COSTCO - Gaithersburg

The wait wasn't bad. They put a tire on and that's that.

He was pretty happy with the cost. They had really good service. I just think that the demand is so great that they have a hard time keeping up with the demand. It was so crowded. It took like two hours. We did not have an appointment. I think they need a bigger warehouse or more people to service.

No one in the tire department answers phone calls during regular office hours. No one is at the counter. Store manager has hard time, trying to catch somebody on the push talk phone.

Job went as promised and in time.  There were a group of about 4 people who were all waiting when I got there and there wasn't a counter person in sight for about 10 minutes.  Once he came back, the line moved quickly and the counter attendant did his job well.  When I was waiting for the job to get done, I saw the same thing happen again.  I'm sure it's a reflection of staffing and the guy taking orders winds up having to go outside to check on a customer's car, etc.
When the job was done, they did a great job of telling me about the road service that comes with the tires and registering the tires.  I think they were courteous to all the customers and not just me from what I could tell when I was waiting.

I always buy my tires at Costco because they have great prices and the follow up service is fantastic. For example, this past winter my Low Pressure indicator came on in my car and I drove by my local Costco to have them check this out. It turned out that one of the tires was simply low because of the cold, and they quickly resolved the issues at no cost. Since this is the second time that I had this condition (Low Pressure), I was a bit concerned because the first time I had a screw in the tire and they had to remove the tire to patch it. It took about 30 minutes total for them to fix the tire and they had me on my way, at no cost.

The tires have been fine and what we like about COSTCO in Gaithersburg is that we get free rotation and checks for the tires. Their price, quality, and professionalism were excellent.

They are very reasonable. We ordered the tires online and they arrived in a good amount of time-period. It was efficient. They called us when they arrived and we brought our car in and within four hours, they had them installed. They are very, very, very busy so one has to make sure to get it done; it is best on a weekday; their weekends are swamped. The quality of the install was very good. They were very professional, they did the best they could and they even stayed after to help.

I always buy my tires from Costco. My only constant complaint is that they are so busy that you have to wait to order the tires (unless you do it online) and then wait 3 - 4 hours for the tires to be installed.

Great experience, One professional, KEVIN KELLY, went above and beyond keeping track of the progress on my car. Only little problem was it took much longer than expected. I was told 1 hr 30 min. It ended up 2 hrs 30 min. I was very pleased with the tire I selected; we plan to keep this car indefinitely so the better tire was selected. Total job was handled very professionally-- Mr. KELLY was super. I recommend them highly. Buying tires was a lot easier than completing this report.

They fixed it very nicely at no charge since I bought the tires there but the wait is enough to make you make you ask yourself if it is worth it.

The thing that I like best about them is that they have top quality tires at a reasonable price when they're on sale. They run these sales about 6 times a year and the prices are hard to beat.

If I had taken my car to a gas station, it would have cost me $200. I do believe that you have to join Costco to get this greats service. It cost $40 to join but it is worth it. It does pay off when you use it. My tires are great and I am very pleased. Often times they may have a special going on to. You buy three tires and get one free or something like that. It is a nice place.

Price was hundreds less than other tire stores, it took about one hour. Had to order online (not stocked). Price included warranty, which is usually $35 per tire elsewhere.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS THAT THE SERVICE WAS QUICK, AND THE PRICE WAS EXCELLENT. THE PRICE INCLUDED BALANCING, AS WELL AS HAZARD INSURANCE. HOWEVER, THE LINE FOR INITIAL ASSISTANCE WAS LONG AND THE SELECTION WAS SMALL.

THEY HAD THE TIRES I NEEDED AND REPLACED THEM WHILE I SHOPPED NEXT DOOR AT THE COSTCO WAREHOUSE. THE ENTIRE SERVICE TOOK LESS THAN AN HOUR. VERY CONVENIENT AND SATISFACTORY!
