IT TOOK A LOT LONGER THAN EXPECTED, BUT THEY DID A GREAT JOB. ALSO, ONE OF THE WORKERS FOUND A DIAMOND RING THAT DROPPED OUT OF A CABINET AND THEY TURNED IT IN TO HIS SUPERVISOR WHO, IN TURN RETURNED IT TO ME. I THOUGHT THAT WAS INCREDIBLE! A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD NOT BE THAT HONEST. I WAS MOST IMPRESSED BY TH HONESTY.

The crew of four and 1 supervisor arrived at the scheduled time. All with sunny dispositions and a great attitude. Despite the difficulty of the move everyone remained upbeat (even a four hundred pound butcher block didn't ruin their day). They moved us out of a large home home with extremely shallow and steep stairs into a home with many more stairs (lots of odd angles). Everything was packed and handled carefully and there was no damage at the end of it all. A great team that really knew how to work well together and beyond that a very interesting and intriguing bunch. It was a pleasure and they made a tough day a lot easier. I will use them again and I certainly recommend them.

We hired three movers who showed up on time (well a little late but they called, and it wasn't a problem). They were very careful with our things and made sure to secure them in the truck they brought. At first we thought things were going a bit slow, but they were trying to make sure everything wasn't going to get damaged. We bought them pizza for lunch but they worked right through and got the job done first before relaxing and eating. No issues with the payment or the coupon we used. It was our first time hiring movers and it worked out well. I thought the job would take less time than they suggested (6 hours) but I don't see how it could have been faster so their estimate was pretty much spot on. Good service, was hoping it would cost less but again, our first time using movers. So now we have someone to compare to!

Movers were on time. They did a splendid job loading and unloading the furniture and other items. The crew was friendly and professional. There was no major damage to any pieces. The finished the job in less time than estimated saving me $$$. This was my second time using them and will use them again in the future.

The movers arrived 1 1/2 hours late. Upon arriving at our home, we discovered that only 2 of the 4 movers were doing all of the work. One of the movers had never moved anyone before. They were not allowed to use dollies or any other assistance to move extremely large furniture. The third mover was a female. She stayed in the truck for almost the entire move. The foreman who was 3 times the size of the other 3 gave the orders; and, until my husband and I told him how disappointed we were in how everything was proceeding, did he offer to help these young men lift or move anything. This was my first experience with an Angie's List provider; and, it was a terrible first effort.

They were great. They came on time and did good work. They built my bed frames back for me. We couldn't find a curtain rod and they looked very hard for it and found it for me. They were very honest about the time they worked as well.

It went very well. They were on time and and got everything done without any issues. They were friendly and willing to help with anything else I needed.

Arrived just outside quoted window due to traffic on the beltway. The office called to give updates on status as the guys in the truck were on their way. Once they arrived they seemed to have a system for loading the truck. The guys all seemed to work hard and be careful with our belongings. They didn't even take a break for lunch. We had moved some smaller and fragile items in advance of the actual moving day. We were pleasantly surprised that the total time and cost ended up being less than quoted.

It was a great experience-- ( as well as moving a 5 bedroom home during the summer and dealing with 3 kids can go). From the receptionist who helped and explained the process, to the guys on site --everyone was very helpful and professional. There were 4 guys and a supervisor who ensured everything went smoothly. We used them to mainly move our heavy things-- couches,huge wall unit, dressers, etc. The supervisor didn't even hesitate when we stated we wanted to switch out refrigerators between our 2 homes! I would definitely recommend them!!!

Fabulous. world class. Maybe they could have padded on or two things a little better once on the truck - but I had already self moved the clocks and such. Showed up with an extra worker. Showed up with a bigger truck - thank goodness. Even moved a ton of stuff from the back and shed. Professional - steady working and careful. Did a great (but a little slow) job of loading the truck - and an excellent job of uploading - reassembling and placing. Gave them a tip of 140 on a 280 job. None of the upselling of packing material and wrapping and foam and $3 a roll of tape. They moved what we. Good kids and good leadership.

Overall very well, couple of very small dings/scratches but they were understandable given the item and places they were to be moved.

I purchased the coupon for 5 men and a 26' truck for 4 hours to move my HHGs 28 miles. I had 1 bedroom suite (bed, dresser, Chest of drawers), 2 queen sized mattresses and box springs, 1 dresser with a mirror, a sofa, 2 end tables, 1 coffee table, 2 large flat screen tvs, and a ton on books, and some kitchen appliances, and clothes. The coupon should have taken care of everything nicely, leaving the 5 guys with a light day. Motivational Movers contacted me, and requested I fill out a questionnaire, which I did. They then came back to me with another email that was worded in such a manner, I didn't understand if I was going to get a refund, or if they wanted to charge me more. I called. They wanted to charge me an additional $433 - $545 (I believe) for gas related expenses. If they had to go to my storage unit (located slightly more than .25 miles from my complex), that charge could double again. I ultimately decided to use U-Haul and completed the entire move myself for approx. $500.00 (that is what I paid another company for 3 workers for 6 hours, and I made 3 or 4 trips with another company because we decided to get my son's girlfriend's stuff out of HER storage unit and stash in my basement as well. SO - I believe the amount Motivational Movers wanted to charge me was way beyond ridiculous, and I ended up moving myself and saving potentially $1000 (or even more when you consider the girlfriend was not part of the original deal). The lady at Motivational Movers was very pleasant, but I simply could not and would not tolerate price gouging. I would not recommend them to anyone. In fact I have told several people at work about them, and the money I ended up saving, using another company! I wish to have my $519.00 refunded to me as I ended up not using Motivational Movers, and see no chance that I will every use them, despite the pleasant disposition of their office manager.

They were very well-mannered. They did the job very well. It was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend them to anyone. There were other charges that were applicable but those were explained and known upfront and nothing was added on to the bill. The bill was appropriate and on target. They were very professional and competent. They did their job very quickly and provided a good service for the price.

They are smarted than movers I used in the past and the company seems very selective about the help they send. The guys are very industrious and the bosses keep after them. For this area, I felt the price was reasonable to low and they had good or decent equipment. The main reason I gave them a "B" anywhere was because the job was so simple. They did manage to tear furniture apart and get it in a "bagster". However compared to the usual challenges for movers, this stuff was pretty easy and simple. We also had a minor communication glitch in that I found some stuff left out of the bag to be taken away. This was reasonable on their part as adding it seemed to make a pretty big pile and it was questionable whether the collector will take it or even could take it with everything shoved in the bag. Well, I shoved it on top of the pile myself, no big deal. Oh, they also got done early and offered to do other things. They are super heroes.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. There were no extra charges. Everything went well.

I've used Angie's List for lots of references (and submitted several good reviews), and usually, AL is spot on. Not this time. To their credit, Motivational Movers (MM) showed up on time, and 4 of their 5 guys worked hard to move our stuff - we weren't pleased with a few scratches in major pieces of furniture, but were willing to chalk it up to mediocre moving skills. EVERYTHING else was a nightmare. Their fifth mover was lazy, slow, and worst of all, BROKE a major piece of furniture (a desk). They basically fired him during the job, but still kept him on the worksite. The other four guys worked hard, but clearly are not good at supervising given that two other guys were in the room with worker #5 when he broke the desk. MM clearly doesn't screen all of their workers well.... because the fifth guy was easily 50 lbs overweight and could barely lift a box. What a disgrace. The "nightmare" continued when MM tried repairing the desk. They took the desk into possession, and TWO MONTHS later, when I followed up, I get a profusely long email about ttheir original repairman of many years having screwed up the desk, and they had to find someone else. It seems to be a recurring theme with MM that they are terrible at screening for people. I finally said that I was looking for reimbursement for the desk. I noted that 4 years ago, I paid $500 for the desk, which was in excellent condition. Today, the same desk at West Elm cost $850 to replace. Gallingly, they first sent me an email suggesting comparable particle-board desks that were only $180, and that this is all my desk was worth - despite that West Elm is a national brand (division of Pottery Barn), and their quality is much higher than the crap that MM tried pawning off on me. When they finally decided to pay, MM offered to pay me less than half of the $500 (they depreciated the desk to about $250 - ANYONE would pay $250 for a new-looking $850 desk), and so I'm out $500 of my own money to replace it, and several hours of time working with rude and incompetent front office employees of MM. Of course, MM will reply back here that they did everythign they could to placate their customer, and that things went wrong on their side. I told the CEO of MM that the fair thing is to at least reimburse me for the piece of furniture that they broke.... which she patently disagreed with. Not to mention the 8-10 hours I had to spend on the phone chasing down my desk or payment for it. Bottom line - imagine if you have nicer furniture than us and you are trusting MM to move it - they'll scratch it or break it, and you could be out hundreds or thousands of dollars. Save yourself the trouble and don't fall for their coupon like I did. There are plenty of higher quality movers out there.

First, using their website was easy. I had never used professional movers, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I filled in a quote request online, and received an email back the next day with a fair quote. When I called the office to schedule the move date and service, the customer service was stellar. After I booked the date, I received a detailed email confirmation that made it easy to understand the ins and outs of their service and what I could expect. And they even suggested things that would save me time and money in the long run, like purchasing a coupon on their site to apply toward the total cost of the move. The team of six movers arrived right on time, and they were professional yet friendly and got to work right away. It was clear that they knew what they were doing and how to protect our belongings in the truck. When we got to the new apartment, they did an awesome job of moving our things up three flights of stairs and then assembling our beds and other furniture exactly where we wanted them. Nothing was damaged or mishandled. And when they were done, the final charges for the move were exactly as expected - no hidden fees. I highly recommend Motivational Movers and will definitely be calling them for my next move.

Using Motivational Movers was a wonderful move for my move. They were extremely professional, enthusiastic, and provided me with excellent service. They took special care at my request of specific items that were fragile or had been broken in the past by previous movers. I've moved twice before with two different moving companies both at double or triple the cost and I've never had such a good experience with a moving company paying attention to my specific needs for my things. With their professional warmth, they felt like family. We even took a picture together at the end of it, we had so much fun. I would recommend motivational movers to all of my family and friends
