Not only was the electrician unprepared to do the jobs discussed, but they left our house in worse condition. He took down my daughter's partially working ceiling fixture, and then realized that he was unable to put up the new one that we requested. While I wasn't pleased about it, he left without putting her light back up!!! My daughter's room is now completely dark!!! Not being able to do a job is one thing -- not restoring the fixture after taking it down is unprofessional and inexcusable! We are not fans of Trunnell Electric.

Overall the work went well, but I had concerns at times. Communication could have been clearer from the Trunnel office contact, Lew, and the main technician named Mike. This is why I rated a little lower for "responsiveness". The project was planned to take 3 days. After the third day not all work was finished. Trunnel couldn't give me an exact amount of time needed to complete the work. I think there were some issues not anticipated in their quote and timeframe. I don't blame them as I know unaticipated issues always arise in home renovations. I had my general contractor access the big picture in our basement. With his advice, I decided to discontinue the remaining electrical work with Trunnel, since later renovations meant we would tear down the basement ceiling; therefore, making sense to do re-wiring then. I let Trunnel know I would pay for the work completed, but would not pay for uncompleted items indicated on the contract. This led to confusion and back and forth to come to a clear final price. After several emails and at least one confusing phone call, I named the final price and Trunnel accepted. I asked for the modified contract in writing showing the final price, but Lew indicated that was not neccessary. I had what I felt constituted acceptance of the final price via email and left it at that. I know I detailed some concerns above, but the I do want to emphasize that the work and final price were absolutely fine and I have had no electrical issues since.

In all three cases, Trunnell responded promptly. The electricians were all on time and very respectful of our property. All went smoothly and was well done. The laundry room lighting fixture was a particular problem. We had purchased a replacement fixture but the electrician found that it wouldn't work in the space we had. He then repaired the old one and it now works beautifully.

They came on short notice. They did the work promptly and did it right the first time.

Crew did a great job relocating the electrical outlet. Took their time and made sure that the outlet was covered by the chimney housing.

They have always completed quality work. They are very thorough with their work. They are very dependable and fair with their pricing.

The guy who came was very professional. He was able to repair the exterior light, but had to come back again because the ceiling fan required a different replacement than what he had on hand. He walked us through several options (repair versus replace) and scheduled the return visit, which went according to plan.

They are very capable. They are efficient and responsive. They are not inexpensive. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good electrician.

I had a ceiling fan which had been miswired. They had to take it down and correct the wiring. Some of the wire was older, with poor residual insulation, so I ended up with a couple of junction boxes/plates in the ceiling, but otherwise they were curteous ad generally clean (wore booties going in and out, for example). They came initially about a week earlier, and discovered there was more work to do and there was a delay until I heard back from them to come back and finish.

At 2am the hard wired smoke detectors in my home became erratic and we could not get them quite. Called Trunnell the next morning and they put me on the emergency list. A team came out within 12 hrs and replaced all the smoke detectors (with ones they had on the truck), explained the new ones, repeatedly tested them before departing and charged me a reasonable amount for an emergency call. Great service, personable employees and professional at all times. I will be calling them again...

When contacted initially Trunnell Electric responded very quickly and came out and gave an estimate within a couple days of the visit. When we finally scheduled the work, workers were very courteous and professional. The arrived when scheduled and completed all the work within the time that they stated. The took great care in protecting existing furniture if necessary and the clean up was like they were not really there.

The electrician arrived on time. He removed the old fan, replaced the electrical box that needed upgrading to meet current standards, put the new fan together (this took some time - there were a great many small and large pieces), and installed the new fan. Everything went very smoothly. The only minor exception is that there is a tiny chip in one of the glass shades.

The light on my ceiling fan was dim and flickering. I thought I had a wiring problem -- maybe a short. I called Trunnell Electric to come and fix the problem. He told me to push and hold the remote button. Problem fixed. He could have charged me for a service call, which I would have gladly paid to have this issue resolved, since the problem had been getting worse over time. Honest, professional, and responsive -- I will certainly call him when I have a real problem.

we set up a mutual time that would work. They showed up on time and began working. They did not come with a tall enough ladder for the center hall, although I told them this was one of the services when setting up the appointment. So one man returned to the shop to get the big ladder. Then when exchanging the dining room chandelier, they needed to go back to the shop to get a part. I was ok with this as the other man continued to work. When the bill came, I did call to remind them that they left my house twice and they adjusted the bill. The people that did the work were very polite and hard working, although they left me with all the trash to dispose of, which was considerable. I must say, I was surprised at that. I will continue to use thm. This is a well run company.

When I called, I spoke to someone right away who said they could do the job and informed me how they billed, so at that time I set an apointment. The tech did show up within the agreed time frame and installed the switch during that visit (he did not have to go away and return due to lack of equipment or whatever). He was there approximately one hour. The switch as been working fine since.

I liked them, I think what they did for me was reasonable, but, I got a bid on something else, and thought it was high. I thought they were great, came exactly when they said they would, did it much more quickly than I thought, and were much less than I expected or thought.

I called Trunnell Electrical at 7:30 and Brad told me that someone would be there between 9 and noon. The repairman appeared within two hours, quickly diagnosed the problem as a ceiling fan that had shorted out and in less than an hour had replaced the 60 year old bracket, returned the fan to its original state, and cleaned up behind himself. The repairman was professional, experienced, courteous, and competent -- everything I could ask for. The price was reasonable and I managed to make it to work with a minimal disruption to my day.

They were on time and were able to quickly correct the issue with the damaged electrical line. Installed the other cables into tight corner with minimal holes needed to be run cut in the walls. It look great and they were able to complete the work quickly.

The appointment was at 8:15am. I was called sometime after 8:15am to be told that the electrician would come at 9:00am. He called again at 9:30am to say he was on his way. He arrived at 9:45am. Except for the lateness, all went well. The job was well done. The price was under the estimate given over the phone. The estimate was $150-175. They have a minimum of $98 per service call. The work took 45 minutes to do. The price was set at $144 reduced to $129.60, after the Angie's List discount.

Trunnell Electric is professional, very courteous, punctual, and knowledgeable. They completed the ceiling fan installation and other general electrical issues (new dimmer switches, outlets, outside fixture repair, etc.) in about 1/4 of the time the previous "professional contractor" took. Trunnell Electric is now our "go to" electrical contractor. In the future, we won't bother calling anyone else.

I called on Wednesday to see if this was something they could do. Jack spent a lot of time with me, understanding the request and the layout of the foyer. He sent 2 men over the very next day. They worked quickly and professionally replacing the chandelier and then fixing several light switches. The were polite and left the house clean. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. I will never use another electrical company.

The electrician was prompt, skilled, communicative and pleasant. The price might seem high for 15 minutes' work but there is a minimum charge for the "house call", which I understand. A funny thing: after finding this company on Angie's List, I remembered that they had installed a new kitchen light fixture and a ceiling fan in the bedroom many years ago (before there was an Angie's List) and I had been very, very satisfied with the work. So I'm glad to say that this was a second happy experience.

Fine. Called on Thursday, was able to get an appointment for the following Monday. Given a time between 11 and 3pm. Needed to leave for work by 2:15 but my son was home. No word by 2pm so I called the office for an update. Was informed the person was on his way. Arrived by 2:15, seemed very professional and was strictly business. Said it would only take a few minutes. Asked about cost so I could write a check. Quoted the cost to be around $112.00. I left for work. By the time my son came out of his room the work was finished. It looks good and works fine.
