Rudy and his team were absolutely fabulous from start to finish. We needed to repair and fully restore hardwood in an office and refinish our downstair floors, with the goal of keeping everything looking like original and diminishing squeaking. Rudy listened carefully and provided us with several different options, he knew exactly what kind of unique flooring we had, and he was able to source reclaimed wood to match it. He also stayed within our budget on the project. His team was prompt and incredibly professional, and their attention to detail was impeccable. When questions arose, Rudy was always available quickly and solved problems. The team was also able to somehow remove some severe pet stain damage on the floor in the office: it looks perfect, and saved us money. The end result was more beautiful than we imagined it would be, and our friends and family cannot believe how gorgeous the floors look. We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

The project was managed by Jimmy. He and his team did a great job. Rudy and Jimmy are very knowledgeable and gave us good advice. It's been two years since they performed this work, and our floors look great!

The quality of the work was exceptional. Before we left for vacation, we packed up the contents of shelves and other furniture. Kustom Floors prepped a small area of one floor with three different stains so we could choose one ourselves. During the two weeks we were away, Kustom Floors moved out all the furniture, made several small repairs to the oak floors, and completely refinished the oak floors on the main level of our home (except for one very new floor in one room) and installed the new linoleum in the basement. After we returned, Kustom Floors re-finished the stairs to the basement and took care of some minor details. Kustom Floors delayed the work on the basement stairs to allow us the opportunity to select a stain and otherwise have input into that part of the project. Kustom Floors gave us the information we needed to select the protective coatings for the floors and we chose the higher priced commercial grade water-based product. We are highly satisfied with the results. We can feel the grain of the wood in the floor and nothing feels like it is coated in plastice. Furthermore, the floors can be buffed and re-coated in the future without having to be sanded again.

Rudy and his team did an outstanding job from start to finish. They showed up on time every day and completed the work on budget and within the expected time frame. We paid extra for special inlays in our dining room and in our family room floor in front of our fireplace and we are glad we chose this option. Rudy personally installed these inlays and they are a beautiful addition and everyone that comes into our home loves them! We originally wanted to replace our 20-year old wood floors that started in the main entrance of our home and continued into the kitchen and Rudy said he would sand and re-stain and they would blend right in with our new floors and we are glad we followed his advice because these old floors look brand new!! Thank you Rudy and we look forward to working with you when we complete our basement as we will use KK again!!

It did not go. I confirmed the appointment with both the receptionist and the technician. I took off work and the technician did not show up.

Rudy's team does incredibly beautiful work. Many people have come through our house and commented on the beauty of the floors. Rudy also personally installed custom pegs to match our cabinetry throughout the house and it really adds an artistic touch to his outstanding job. Rudy is simply the best. He's very professional and knows the field like none other. He's always on top of the latest and greatest approaches and very knowledgeable. He's simply the best and I would recommend him to anyone!

Rudy impressed with his passion for the work and professionalism when he came to give an estimate. It was not the cheapest, in fact the contrary of 3 other estimates received, but we wanted to entrust the job to people who cared about quality. The meticulousness to detail and attention given to the sub-floor preparation would not have been undertaken by a lot of other companies who basically told us the job would take only 2-3 days. Kustom Floors took around 5 working days. That explains why their estimate came out higher than the others. But it was worth it.

This is the second time I have used this company. The crew identified areas of the floor that needed replacement, carefully replaced those with reclaimed heartwood pine that matched the original 1881 flooring, then skillfully sanded the floor and refinished it with three coats of a high traffic Bona product that will better withstand the higher traffic experienced in a kitchen. Great team, great work.

Rudy transformed a very dated/poorly built original staircase into a beautiful display of master carpentry and workmanship. The finished product changed the entire look of the downstairs and 2nd floor areas - from ugly to clean/refreshed/and high quality. The job took about a week to 2 weeks and was clean/professional in every way possible.

Great. It's been almost 2 years since we had the new floors installed and they still look like new.

Kustom Floors installed new basement floors, completely rebuilt our staircase, repaired an old railing, and expanded a utility closet in the basement. The work was very high quality with lots of attention to detail. It feels like we have a brand new basement, and our son has a new home for all of his toys! The basement is brighter, feels warm and welcoming, and we're looking forward to enjoying the space for years to come. The plans and timeline was communicated clearly and they finished on schedule. I would strongly recommend Rudy and his team for future flooring work. Great job!

Kustom Floors, LLC, refinished our thirty-year-old oak floors which were pretty damaged. First, Rudy and his team efficiently and carefully moved all the furniture from every room of our main floor. The crew who sanded and stained were professional and did quality workmanship. The entire project stayed on schedule and the finished product is beautiful! In addition, Rudy was and continues to be both available and communicative when I need to get in touch with him. I will not hesitate to use his company again.

Rudy and his amazing crew did a wonderful job refinishing our hardwood floors. Kustom Floors sanded, treated and stained our entire first floor to a beautiful golden oak. It has truly transformed our living space. Rudy is a true craftsman and takes great pride in his work. His crew has a great work ethic and highly professional. They made sure our house was well protected from all the dust. They also took the time to replace the furniture, place protective felt on every piece and do a final clean up so the place was ready to be lived in again.And when I had a question about apiece of floor board looking a bit rough, Rudy personally fixed it with all his tools as only a true craftsman could. The floor is absolutely stunning. We get compliments on it from every other contractor that has been in our home during a recent renovation, and most importantly, it is exactly what we wanted. We were looking for a natural look to our new white oak floors, and Rudy was able to deliver that perfectly with Bona Natural Seal and a couple clear coats of Bona Traffic HD. Workmanship was excellent, and Rudy was very responsive to fixing small details we wanted addressed at the end. He cares about the product he delivers, and has worked hard to build a reputation for quality. Overall an excellent experience. I would say that while there are certainly more than one company in the area that can do a nice floor, the areas where Kustom Floors really excelled were in understanding our stylistic vision and being able to match the finish materials that would create it, and in being able to deliver a more modern style. Lots of places still seem to be more comfortable working with finishes that will give you a more antique vibe. If that is what you want, you have lots of choices. But if it isn't, I think Kustom is the only place to look. Rudy is someone who is always learning new things, and is skilled at working with Bona products (lots of people complain about Bona because they don't know how to work with them, but in our experience they are beyond excellent when properly applied). He understood all the different options for trying to get the look we wanted, and was able to intelligently explain why he recommended certain sealers and finishes. If I had one area of constructive criticism, I would only say that a lot of the onus for communication seems to rest on the homeowner. I am generally fine with that, I like to be involved in projects, but would just recommend when working with Kustom Floors to be proactive in seeking updates and maintaining regular contact. These guys are always available and glad to talk, but they are a busy, small operation, and not necessarily going to call as much as I think is ideal if you are not pressing for it. All that said, Kustom Floors will absolutely be our first call in the future for any flooring needs.

A particular problem arose which required a custom threshold. We were very pleased with how skillfully and quickly the problem was resolved. The end product is beautiful! I highly recommend Kustom Floors. I hired them prior to moving into a newly purchased home which hadn't had the floors refinished in years. Rudy was extremely patient as I had a difficult time choosing the right color for the floors. In the end, they worked overtime, through the holidays, to make sure the job was done on time for our movers to move us in! Right now the floors look amazing and I am sure if I have any issues, Rudy will make it right.

This experience went well from the beginning. Rudy was professional and thorough with the estimate. The crew came every day at the time they said and did an awesome job. The floor looks amazing. They moved the furniture out and put it all back.

I put off redoing my wood floors for years because I couldn't face what I thought would be the stress of the dust and disruption to my home. WRONG! Rudy, Jimmy and Kustom Floors made the process about as painless as could be. They were meticulous about cleaning up as they went, conscientious about how they treated my stuff and returned to set the place back up when the floors dried. I only had to be out of the house for one night and they kept good communication about the process throughout. The work they did is outstanding. The floors look stunning; I only wish I had done this years earlier.

This is a very professional company who did an excellent job in both the bedroom and kitchen. They moved the furniture in both rooms - quite a bit in the bedroom including an elliptical trainer - and covered anything exposed with plastic. When they replaced the furniture, they put pads under everything. Both floors look terrific and we are very happy. The work was done extremely neatly. It is truly a joy to work with a company where the working team is professional, knowledgeable and so neat. I recommend them very highly.

Rudy and his team at Kustom Floors did a fantastic job in refinishing hard wood floors on two floors of our house. They first came to make an assessment, provide some views and ideas, in a much more engaging and thorough way than the other companies we asked quotes from. Next, they sanded down and stained several color samples on the floor, allowing us to see how the color of stain worked in our house and the type of hard wood our floors are, making it easier to decide on the color. They did the work on schedule, and worked hard, and the results are gorgeous. I can highly recommend Kustom Floors, and have already done so to e.g. our neighbors!

Rudy and his guys were great. I've gotten so many compliments on my floor. The price was slightly higher than other quotes I received, but the quality was unbeatable.
