It was fabulous. Grant Baxter arrived promptly, explained everything that would be done and returned to put all the furniture back the next day.

Great! Grant came on time, was very professional, and used a big machine to deep clean the hardwood floor in my kitchen and hallway. He gave me a brief tutorial on the best way to keep it clean and recommended sanding and refinishing, but didn't try to pressure me into another sale. I am happy with the service and would definitely use them again.

The service overall was OK. The gentlemen who performed the service was very nice. The area where they cleaned really needed to be refinished instead of cleaned.

I was not sure what to expect. They came in immediately got to work Handled furniture and cords gently. Shared about maintaining wood floors. My floor was happy for the spa treatment.

Mr. Baxter arrived on time and was friendly and polite. He explained what he would do and proceeded. Before he came I had tried to remove small items that would be in the way, but he did most of the moving. For very large items, he was able to clean around them. All in all, it was a very positive experience. He also advised me on the condition of the floors and future treatment. He was there from 2 to 3 hours, as he had estimated.

The work was very well done and I was very happy. Although, when he was finished he asked for $300 more dollars for the job. I did not see anywhere on the deal that he charged more or there was any additional cost per square foot, etc...He spent at least 4-5 hours working and I felt like I had to pay. So, he compromised and accepted an additional $200, making the total price $325. I don't like buying a deal and being surprised with additional costs. That is the negative part of my experience. Otherwise, the work was well done. I would suggest that if someone comes to your home to do the work that you give them your coupon. The surprise of additional cost is really not acceptable. S. We actually met Grant because he refinished the flooring for a house we just sold - the new owners sent pictures of our "old floors" that looked amazing, especially for a 70+ year old house! We were so glad we got in touch with Baxter floors to tackle our new home we just moved into! Our new house was a mess of poorly constructed pine strip flooring, carpet and ceramic tile. We wanted a hand scraped dark flooring to cover our whole first floor. Grant and his team really were great...we had a pretty big job that took about a full week to complete. From the very first meeting and estimates until the job was done I was always impressed with the professionalism and skill of the entire Baxter team. There was never any upselling or pressure to buy something, Grant went the extra mile to find us the exact floor we wanted. Don't be fooled by crazy low prices or offers you see from those "next day installation" places...trust me you don't want them doing a job you'll be spending your hard earned money on! It's really hard to find a contractor that is fair in their pricing, passionate about what they do...and really trustworthy when it comes to such a large investment as what our job was (at least for us!). We were so glad to have worked with Baxter flooring and we can never..EVER recommend them enough.

Grant arrived on time and did the work in about four hours. He was meticulous and clear with advice on future care. He followed up with a call afterwards, giving me details on the work and follow up. When I got home, I felt like it was well worth the money. i have pine and oak wooden floors and they look even more beautiful from his work (especially the floors that he sealed). Overall, I would highly recommend the company and plan on using them again in the future. Trusting, professional, and quality work.

It's hard to describe the professional excellence of this company, but they were terrific. I was extended a free estimate before I purchased the deal. I felt confortable that I was being provided the best professional advice for the restoration and care of my floors. On the day of the service, staff were on time, and performed their work with no disruption to other activities going on in the house. The quality of the cleaning was above and beyond my imagination.

I just had an awesome experience with Grant Baxter and his team! I had purchased an Angie's List Big Deal to get my living room and dining room hardware floors deep cleaned. Grant also inspected the floors for any damage that might need to be repaired. My floors turned out to be in great shape except for wear and tear near the sliding doors to the deck. I had the room deep cleaned and finished with two coats of a water-based finish called StreetShoe. While Grant was reviewing the prospective job, I asked for an estimate for pulling up old carpet in the hallway and the steps and refinishing the floors underneath should there be hardwood. He gave me a most reasonable estimate, so I had that done at the same time. All these floors needed was a deep clean, new finish and thresholds! The crew HAND SANDED rough spots! The floors look GORGEOUS! I was extremely pleased with Grant and his crew's attentiveness to detail, their hard work, and their willingness to do whatever was needed to make the floors look beautiful. I highly recommend Baxter Floors!

Absolutely excellent. 100% first rate service. We had him do the hardwood floors in the first floor of our new house before we moved any furniture in. We will definitely call him back when we do the upstairs at some point in the future.

As I live in an older home with the original hardwood floors it was a challenge for them to really clean. I was able to see the dirt that had accumulated on the floors over the years. They moved furniture and put everything back after finishing the job. They gave me suggestions on what I could do to the floors, i.e. sanding and polishing, floor decorating in the dining room. They took their time and did what I consider a thorough job. My plan is to have my floors anded int he near future and I will be giving thema call. I do recommend the company as I think they will be worth the money to have beautiful floors in your home.

Grant was punctual, and kept in touch with me by phone on the appointed date. Unloaded equipment and surveyed the areas to be cleaned, I pointed out stained or marked areas that I thought may or may not be able to be cleaned. To be honest, I wasn't sure how dirty the floors were, I just wanted to make sure. Grant started by performng a thorough vacuuming with his HEPA filtered floor brush attachment, explained how the steam/solution clean worked, and I could see immediate results with one pass! I had never seen an offer to clean hardwood floors by this vacuum/brush/cleaning solution/ and extraction method. The solution didn't stay on the floor very long, but it didn't have to. No moisture was left behind, all dirty water was vacuumed almost immediately. The first floor, the one I thought might have hidden dirt brought in on shoes, became two shades lighter! And this was after I had repeatedly wiped and mopped the floor with a slightly damp vinegar and water solution. It was a relief to know so much dirt could be removed from sealed floors. I have recently had a lot of contractors in to do various things, including carpentry and painting, electrical, plumbing. Broom cleaning, vacuuming and damp mopping didn't get up the sticky spots, the scuff marks, or the residue from workboots. Now I can walk on my floors barefoot if I want to. I highly recommend this process for anyone wanting to evaluate the condition of whatever they think is protecting their floor surfaces. If done regularly, I'm sure it would keep finishes from deteriorating prematurely.

I was very satisfied. They were prompt, professional, and the quality of their work was absolutely fantastic. The guy does what he said he was going to do. He goes beyond what the normal job is. He does everything you want him to do until you are satisfied.

I cannot write enough good things about Baxter Floors and Grant Baxter. I basically had my entire home renovated and hired seven different contractors during the process. Grant was the best of all. In fact, Grant saved my home! I had all of the wood floors in my home redone by grant. His estimate was fair and he even offered lower price alternatives and did not try to up sell me anything that I did not need. The work was fantastic and thorough and his crew always cleaned up after themselves and was professional. Moreover, Grant really became a friend as while I was overseas and he was working on the floors, he noticed a leak in my roof. Thanks to Grant, I was able to fix the problem which could have become a complete disaster. If you want high quality work at a fair price, call Baxter Floors!

They seemed alright, but they were expensive, so, I went with a much cheaper quote that I found.

Called again to schedule appointment for estimate and owner never contacted me back. I felt perhaps the owner thought the the job was too small (1000sq ft)?

As I said above, it was a great experience, my floors look beautiful and it was fast and not inconvenient to us at all.

I am writing this 2 years later because I am now an Angie's list member and wanted to support Mr. Baxter's business. He was thoroughly professional and a pleasure to do business with. I appreciated the recommendation for both the carpeting and the padding, and we've been very pleased with the carpeting since then. The installation was done quickly and correctly.

They did an excellent job and I was very pleased with him.
