From start to finish the experience was great. Mark communicated very well and explained the entire appointment process. He took the time to understand my issue. Justin and Nick arrived on time and repaired my fireplace in a jiffy! The work was thorough and clean. Definitely a good choice.

Masters Chimney & Hearth was the only company that actually took the time to explain chimney maintenance to me. As someone not from Maryland and not familiar with owning a fireplace/chimney it was nice they stopped and took time to make sure I was informed. The work only took 1.5 days as promised and the job was done very well. The workers were quite fast and the clean up was amazing. My only complain was the workers did trample a large lavender bush and my sweet peas. I was pretty bummed about my plants demise in the front flowerbed.

Jeff and Mark were without a doubt some of the most respectable professionals I've worked with. Jeff gave an honest assessment of our situation, and did not try and sell services that were not needed. He and his assistant did a thorough inspection with high-end, high-definition video equipment. I would highly recommend this company (and from speaking with a few of their competitors, it reaffirms my evaluation of them being thoughtful, thorough and honest).

The work was done in an efficient manner while informative to us as to how to maintain good working conditions of the fireplace. First rate work by everyone who came to the house. Every member of their staff we met was a consummate professional. Exceptional job setting up staging on a sloped to reach the chimney for external repairs and for installation of the intake and exhaust pipes for the new gas fireplace insert they installed. Gas and electrical work were perfect. Installation of the unit itself was terrific. Really enhanced the appearance of the den and GREATLY improved the energy efficiency over the open gas fire logs we replaced. Took extraordinary care to clean up the worksites and very patiently explained the controls for the new unit. Cannot recommend them strongly enough.

Expensive nothing repaired

I have had several companies do work and this company was by far one of the best in the repair, price and knowledge of their craft. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest rating, I would give them a 10 . The technician was friendly and left me with good professional advice that I plan in following that includes hiring them again in the very near future. Job well done and one happy customer. Sylvia S

We contacted WGAS regarding a potential gas smell due to our fireplace not working. They came out to evaluate the issue and cut off the gas leading to the fireplace stating that the ignitor switch was malfunctioning and for us to call a specialist for it. Based on that information we contacted Masters Chimney & Hearth. They came out evaluated the issue and provided a diagnosis that was small. They even showed me how to operate it should it happen again. Overall, it was a good experience working with Masters Chimney & Hearth. I would definitely recommend contacting them for your chimney and fireplace needs.
