Description of Work: I needed two valves replaced under the kitchen sink. The plumber arrived and gave me an estimate, which was quite expensive. When I hesitated, the plumber then told me James A. Wheat and Sons was too expensive and he had his own company, which would be much cheaper. He then proceeded to give me his business card and told me to call him. I felt this was extremely unethical and just wanted him to leave. I ended up paying $35 for the visit. I then contacted James A. Wheat and Sons to inform them about what happened. They acknowledged receipt of my email and agreed it was equivalent to theft, but made no further effort to contact me or refund the $35. I found a reputable company for a much lower price.

Description of Work: James Wheat & Son's provide my A/C-heater maintenance. This was my annual visit for A/C maintenance. Their servicemen are professionals. After providing service, they always review what was done and what services/repairs may be recommended to maintain the health of your system.

Description of Work: James A Wheat has become my go to plumber. They have snaked lines, fixed nine burst pipes from last year's polar vortex, and added a shut off valve to the dishwasher after it overflowed. It's been a rough year for water in our house.

Description of Work: After a 5 year old furnace died due to a poor installation job, I decided to go with the best. These guys were so attentive, so neat, so thorough. The bid process was wonderful and the saleman responded to my numerous calls with questions about the bid. We decided to add the additional insulation work that was contributing to our lack of cooling problem and they sent an awesome subcontractor who was also extremely cautious of their equipment going through my home to the attic. They may be a bit more expensive, but so far (judging by the installation), I'd say it was well worth it.

They then clearly took their time to explain the solution and all associated cost. After giving me a clear breakdown I confirmed I wanted the repairs and they were soon on their way. They were fast, efficient, courteous, and very professional. I would use them again for any major plumbing issue. Also, booking the appointment was easy and also efficient!

Description of Work: The technician went out of his way to be helpful and provide me with the best service at lowest cost! He checked out my A/C system and replaced 2 parts. Recommended new filters, but the one on my humidifier was too hard for me to reach. The technician said that after I bought a new humidifier filter, he would be happy to come back and put it in for me - at no extra charge. That's customer service!

Description of Work: I called on a Saturday because my kitchen sink was stopped. Fortunately the office is open on Saturday and I was able to schedule a service call. The plumber came as scheduled and fixed the problem. A lot of people in my neighborhood use this company and I can see why.
