I've used James A. Wheat & Sons for years for all plumbing and HVAC--including installation of Carrier systems--and have been completely satisfied with their company. The Eagle agreements for the two areas are well worth it.

Very well. They also helped me with shutting off water supply to hoses outside - important with the temps we had later in the week. Good recommendations, very practical.

They did not know how to install the faucet so I had to buy a new one and then I got it installed by somebody else. It was leaking after they fixed it so I had to buy another one. It was a father son team; the father was great but the son not so much. They didn’t come out like for a year and I had to call them three times. They were professional and friendly but didn’t know what they were doing.

I do all my havoc and electrical with this company-- have been for 14 years & they are always responsive-- & the technicians coming to service have been at my place many times before saying to me that M & Sons retain their talent.

I have an Eagle plan which provides emergency services when needed 24:7 365 - This is the second time in 5 years I have had an emergence and they are 2 for 2 in saving me great aggravation. Ken

The plumber showed up promptly, and he wore those little blue booties as not to soil the carpets. Did a good job on the flush, and provided some useful advice. Suggested some options without over-selling and was honest about those options. We have a lot of scale in our area so the flush is cheap insurance against not having to replace a water heater every 2-3 years. This is the second time we've used this contractor so yes, we'd continue using them.

Their lowest estimate was several thousand dollars more than what I ultimately paid to another provider. When the other provider got my old equipment back to his shop, he tested the furnace and found it to be in perfect working condition. I had been a loyal customer with Wheat, even paying for the annual service contracts. I felt betrayed. I sent them a letter explaining how I felt that they tried to swindle me, but they never responded.

The door was metal and the side panels were beveled glass upper and metal lower. The door had solid brass fixtures and a programmable lock. It was pricey but a quality job.

They sent a message via Rapid Connect. I called them because I hadn't heard from them and they said "You call us." They stated they could not get me in until February and I wouldn't have chosen this deal had I known that. I have gotten a refund and purchased another deal with another provider.

Cleaned gas logs- estimated cost of heat diverter. repaired gas fireplace last spring &, under contract, came back to inspect and check out operations late last year. Spent a lot of time trying to sell other services and, when estimate came in, it was high and they hadn't estimated what I had asked them to. So, verbally they gave me an estimate on that and, in my opinion, it was grossly over priced.

My air condition was leaking so I found James A Wheat & Sons Inc from the Angieslist to fix the problem. The technician came on time. He cleaned up the water drainage pipe that fixed the problem. He also checked the heat pump and found that one of the capacitor was dead and the remaining one was under its capacity. So I replaced both capacitors at cost of $160, which I though a little pricy. However, their service was good. I will use them again.

$35 to come out an diagnose my problem are you kidding? Most plumbers would be happy to give you a quote for free so that you use their services. At least tell me you are going to charge me before you send someone out, that's the real issue. I think this company is out to rip people off honestly. The issue we had was with our toilet and they gave us a ridiculous quote for installing a new one. Before the plumber left he also tried to sell us all these packages for them to come an do routine inspections. Now I get it, we're young and first time homeowners, so sure, it's an opportune time to try and take advantage of us. We weren't fooled. They came out quickly and the guy seemed nice enough, but that's really the only positive thing I can say... Be careful, the positive reviews could be because they are giving discounts to the folks who give them an A rating. Shame on you BTW if you're one of those people, good reviews on AngiesList should actually be for good hardworking companies not to just save $20!

I bought the Angie's List inspection for $75 with a $50 credit. I was very impressed with the professionalism displayed and the thoroughness of the plumber. He was very polite and kept the work area very clean. My only complaint was the prices for repairs. A auger in the toilet, 10mins and a $50 tool, to remove a clog was $180 and replacing the flapper, which took 5 mins and a $10 part, was $70. I was so impressed with the plumber that I paid it, but I will handle it myself next time.

Been a Wheat customer for 20 yrs. I purchase Eagle Agreements: twice a year onsite checkups of HVAC and Plumbing catch potential problems early. Repairs are always well done. Though not the least expensive company, Wheat delivers prompt quality service.

I had a gas furnace, stove and water heater already so gas pipe was already running through my crawl space. It took 2 men several hours to connect the new gas logs to the available gas lines in the crawl space. Roughly, the cost of the log set was about $100 and the installation was another $1500. The cost was well worth it as I use the gas fireplace almost every cold night in the fall and winter. |The fire itself looks great with a nice flame. The technicians from James Wheat were professional and neat. Since my fire was installed I have purchased a yearly maintenance contract and they come and tune everything up, check the carbon monoxide emissions etc. The yearly maintenance contract costs $100. It is easy to schedule the maintenance and they have always been on time. Once, I had a part that failed and that was also covered by the maintenance agreement. That instance was the only time that I was frustrated since the part took a while to arrive. However, they came and installed it as soon as it arrived. Overall, I am very satisfied with their service.

Service technician, Eugene Addo was very professional, knowledgeable and very complete in checking the operation of every aspect of fireplace components and its operation.

The technicians came on 12/4 to determine the problem, ordered the necessary parts and returned during some bad weather to make the installation of the new parts to the heat pump outside our home. I gave them two large umbrellas to use and that allowed them to work quickly to perform the needed repairs. They were great.
