The contractor, Alex, was chosen based on his proposal, his initial interest and follow-up interest and the reviews on Angie's List. In the proposal, which covered everything needed for the job, Alex stated the time frame needed to complete the task. The job was completed in the specified time frame indicated. The job that was done by Alex and his crew was absolutely amazing! It was a wonderful experience, as from start to finish the entire crew came each morning at the expected time, were extremely pleasant and polite to deal with, and each day cleaned up around the work so that there were no messes to deal with. The job started by stripping the bathroom of everything, including taking out the original tub and opening up a wall to be able to increase the size of the shower. As the crew continued, Alex would be readily available to answer any questions and made sure that I was getting all that I had wanted. Alex also had originally gone with me to all the places before the job started to guide me in selecting quality tiles, granite, cabinet choices and bathroom fixtures. I appreciated all that attention as I really wanted a quality bathroom. The final outcome of the job is even better than I had hoped for. The skill of each individual was evident. Alex is not only an excellent contractor, but his expertise in working with his crew to make sure it was perfect showed his craftsman skills. If there was any problem, Alex was immediately on it and made it right. Based on this experience, I highly recommend Alex and AC Countertops & Remodeling, Inc. for any remodeling job in a home. I plan on having Alex handle the work when I remodel my upstairs hall bathroom in the future.

Alex is an energetic champion on your behalf working with suppliers, going to the suppliers with you and always concerned both with the quality of the equipment and with making sure that the job is completed to a high standard. We very much appreciate his advice on the shower fixtures we installed. Now we can take showers without dread when someone flushes a toilet somewhere! We love the look of our 21st century, 1950s bathrooms now and the costs came under estimate too.

I was very disappointed that the project fell through. I was so looking forward to having a new bathroom.

Alex came and gave us the quote and explained exactly how he would work with us and how long it would take. Once he got started it took exactly the amount of time that Alex had told us it would take - 2 weeks. Alex kept us informed as the job went along. Any unexpected issues (due to the condition of the house) that came up during the process was communicated to us and he took the time to show and explain what the issue was and how he was going to remedy the situation. He has a good eye for detail and made sure everything was perfect. He went above and beyond expectations and the contract.

This job went great! Only 2 weeks and 2 days from start to finish to completely remove our old kitchen, remodel the room, and install new cabinets and countertops. Alex (owner) was extremely responsive by e-mail or phone any time during the week or on weekends. He and his crew worked 8am to 5 most days, and always showed up ON TIME. All workers spoke clear english and were friendly and courteous. The job moved extremely quick, with only 2 or 3 days of down time while waiting on cabinet delivery and granite fabrication. It was nicely coordinated. Alex was extremely helpful by giving us advice for design, materials, and keeping us involved in the process. We always knew what was going to happen in the coming days, and his experience showed when things continued to happen as expected. He was very aware of our limited budget, and helped us to select the highest quality products while saving money. He also met with us to help select a high quality granite that would work well for our needs. And although he made many suggestions based on his experience, he had no problem accepting suggestions from us, which resulted in a great final product. All in all, our experience exceeded our expectations!

Alex and his team were prompt and very friendly. They tried to minimize the impact to our temporary living situation. Alex was always available to guide us and answer our questions.

They installed new tile and countertops. They also installed a new subfloor when doing the floor. We had them refinish the cabinets. I have used them multiple times.

It looks beautiful. I was impressed how attentive to detail they were. They paid more attention to detail compared to other companies I received a bid from. They not only emailed me the information throughout the process including pictures but they also followed up with me by telephone. They wanted me to be fully involved throughout the entire process and I made all the final decisions. They also cleaned up well and the home was immaculate after the work was performed. They also made sure protect everything in our home throughout the process. We really liked that aspect of the service. This was our first home remodel experience and we are very happy with the results.

Alex was wonderful from start to finish. He was very prompt about returning emails and phone calls during the whole process. I had never had a bathroom remodeled before. I choose Alex over other contractors because he told me he would help me design a new shower. He did not disappoint me. He sent me links and spent a great deal of time going over the details with me and working out what I needed and wanted. We then went to numerous tile stores to work with designers to pick out the tile. The next step was picking out granite for the bench in the shower. When we got there, I decided to replace the vanity and countertop. There was no pressure from Alex at any time. I felt that his goal all along was to make me happy. I never felt rushed or pressured to do something I did not want to do. You will see what I mean. When you see the detail and care that he takes with every aspect of the project, you will be impressed. Alex and his guys always arrived on time, always. They were always polite and respectful. They set up paper and drop cloths on the floor and plastic sheets in the doorways to contain the dust. They always cleaned up at the end of the day. Most importantly, they do very, very good work. Alex is very detail oriented. For example, he replaced the hinges on the bathroom door because they were rusty, after asking my permission. This was something that was not in the estimate and he did not charge extra for it. I liked the work they were doing so much, that I also had him paint another bathroom. They took care of so many details that I did not think about. Also, Alex came every day and worked with his guys. He knew what was going on at all times. We had no issues or problems with Alex or any of his guys the whole time. I have already gotten estimates from him for more work. I plan to use his company for at least 4 projects in the future. I just hope he doesn't get too busy to fit in my projects. I would highly recommend Alex and AC countertops and remodeling. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Alex came referred to us by the contractor who designed the kitchen of the house we had just bought... Alex replaced the double sink with a single sink as we wanted... unfortunately, after we asked him to check something, he found a leak in our shower... but he worked with us to repair it in the least expensive, but well done way (since we had bought our house not even a month before)... Alex was wonderful to work with - he communicated via email and phone and kept our house clean while he did work for us. We have already referred him to friends and would easily use him again!

AC Countertops was highly recommended to us by another contractor who did not take small jobs. We requested an estimate for work on our guest bathroom and Alex was very professional, delivered as expected, prompt and a good listener. His price was fair, but we ended up going with another contractor with a comparable price only because he had done work for us previously and we knew his work. I would definitely go back to Alex in the future..

My contractor provided Alex with the shelf length and width and then notified me when it was ready for installation. I happen to be a "detail person" and knew that not all of the walls in my 38-year-old house were perfectly square to each other, so I had carefully crafted a template that duplicated the angles at which the ends of the shelf would have to be cut. (Past experience had taught me that most people don't template a simple shelf, and this one needed to be an especially good fit.) When Alex showed up on the appointed morning with a beautifully edged shelf with perfectly square ends, I was delighted to discover that the first thing that he intended to do was...make a template!! He seemed rather pleased that I had already done so. When he checked the shelf location, he decided that the brackets that he usually used would not be to his (or my) liking, so he came up with a new wooden bracket-and-cleat system that would essentially disappear once the shelf was in place. Here is where it turned into a collaborative effort. I headed for my garage, where I found wood of the proper dimensions, saving him a trip out to our local home center. Once the brackets were ready, Alex checked the template once more, shaped the ends of the shelf and dropped it into place. It was a perfect fit, and it looks almost as if it's just hanging there all by itself. Alex is the consummate professional, and his workmanship is superb. What else is there to say!?

I am extremely satisfied with the work performed by AC Countertops Inc from start to finish and gave the maximum rating in all categories. The owner, Alex, was a pleasure to do business with and I was most impressed with his exceptional professionalism and responsiveness to any of our requests. Good communication between the customer and provider goes a long way!

Alex was reasonably priced, he helped with the granite and tile selection, and he showed up on time. His work was very good and detail oriented.

Late December my husband and I, had three estimates of price and labor. Alex, the owner of the company that we choose was the one that gave us the most confidence to get the work done. One week before the work began, he came to the house to measure the size of the kitchen, and help to choose the granite color, sink and faucet. At that time he gave us many excellents ideas. On the day of the work he was on time, organized and left his work very clean. The work was delivered on the promise time, which was four hours. We were satisfied with his company and his employees.

We first hired Alex Reyes (owner AC Countertops) after interviewing three contractors for a main floor half bathroom to full bathroom remodel. We got Alex's name from another contractor on angieslist with glowing reviews, but out of our price range. He said we should call Alex who was just starting his own business after working for him. This contractor raved about Alex and what contractor turns away business to someone else? I thought I would give him a call. Of the three quotes we got, Alex was the middle quote, but they were all close in price range. We just felt confident with Alex's manner and felt more comfortable with how he presented himself. So, first we did the smaller bathroom which turned out beautifully. We then totally reconfigured our master bathroom which used to have only a shower and expanded it to include a large soaking tub. Alex made it beautiful. He caught several bad DIY pieces of work and corrected them for me which I appreciated. Then, since we liked their work so much, we asked them to do our kitchen remodel starting immediately after the other two remodeling projects. We felt confident he would do good work for us and he has. Our kitchen remodel is about to finish up with the last details in the next few days. Our bathrooms have been done for a few weeks. Along the way, we hired him for a few smaller projects and he took them on for a good price. We are now in our home 3 months and in that 3 months Alex has redone much of our house. None of our projects were simple replacing like for like. The half bath was expanded to a full bath. The master bathroom was expanded and reconfigured and our kitchen was doubled in size with all electrical and plumbing needing to be moved. These were not small projects, but three HUGE projects and we were confident with Alex every step of the way. He pays close attention to detail, safety was always a top concern. He worked nonstop and made sure his workers did the same. He contracted out all plumbing, electrical and specialty work with high quality workers with him being on site to make sure the work was done well.

He is licensed and insured which I did inspect before I accepted his proposal. They did an outstanding job. They were very intent on detail and made sure that I was happy. The owner is Alex Reyes. They were just fabulous and I can't speak highly enough of them. Their price was reasonable for the amount of work they did. They were very responsive. I would recommend him to anybody. I checked his references and they were all glowing. They came in early in the morning and worked until lunch. Then they came back after lunch and worked straight until it was time to go home. The work ethic was highly commendable. They were courteous. I've never seen people work so hard. They had very good work habits. They were adamant that we were pleased and happy with the final product.
