I typed into Home Advisor my request for repairing rollers on a 4��� sliding glass patio door. Within 24 hours Mike Byers telephoned me. I returned his phone call and we discussed the job and price ��� price obviously varies depending on exactly what is wrong and what it takes to fix it. His arrival at my home and in person estimate would be free. Two days later, he showed up, at the time he said he would arrive. He spent one hour removing the 4��� slider, replacing both rollers, re-installing the slider after cleaning the rails. He was polite, worked diligently, and cleaned up after the job. The slider, 40 years old, now works better than it has in 35 years. The price was exactly what I expected based on our conversation before he showed up. Specifically, $225. I cannot think of anything to criticize. It would have been nice to get the service for less money, a statement which pertains to every business transaction. I highly recommend Mike Byers, aka Mike Byers Security.

Mr. Byers did exactly what he said he would and was $185 cheaper than another company that provided an estimate for the same work. My wobbly railing is now completely solid and it looks great! He even painted other parts of the railing that were chipped.

Was thoughtful in proposing a day when the weather would permit work on the door and effected the repairs on the said date. The door slides like a dream and the price was very reasonable. We used Byers to repair exterior railings on the steps to the entry of our home. The existing railings were still in good shape but other contractors had insisted they would have to be replaced entirely. Byers looked at the job before giving us a price. He felt the railings could be used again with some modifications to how they were installed. He did the work immediately (within a day) and the railings look brand new. We would absolutely use him again and would recommend his services without any hesitation. He's really superb.

In my opinion, Mr. Byers was very professional, informative and offered what I believed to be his honest opinion about the installation project. He was open to my questions/concerns, was timely, and did not leave any debris behind. I do have another entry way into my home and would definitely consider him when ready to do that particular install.
