I don't really have anyone to compare them too. They said the system was in great shape.

I signed up for an advertised special to replace a water heater for $1,200. When I called to schedule service I was told that because I had a power vent, the cost would be $2,400. Really??? Double the cost for an electric motor that sits on top of the water heater? I cancelled the appointment but it took at least a week for my credit card to be credited for a refund. BGE Home came out the same day and did the job for $800 less. As far as I am concerned, Silvia heating is a "bait and switch" operation. Stay away from them. This was my second experience with Angie's list. I'm not impressed and my trust for Angie's List services and the contractors they recommend is pretty low at this point. Not impressed!

Fantastic. From the moment I met John Trancucci to the quote process to the installation, everything went like clockwork. This is a GREAT company to work with; they are responsive, punctual, clean, and the quality of their work is second-to-none. I would refer them to friends/family without hesitation.

David was one of the most professional tradesman i have met to date. He was on time, courteous, professional and honest. He was clear in his explanation of what he was doing. Extremely efficient and thorough.

It turned out very good. They did an excellent job. The price was fair. One person and it took about 45 minutes. He was very professional, courteous, called me ahead of time to let me know he was coming, cleaned up after himself and explained everything he did to me.

They are reliable, and they do a good job. The workers are nice, professional, and polite.

buyer beware. they advertised water heater with a ten year guarantee. the actual water heater comes with a six year guarantee, and sila buys an additional four year guarantee. this means the water heater is not as well insulated as a heater built to last with a ten year guarantee. I could live with this, however, after the installation, i had low water pressure in one faucet and the hot and cold water were reversed in the kitchen faucet, which stopped working completely w/i a day. they promised to send a plumber; 1/2 hr. before scheduled visit they advised me no one would come as my original heater was installed incorrectly and the problem was my fault. after contesting this falsehood, they sent a service manager who rearranged the hot and cold water pipes at the water heater site. there was no water at all flowing from the kitchen sink and pressure was still low on the hot water side of the lavatory sink. I was advised a plumber would call me Monday to fix the problem with the faucets. No call. I called the office and was told they had no plumber to service my area and that my faucets were old. another falsehood. I am now waiting for the customer service rep to speak with someone else and respond to the problem. I really didn't expect this deceptive service and no price is worth being accused of problems I didn't cause and being without water in the kitchen faucet for three days.

After a slow start with communication, visit went off with no hitches. Tenants have not complained again. All's good.

This was a big deal purchase. They were very good. They came out about a week after I bought the bid deal. He did an excellent, clean, neat and put everything back the way it was. He was wonderful.

We needed our heat pump repaired. Sila's tech was prompt and efficient. We would hire them again if needed.

Replaced fan and wheel for reasonable price in just a few hours. Gave honest assessment of our units remaining life.

Excellent - from scheduling to completion of each job. The scheduler/s are customer-focused and the service technician (Joey Jordan) prompt, courteous and extremely helpful. Joey performed all three maintenance checkups for us which we greatly appreciated!

Made two appointments, requiring advanced notice to my job for leave, on both occasions SILA called in advance to cancel, but too late to cancel my leave! Both times they used the same pitiful excuse! Totally unprofessional!

Great. David D. is a great technician and embodies all could ask for in his role (friendly, patient, competent, communicative, etc.). I would certainly hire Sila back and would want David D. to complete any future service.

The followed through with everything they said they were going to do.

They were very thorough, courteous, showed up on time, provided feedback and recommendations for the future.

I was thoroughly unhappy with the job. He did not resolve the issues and I feel I wasted my money. They did not clean the flue exhaust or the burner tubs. He said he would bleed my radiators and he could charge me more because it was not included in the deal and I stated it actually is included. When I called the company to talk about my dissatisfaction, they pleaded ignorance.

GREAT! OUTSTANDING ! While here Dave diagnosed a broken sump pump. After going to get a few pieces of hardware he replaced our pump with a new one . He then redirected the drain lines outdoors. Now he arrived at 8am to do a 1 hour job and spent 11 hours at our home. WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AGAIN? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT !

They came in and did a great job assessing our unit and gave us recommendations as to what we could do to make the system more efficient. Our tech was very patient listening to my concerns and addressed them all.

The tech had to cancel the first appointment as he could not complete one of the previous work with unexpected delay. He completed the work following week.

No problems found. Capacitor nearing end of life, replaced as a precaution

Purchased a furnace check up and service. Technician was extremely professional and clean, gave a very nice overview of the current state of the furnace and what to keep an eye on. Would definitely use Sila for future work. Working with a very dated furnace, so an honest opinion vs. a sales pitch was refreshing.
