of coversations and just short of litigation in getting them to honor their warranty. They tried to provide us with a replacement sofa and the sofa was delivered damaged. Then they insisted on us paying for the transportation but we refused to pay. They tried to retain the funds as they asked for them upfront and they did everything they could to not give us back the funds. Short of us calling the police in. We are still waiting for the replacement of the bed as they had been deemed defective by the manufacturer. They just refuse to honor their warranty.
