WOW!! Mike, Joe, Scott and their entire crew worked diligently all day to finish the roof. Every piece of plywood had to be replaced which I had observed myself, the roof was a disaster. Rain was coming that night. I am so thankful for all their hard work and the amazing job they completed. I would definitely hire Tar Heel again. Thank you so much.

Tar Heel did a great job from quoting to completing the job. You can tell his crews are good employees and it all starts at the top. Joe came to my home, took off his shoes prior to entering home. after inspecting the roof, made a complete & through presentation and submitted a competitive quote when he said he would by email. After the job was completed Joe personally came by got up on the roof and did a final inspection to insure everything was just right. Highly recommend!

Tar Heel was very thorough, explaining the estimate and every layer of material that would be used during the roof replacement. And I was left with a complete assortment of materials to review so I could further understand the replacement process. I was quoted a competitive price (out of the 4 different estimates received), and the owner—who did the estimate—wasn’t just a salesman, he’s also hands on, which I found to be a major selling point. In addition to the great price and one of the best warranties, Tar Heel is a local company and I just felt better using someone from my community. They showed up on time and thoroughly cleaned up the area upon completion, including doing a magnetic sweep for any runaway nails. And there was a follow-up a day or 2 later to check for any missed discarded materials. Customer service was also great, any questions I had during the selection process were quickly addressed. I confidently recommend Tar Heel Construction Group! My next project with THCG will be siding!

Tar Heel Construction did an excellent job of replacing rotted wood on the fascia and bay window of my house. Both are now covered in aluminum and look great. Workmen showed up on time, worked quickly and left the job area clean and neat. Great Job!!

The crew showed up on time, and worked diligently all day -- and they did a great job. We love the look of our house with the new Timberline ULTRA HD shingles. And, they left the job site neat and clean. We are very satisfied.

I replaced a leaking 10 x 12 barn style shed roof, including plywood, drip edge, trim and ridge vent with architectural shingles to match the house. One owner came on site to spec the job and both owners showed up during and after replacement. Very professional work and good site cleanup. I got exactly what I wanted at a very competitive price. An excellent value.

After shopping around for roofing contractors, Joe came by, went up on the roof, and within 1 minute of looking, he told me in a no nonsense way that I needed a new roof for my 28 year old house. And he gave a quote for the price. He then gave me a very detailed account of what the roof replacement process entails, showed it with pictures, told me how long the work will take, and what I need to do, etc. Once the date was picked, all of the arrangements went like clockwork. The delivery of the shingles, water/ice barrier, edging, slylights, and kits came on time in the morning before 9am, at 10am, the dumpster arrived, and when everything was ready, thes crew showed up around 10:30am. They may have been a bit late, but these guys worked without stopping until the all of the work was done in the early evening. Then, as part of the contract, Joe scheduled and came to finish the interior work, trimming out the skylights. This was an added benefit, as I did not have to worry about arranging or scheduling that work separately. All in all, Joe and his crew did a super bang up job. I would not have guessed that from when Joe first told me the 'bad' news, but overall a very good experience. I would recommend him to anyone. Another gimmick Joe and Tar Heel does is that he documents the work by launching a aerial drone above the house during the work to document what is being done.

Tar Heel was the best value we found. They started at 7:30 and were finished with the roof at 12:30. Couldn't believe how fast and efficient they were.

Very professional from start to finish. I had roof shingles, fascia, gutters and downspouts replaced. The team and materials arrived and completed the job on time. Excellent installation. Everything is perfectly aligned and the house looks great. I would hire them again and highly recommend them.

Tar Hell Construction was one of three quotes i received for replacing my roof and gutter guards. I am 100% sure that i made the correct decision in selecting Tar Heel. They performed excellent work and even work beyond what i expected and for a great price. I am anticipating, in the near future to have additional work done and Tar Heel Construction will be the first one i contact to do the job. Joe Ayler was great to work with, answering any questions, living up to his promises and made himself available anytime. I am more satisfied with Tar Heel Construction than any other contractor i've used in the past.

Joe and his team did an excellent job on the new roof. In addition, he was extremely flexible on timing, even working directly with my insurance agent to coordinate so that the purchase of the home would happen on time.
