Dave was great. He had great ideas for the bathroom and what he contracted out (painter) was also done professionally.

Dave Steck is the owner. He is on Angie's List. It was a very good experience. We were really satisfied with the quality of the work and the finished product. From start to finish, we thought he was very professional. He was on time. When he said he would be here at a certain time, he was here and at a certain day, he would be here. He was knowledgeable. He had options to show us that he talked about. We wanted to add something and he was very flexible in those areas. He was a great guy to work with. He was a little pricey, but he did a good work.

Took a few phone calls to get it going but they came and did a good job and made it work,

Nice and courteous but did not get back to me with full quote once pictures were sent so I do not want to pay extra for remodeling whole bathroom.

However, because he was very booked up, he was not going to be able to come out to our home for a while and it took several weeks to get a quote from him the time he said he would deliver it. Then when we got the quote, it wasn't competitive enough for us and given the delays we moved on to have someone else do our kitchen renovation.

It quickly became clear that I needed more work than the Deal covered. Demolition alone took a full day. The floor under the bathroom was rotted and had to be rebuilt. I decided to replace ALL of the tile in the entire bathroom (entire floor & behind the toilet). I decided also to replace the vanity, mirror & light. In other words, I almost completely re-did the whole bathroom. Steck suggested a painter who was VERY reasonable, so that was done a week later. Steck took great care with my home, and arrived on schedule each day. It could have been done in one week, but my personal restrictions meant that it took 2 weeks, and Steck was very flexible with that. Mr. Steck helped me to keep the cost down by not using top-of the line tile, but I was happy with it just the same. He also gave me break on his time since he said he planned for 5 days, but it took 6, without his charging more. For a renovation that might easily cost twice as much, he offered me a very good price. The final price included an Angie's List Deal of $1,499. It was really a pleasure working with Mr. Steck. He does very fine work, and is an ethical, professional individual. I am very pleased with the entire experience.

They did a really nice job. It was a team of 3 guys and the whole project took 5 days. They worked 10 hour days to get it done. We were really happy with the result.

Dave and his crew were great. Very professional and responsive. Did a terrific job. We're very happy.

I have not had this service provided yet. This is not the fault of the contractor. This is my own delay due to personal issues. However, I will update my review once the work has been done.

We first contracted the work in May of 2013, had to wait for an estimate until July, didn’t schedule the work until August for late Oct or 1st of Nov, showed up without an actual date during the week before Thanksgiving. And then didn’t resolve unfinished issues until February, leaving us without heat and the same problem with the shower head. Most of the responses from this company were due to my email inquiries. Damaged existing heating units, removed them, then unable to replace them. Finally re-did the units almost 3 months after the initial work, and then left us without heat.

First off I was never contacted by the company. I had to call them. When he came he seemed knowledgeable and friendly enough. we agreed on a time for the work and the additional work I would like done. When the job started first day after saying he would be there first thing he showed up at 10a and had to leave right away for a root canal. Now I know things can happen but the next day he again was starting bright and early even told his man to come to my house at 800a. Well the man came at 8:30 and owner showed at 10:00. He does good tile work, that really turned out nice, but we had to wait several days because he did not order the tile before the job. there were some other issues, but basically the job turned out nice but I would not hire him again.

I think it is best to first complain about the description of the deal that you posted. It was advertised as being worth three times the cost (~$1400). OK. Certain things were listed as included, others were listed as not included. But there were additional items that were missing from the two categories. This led me to question Steck's making additional charges for the shower pan, for example, as I did not already have one. I did not really know how to handle that. He insisted that Angie's List knew the exact terms of the deal; but why were they omitted from your description? The same goes for the shower doors. Steck was quite quite convincing, I must admit. I ended up spending much more than I had expected. I could only rate the price, then, as N/A, meaning I can't be sure. As mentioned above, I ordered upgraded floor tiling. According to the description of the deal, this was to be offered at the marginal cost to the provider for the better materials. It was not clear how he was handling that, nor did I get clarification when I inquired. Of course, I was locked in for the price of the deal, and that imparted some coercion for me to comply. He did say, though, that he wanted me to be happy with the job. After all was said and done, I had a beautiful, well-functioning shower. There is one complaint about the workmanship: they left the walls and floor covered with a layer of chalky dust that required time to clean up. "How'd it go" you ask? I'll let you be the judge.

Re-tiled bathroom shower and floor. Removed old tile and fiberglass tub and wall, installed new sheetrock, reworked plumbing, installed new 5' tiled walk-in shower with new faucet and new 5' glass shower door, retiled bathroom floor. |Took months to agree on project scope and price, and to schedule work. Communications were intermittent. Once scheduled, work was delayed 2 days by weather. Actual work was diligent and professional; project completed in 3 days. Felt somewhat subject of "bait and switch." Original deal was $1499 for new tile shower and tile floor, using standard 6" white tile, then they show you the upgraded 12" tile, in various shades, and at much higher prices. To be fair, my project also included replacing a 5' tub with a 5' walk-in shower and sliding glass door, along with the tile upgrade, which accounted for the price increase. I am very satisfied with the results. Mr. Steck and his assistants were friendly, diligent and professional, and patiently responded to all my questions as work progressed. Yes, I would use them in the future and recommend them to others. |

Everything went well. Dave Steck and his assistants were professional, polite and efficient. He also installed a new toilet and removed old vanity. Incidentally discovered some mold around baseboard after vanity was removed. I plan to use their services again in the future to update two other bathrooms.

The contractor showed up on time to view the bathroom. The job consisted of removing the existing shower and replacing it with cement board and tiles The floor did not need retiling. I have not heard from the contractor in regards to a price estimate. I believe the Big Deal coupon exceeds the labor and material to install a new shower.

They did excellent work and i am very happy with the results.

Contractor arrived on time each day. Came back when promised. Finished ahead of schedule. Referred us to a great painter. Extremely happy with final result. Will definitely use again.

I purchased THE BIG DEAL from Angie's List for a partial bathroom remodel. I met with Dave 2xs before the bathroom was gutted. My husband and I decided to replace the whole bathroom and Dave gave us the price for the addtl. work. We had to wait a little bit before work started, but once the bathroom was started, it took approx. 4 days to complete. Dave came back 2xs to address some concerns. He was polite, professional, respectful of our home, very flexible. We're really happy with the results. Our bathroom is beautiful. It was a pleasure to work with Dave and I would again in the future.

Dave was very professional with is communication with how and when he or his crew would be over. The project was scheduled for 3 days but took 6 due to material supply. Each time there was a delay, Dave was prompt in calling me to let me know. He was very attentive when discussing additional details and customizations that were to be added. If you are considering a custom shower, I would not hestiate to call Dave.

I purchased the Big Deal for tiling the tub surround and floor. I contacted Mr. Steck to arrange a visit to take a look at the space and to discuss pricing for the additional work I wanted that wasn't covered by the Big Deal. It took a couple of tries to reach Mr. Steck but he was able to come by the next day. Mr. Steck showed up promptly and was very pleasant and professional. Our meeting ended with the agreement that I would get him style numbers so he could price the tile I was considering as an upgrade. I got him the information the next day but didn't hear back from him for several days. Getting the project scheduled took some time as Mr. Steck was extremely difficult to reach. The project was supposed to take four days but took five instead due a scheduling glitch with Mr. Steck's painter. Fortunately I was able to work from home for an extra day. Mr. Steck and his helper were late each day. His painter also showed up late. Fortunately their showing up late didn't cause any major issues for me, however, I would've appreciated a call before the time they were due to arrive if they weren't going to be on time. Mr. Steck was very helpful and went out of his way to pick up the vanity when I determined that it was too large to fit into my car even with the back seat folded down. Picking up the vanity was not in the agreed upon scope of work so I was very grateful that Mr. Steck agreed to pick it up for me. Mr. Steck was very pleasant and professional on the job. I always hope mistakes won't happen on the project but when they do I'm always looking at how the person responds. The showerhead and diverter installed in the bathroom were in the wrong finish. I brought this to Mr. Steck's attention and he was very quick to get the items in the correct finish and switch them out. Overall I had a good experience with Mr. Steck's company and would use them again.

After negotiating the gory details of exactly what we wanted (and could afford), everything went very smoothly. They did not provide the seat or grab bar, but installed the ones we bought. They said they would start on a Monday and complete the job by Thursday afternoon. They were done around noon on Thursday. They cleaned up the work areas well. We would have them again.

It went GREAT, Mr, Dave is a master craftsman and true professional and gentleman. Mr. Dave made recommendations to improve the quality and appearance of my job. Mr Dave went out of his way to get fixtures to complete my job when my original supplier was unable to deliver the goods. The work was neat and completed on schedule. Mr Dave and company were accommodating to unexpected changes in my schedule. Mr Dave Steck is an honest and reliable contractor. He has the job to complete the remodeling of three more bathrooms. I would recommend this company to anyone that wants to make a remodeling job a pleasant experience.

Initial contact for the appointment was easy and the person I spoke to friendly. We set an appointment for 10:00 on a wednesday. By 10:20 there was no one here and no one had called. I called Steck Remodelling, and the gentleman apologized, remarked a truck had broken down, and he didn't have my number (in this day of cell phone contact with employees?). He quickly, and in a nice manner, stated he was going to come out himself, and that he would call me in a few hours. And with my cell in hand the entire day, they never called, or for that matter, any day after that. I understand things happen out of their control, but it's a mere common courtesy to reach out to the client so we can get on with the rest of our day.

The owner, Dave, kindly provided samples of tiles when we were unable to visit the tile distributor ourselves. Each day, the jobsite was left tidy until the job was finished. These folks are prompt, quiet and extremely respectful of their clients.
